Tokyo
WE returned our tickets, as it was inconvenient to use , it was raining and we were too tired.
Good way to explore Tokyo City. It was raining but covers on our bus is inoperable
It is worse than a similar service in Hong Kong by three criteria:
1) Flexibility for Hop-On and Off users
Purple and Red paths differ only by 3 stations. A short (3-stops) Purple extension to the Red one would be a better option for covering all sites.
2) Usage as an all-weather carrier from point A to point B.
No sitting places on the lower deck is a serious disadvantage on rainy or too sunny days.
3) No Russian language in the list. Adding this option is cheap and will draw more customers from CIS countries like myself (My wife does not speak English and I had to translate for her)
4) The good news is that Tokyo service is organized better than that in Kyoto :)
Mr. Tom, our personal guide took us to the Kawakuchiko lake to see Mt. Fuji and we were very lucky that it was a bright and sunny day that we can see the Mt. Fuji clearly. Our guide let us move onto the next sightseeing spots at our own pace so it is very enjoyable for the whole family!
We were disappointed with the tour. A long trip to a Park. A boat ride under a lot of bridges which was interrupted by the Guide wanting to know if we wanted the Bus back or would go our own way. Were told it might be 8pm before we got back. We hadn't been able to book into our Hotel before the tour and would need to find food etc so, 8pm was too late for us. We left the tour after the Boat trip and found your own way back by Train.
We found the tour guide very hard to understand and she talked non-stop about many uninteresting things or maybe we just couldn't understand her properly.
We would have like to see some points of interest like a Shrine or two, Tokyo Tower etc.
Sorry can't recommend this one.
We had a wonderful time! It was organized and on time.
Easy access and close to all main attractions; child friendly which was a bonus
Yoshi was an excellent guide. He showed us around well and was a good source of information. We would like to thank him very much.
Dear Izham
I'm very glad to see your comments and five stars.
I'll be with you in anywhere Japan if you have a chance to come to Japan again.
I hope your business will be prosperous forever.
I'm dreaming if I could perform as a Jazz singer in your music program in Malaysia.
Good luck!
Yoshi
Had so much fun with this tour especially with our good looking tour guide! I would highly recommend this to all my family and friend! I love the cherry blossom too

Endo-San was waiting for us at the appointed time in our hotel, he is truly fluent and an excellent guide and we had a knowledgeable and fun day. The other thing that was memorable was our udon lunch in a small restaurant (inn?) which was both delicious and good value. We ended the wonderful day with 45 minutes in an onsen - my first in an open-air onsen, looking at Mt Fuji. Of course thanks to God who gave us perfect weather and thus a marvellous view of the mountain. I would recommend Endo-San to anyone traveller.
The guide was informative but some sights were closed on Mondays.
The pace was swift during the tour.
Having to line up for 45min at the ticket office to redeem our prepaid voucher when unreserved people could purchase tickets 15 mins before was frustrating to say the least. Not enough buses, had to wait over an hour for the next bus only to wait in line again for people who had not purchased their tickets. The audio recording stopped half way through the description and was often out of sync with the locations.
If your interested in historic or cultural sights and information, don’t waste your time and money on this tour.
My family and I enjoyed the tour, it was informative and so much to see and take in...
I liked the audio narration option on the tour, it was presented in English
I would recommend the tour and to arrive as early as possible, furthermore it leaves the option of going back to explore further by using the “ hop on and off “ option...
This tour made me enjoy seeing Mt Fuji at our own pace. We were picked up by a good driver and a knowledgeable tour guide. Upon riding the van wee discussed first the final.itinerary. the guide Akiko detailed out the places we were visiting and their significance. So we proceeded as planned to the heritage center shrine lunch near the pond and the lake. My family enjoyed it very much especially at our own pace. I highly recommend this tour to small groups.
we were very lucky to join the Grand Tour of Tokyo organised by VELTRA with English guide.
This tour includes the paranomic view of Tokyo from Tokyo Tower. Next we went to Meiji Shrine and later the Imperial Palace East Garden and we were very lucky to see the Cherry blossom almost at full bloom.
The bus also brought us a drive though Ginza Shopping district, The Diet Building and Akasaka Guest House.
Typical delicious Japanese lunch was provided by this tour.
The Sumida River Cruise is one of the highlights of this tour which brought us to Asakusa Temple. We were able to experience a wonderful cruise with Sakura in full bloom on both sides of the river.
The shops lining towards Asakusa Kannon Temple is a must for Tokyo tourists. We bought a lot Japanese souvenirs and gifts from the many little interesting shops.
We had the opportunity to see Ueno and Akihabara in the evening when the bus drove though the area on the way to drop off point.
Overall is a fantastic experience for both of us,
. Thank you very much VELTRA tour.
We found this tour to be well worth the money. It was easy to exchange the online voucher at the office and immediately catch the purple line. The purple line was significantly more interesting than the blue line, but both were worth it. This was an effective way to get around Tokyo and see many beautiful areas. Highly recommend.
Too few stops. Need to increase stops for places of interest
This is definitely a great way to start your tour in Tokyo. The bus ride over the bridge to Tokyo Bay is exhilarating! Just make sure you sit all the way at the front because the wind on the high way is no joke. There are multiple buses so if you want to see more stuff you can easily switch. The price is about the same if you were to take the underground metro, but you get a guided tour instead on the bus! Thanks for a great experience!!
Easy to buy tickets and very friendly staff, but the audio guide was really uninteresting, almost boring. Often landmarks were discussed after they had already passed out of view. Stops are spaced very far apart, and not necessarily where you would want to get off. It's a reasonable way to spend a sunny day but expect to take the subway to get where you want to go.
This is a really good way to introduce yourself to Tokyo and an absolute must for fashion lovers.
The tour also includes using public transport and my guide miako entered any questions I had.
She also gave everyone in the group advice on what to do next once the tour ended.
Really worth the time and the money.
Our group of 4 had a great time with our guide Masa.
We wanted to view Mt Fuji but the weather only allowed us to see mostly the base.
Masa customized the itinerary so we could make the most of the tour, we saw Mt Fuji base, Oshino Hakkai ponds, Kirin Whiskey Distillery and the Cherry Blossom Festival in Matsuda.
We highly recommend this private tour :)
the tour was very informative.our tourist guide was very helpful and friendly, with a sense of humour.not a dull moment with him.the best tour in japan so far!
Thank you for joining tour and review.
We are happy to hear that.
We hope you have a lot of memories.

Taiji Endo san was our tour guide who provided us (a group of 8 people) excellent service. He accommodated our requests due to plan changes and suggested some fabulous ideas to our visits in Hakone. We all enjoyed every moments and had lot of laughter and good stories from Taiji.
We highly recommend Taiji and Veltra for your next visits to Japan.

We found the tour really easy to find and pay for online. The details of the tour and pick up area were emailed to us immediately which helped us work out where to go etc really quickly and easily.
We found the pick up spot easy in the morning of the tour. Our tour guide was really friendly and helpful. He was English speaking but also spoke fluent Japanese. The group was only small so it was really easy to talk to the guide and ask questions, and I found him to be quite knowledgeable about the area and the sites we went to. He was wonderful with the guests and really took an interest in each of our needs as there were guests with a baby and an older couple with some mobility restrictions.
We found the river cruise a little boring but I think that was because the speakers may not have been working where we were sitting so we couldn’t hear anything.
Overall the tour was fantastic, it was a great way to see the sights of Tokyo and to work out which places you want to visit again, I only wish we did this tour on our first day in Tokyo.
The lunch was delicious and definitely worth adding to the tour.
Thank you so much I will be recommending this to our friends that visit Tokyo!!

We unfortunately were not able to see Mt Fuji on our tour. We instead had a wonderful tour and tasting at the Hakushu Distillary. I highly recommend!
Finished the day at the hot springs...bliss!
Though I was expecting that the sky will get more clear in the afternoon, there are unfortunately days with bad visibility. Despite what we missed, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the tasting at the Hakushu wiskey disillery and hot spring.
Hopefully looking forward to seeing you in the future.
Cheers!
Guides were excellent... if you are on short trip this is excellent tour to get acquainted with the main attractions in Tokyo.
This was one of the better hop on/off bus tours I did in Japan. The timetables were fairly good and there was a good number of stops. Staff were all very friendly and well informed about the bus routes. I recommend doing both blue and purple routes.
On the blue route most people only get off at Tokyo Skytree and it is worth it. However, the next bus is in an hour and then 1.5hrs (2.5hrs from when I got off). I just about managed to get back down within an hour because I bought a fast lane ticket at double the price, because I didn't want to spend 2.5hrs at the one spot.
As they only accepted a printed ticket from their office it meant finding Veltra office. However, I wasted a bit of time in the morning finding Veltra. I eventually found it when I asked Sky Bus Tours office where Veltra was and they said "that's us" - don't know how I was suppose to know that. So you should google map search Sky tours not Veltra.
The most annoying thing about the tour was the timing of the guide audio; it was either interrupted by the next location fact or it'd say "look to your left and you'll see..." and it was nowhere in site. I think this could be resolved if the driver went slower. Alternatively, investment in a better audio system would be ideal judging from other people's reviews.
The bus and the route were good but the commentary was poor. There could have been so much more information provided, about the history of the city, interesting characters that have lived in Tokyo, about the design of the city, about the evolution of architectural styles, about how people lived 100, 200 years ago. I stead the commentary was dull. A pity.
This was my first time in Tokyo with my wife, and It was a perfect day for city tour with clear sunny day and little bit of cold .Ar the imperial palace we took lot of pictures and the guide also assisted us in taking our couples pictures , we had ample time to see around the imperial palace .at akasuka temple area, we got ample time to go around and explore the area on our own and we really enjoyed the place.thwn we had a nice lunch in a nice restaurant, specially the guide told us that sumo wrestlers take this lunch and the sumo stadium was right across the restaurant.
Then we also enjoyed the fish market and particularly my wife enjoyed the cruise part which was thirty minutes in which you again go through all the important bridges of the city and gives you a nice view of the city .it was really nice tour which we enjoyed a lot and we had time for shopping at some places which was very cheap. And the guide was very helpful and and he gave us tip all the time during the tour like where we can shop and eat if we like , and those tips were very helpful. I really liked the guide , he was very helpful.
Thank you for joining our tour and review.
We are happy to get a great review.
Please visit Japan again.

We booked this tour for our first day in Japan.
It was a great introduction to Japanese culture and history.
The pickup and timing was all very efficient. The two tour guides where friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining.
