Fun free ride!

Not a boring nose to tail ride it was fun to go fast a few times and let the horses do their thing while seeing all the other animals. Definitely bring a jacket (or they have some), close toed shoes and jeans super cold and windy up there. Loved it!

Great ride and memory.
Reviewed by: Marie P., 2022/08/28We did the 1 1/2 hr.& its a great view.The guides were fun. This is not ride in a line, you can spread out and go faster in a few areas. Wear jeans, hats and bring a jacket even if it's hot where you are! It's beautiful, lush and on grazing land for their cattle and sheep. Loved it, and would recommend! Thank you for a great memory!

Great horses, magnificent ranch
Reviewed by: BeePos, 2016/07/25The horses were really well trained, no skill was required to ride them. We had a couple of chances to canter, but due to the different skill levels of the riders, we only cantered for only a couple of minutes total. One lady lost her cellphone during the canter and we all had to stop while the guides looked for it in the tall grass. They weren't able to find it and we lost some time and further opportunities to canter. The views from our trail were amazing, and it was a great way to spend a morning. If we could've split up according to skill level so who wanted to go faster could, as there were 3 guides to about 6-8 riders, then I would've given it 5 stars.

Kohala Kahua Ranch Horseback Ride

We were looking for a more relaxed, free ride which they intimated but it was not quite what we were looking for. There were four other people, most of whom didn't know what they were doing. So maybe if it was just my daughter and I, it would have been better. The ranch is nice and if you're inexperienced and just looking for a mostly plodding experience, it's a good activity. Using VELTRA was a good experience. They have a very good system.
