From Waikiki (36mi, 60-70min): Head WEST on the H1 Freeway towards the Airport/Pearl Harbor. Continue onto the H2 freeway headed NORTH and continue until the freeway ends and becomes Route 99/Wilikina Drive. Continue onto Hwy 803 (Kaukonahua Road) towards the small town of Waialua. In Waialua, take a left at the stop sign and drive under the "overpass" bridge onto Hwy 930/Farrington Hwy towards Mokuleia. From the "overpass" bridge, it is 5 miles to Dillingham Airfield. Hawaii Polo Club will be on your right.
Parking: Enter the main gate of the polo field on the ocean side of Farrington Hwy. Please shut the gate behind you to prevent loose horses from entering the road. Take a left down the dirt road and follow it around to the west end of the field for parking. Parking is free. If you arrive early for the first ride please make yourself comfortable, feel free to use the restroom (in the adjacent, small building to the right through the white door), or check out the beach.

Q. Do I need any prior experience to participate in this activity?
A. No prior experience is needed.
Q. Will we be allowed to run the horses?
A. No. For safety reasons, this is a walking-only horseback ride. If you are an advanced rider, there is an option to canter and gallop for 15 minutes in the polo field after the trail ride.
Q. How many people are there in a tour group?
A. The maximum number of riders per group is six (6).
Q. How far in advance should I book this activity?
A. We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.
Q. Will there be stops for picture taking?
A. Yes, there will be stops for picture taking. You will not be able to get off your horse, but the tour guides will take pictures of you on your horse if you bring a camera along.
Q. Do you provide transportation?
A. No, this activity does not provide transportation. The drive is approximately 1.5 hours drive north of Honolulu.
Q. How much do horseback rides usually cost?
A. General horseback rides on Oahu cost around $100 on average, depending on time of day. Shorter tours cost less, whereas private tours will cost more.
