• This activity has limited availability, and should be booked two to three weeks in advance. Depending on the season, last minute booking might be available.
• Although this tour is available all year round, the North Shore of Oahu will have large waves and rougher ocean conditions in the winter, and is usually quite calm and flat in the summer. If you are planning on doing this tour in the winter, go as early as possible for the calmest ocean conditions.
• If you are prone to motion sickness, it is highly recommended that you take medication at least one hour prior to the tour.
• Recommend attire: Wear your swimsuit before boarding the boat, and bring a towel and a light jacket or coverup to wear during the return boat ride. Do not forget your sunscreen!
• Do not forget to bring drinks and snacks with you! Although there are no large grocery stores near the harbor, there are a number of restaurants and food trucks available for takeout, but any drinks and light snacks should be purchased before arriving into Haleiwa.

How to get there?

If you are traveling by car, you will want to get on the Interstate H1 West then continue to H2 North via Exit 8A. With moderate traffic, you will get to Haleiwa in an hour or so from the Waikiki and Honolulu area.

Allow double the time if you are planning to go during the weekend or holidays as local residents will also be traveling to the North Shore.

For those traveling by bus, take the #52 or the #55 bus from Ala Moana Center, and depending on the time of day and the traffic, the trip can take anywhere from two to two and half hours.
