I printed the voucher at home and brought it with me on the day of the reservation. I arrived by car around 11:30 for my 12:00 reservation. Parking is free.

I submitted the voucher at the reception on the second floor and filled out a separate sheet with my address and name. At that time, I received a reception number and sat on a bench in the back. When my number was called, I boarded the boat in order.

In August, the sunlight was strong, but I appreciated that the boat had a green roof. (This might reduce the feeling of openness a bit.)

The boatmen's talks were entertaining, and the river ride itself was enjoyable. Since it was summer, I think it would have been even better if we could have gotten a bit wetter or had more thrills.

On the way back, I walked around Arashiyama and took the train home. (Since trains are infrequent, it might be good to check the schedule in advance.) Overall, it became a great memory!

予約時のバウチャーを自宅で印刷し、当日持参しました。12時予約で11時半ごろ車で到着です。駐車場は無料です。

改めてバウチャーを2階受付で提出し、別紙に住所や氏名等を記載しました。その際受付番号をもらい奥のベンチに座っていると、受付番号が呼ばれてその順に舟に乗る…という感じです。

8月で日差しが強かったですが、舟には緑色の屋根を付けて下さり助かりました。（その分解放感は薄れるかもしれません）

船頭さんたちのトークは面白く、川下り自体も楽しかったです。夏だったのでもう少し水に濡れたり、スリルがあると一層良かったと思います。

帰りは嵐山を歩き、電車で帰りました。
（電車の本数が少ないので時間を調べておくといいかも）
トータルいい思い出になりました！

I visited in March. I arrived in the evening and enjoyed cake while taking in a view of the city from a window seat. Since I could walk around the entire place, I was able to get a general understanding of the road conditions and the locations of tourist spots.

3月の訪問です。夕方に訪問。窓際のイスでケーキを頂きながら市内を一望。
ぐるりと一周できるので、道路事情や観光スポットの位置関係などもだいたい把握できました。

The tour schedule was unclear. The location for the wagashi experience was also far away, and I had to find and move there on my own. The wagashi experience was just okay.

ツアーの日程がわかりづらい。和菓子体験の場所も離れていて、自分で探して移動する必要かあった。和菓子体験はまずまずでした。

I went to the Old Naval Headquarters Bunker, the Himeyuri Monument, the Peace Memorial Park, and Okinawa World on a 7-hour tour. Thanks to the driver's guidance, I was able to learn a lot about the Okinawa War, which was great. I also appreciate being able to walk along the old paths at the Peace Memorial Park that I didn't know about. Thank you for treating me to sata andagi and drinks as well.

7時間のコースで旧海軍司令部壕、ひめゆりの塔、平和祈念公園、おきなわワールドへ行きました。運転手さんのガイドのお蔭で沖縄戦について詳しく知る事ができ良かったです。平和祈念公園でも私が知らなかった旧道を歩かせていただき感謝してます。サーターアンタギーや飲み物もおごらせて頂きありがとうございました。

Due to increased water levels, the activity was suspended until the day before, but after it resumed, the river rafting was more intense than I expected, and I enjoyed it several times more! The guide was easy to understand, and I definitely want to include this in my itinerary the next time I travel to Kyoto.

前日まで増水の為、休止をされていましたが再開後とあって思ったより激しめの川下りで思ったより数倍楽しめました！船頭さんのガイドも分かりやすくて、また京都に旅行に行く際は必ず日程に入れたいと思います。

I arrived about 30 minutes before my reservation and checked in, and I was able to depart right away with a group. If you need time to go to the restroom or buy drinks, I think it's better to do that before checking in so you don't feel rushed.

It was enjoyable to listen to the explanations while watching the boatman row diligently and steer with the pole. I'm glad I could safely connect with nature while going down the river.

予約時刻の約30分前に到着し受付したところ、団体客と一緒になりすぐ出発することができました。トイレに行く時間や飲み物を買う時間が必要な場合はそれをしてから受付をした方が気が急かなくていいと思います。
船頭さんが一生懸命漕ぐ姿、竿で方向を決めていく様子を見ながら説明を聞いて楽しく川下りをしました。安全に自然と親しめてよかったです。

On the way there, I used the ferry, but for the return trip, I booked the jet foil. It shortened the travel time, and I arrived at Nagasaki Port in no time. I participated in a sightseeing tour on the day of boarding, and it was great that I could board right after the tour ended. If I have the chance again, I would like to book this ticket.

行きはフェリーを利用しましたが、帰りはジェットフォイルを予約しました。時間も短縮されて、あっという間に長崎港に到着しました。
乗船当日に観光ツアーに参加しましたが、ツアー終了後ちょうどよい時間に乗船できたのでよかったです。また機会があったら、このチケットを予約したいと思います。

I visited the Goto Islands for the first time in my life. Due to time constraints, I only went to Fukue Island, but it turned out to be a very memorable trip. What left a particularly strong impression on me in Fukue Island was the diversity of nature and the depth of the island's life and history that blends into that diversity. The expansive grasslands of Onidake, reminiscent of Wakakusa Mountain, the charming shape of the mountain, and the view of the sea and mountains of Fukue Island from the observation deck, especially the picturesque scenery of the islands stretching towards the northern part of Upper Goto, are unforgettable. The rustic atmosphere of Myojo-in and the magnificence of the ceiling paintings, along with the connections to Daibouji later on, and the traces of Kobo Daishi (including legends) found throughout the island, evoke an interest in ancient history, especially since this island was the last place the envoys to Tang China departed from Japan (it seems the Satsuma route was mainly used for their return). The history of Christianity represented by churches like Dozaki Church and Imojira Lourdes Church is also significant. During this trip, I was shocked to learn in detail about the history of the hidden Christians during the prohibition period and the resurgence of Christians during the late Edo and Meiji periods at the Christian Museum attached to the Oura Cathedral. I realized that the history of Christianity is an essential element in understanding the history of the Japanese spirit and thought.

However, the most significant impression of Fukue Island is the traces of its volcanic origins. The lava coast of Abunase, the Osezaki Lighthouse, and the cliffs of Gyoran Kannon vividly convey the volcanic activity of the past, particularly how the magma that erupted flowed into the sea. The heat of the foot bath at Arakawa Onsen is likely a remnant of that. There are probably traces of a caldera in the sea as well. Above all, I cannot forget the beauty of the emerald-colored sea surface reflecting the sunlight on a clear day.

Finally, I highly recommend tasting Goto udon. I had it at a moray eel restaurant called "Pandora" near Osezaki, and the unique texture, which is like a cross between udon and somen, was wonderful! The deliciousness of the dashi broth made from flying fish is also noteworthy.

Fukue Island, my first visit, was a wonderful place. Next time, I would like to visit the other islands as well.

　生まれて初めて五島列島を訪れました。時間の関係もあり福江島だけになりましたがたいへん印象深い旅となりました。福江島でとくに強い印象を受けたのが自然の多様さ、その多様さに溶け込んでいる島の生活や歴史の奥深さでした。鬼岳のまるで若草山のような草原の広がりと山の形の愛らしさ、展望台から見た福江島の海と山の眺め、とくに北側の上五島にかけての島々の絵巻のような景色は忘れられません。明星院境内の質朴な風情と天井絵のすばらしさ、後の大宝寺ともつながりますが島の至る所にある空海弘法大師の足跡（伝説も含むのでしょうが）は、この島が遣唐使が日本を離れる最後の場所（三井楽）だったこと（帰国の際は薩摩ルートが主だったようですね）と併せ古代の歴史への関心を惹起せずにはおきません。また堂崎教会、井持浦ルルド教会に代表されるキリシタンの歴史も大切ですね。今回の旅で禁教期のかくれキリシタンおよび幕末明治の潜伏キリシタンの再登場の歴史をはじめて詳細に大浦天主堂付設キリシタン博物館で知り衝撃を受けました。日本人の精神・思想の歴史を捉え返すうえでキリシタンの歴史は不可欠な要素であることを痛感しました。
　ただやはり福江島の印象として最も大きいのは、五島列島が火山運動の結果できた土地であることの痕跡です。鐙瀬溶岩海岸と大瀬崎灯台および魚籃観音の断崖地形は、かつての火山運動、特に噴火したマグマが海へと流れだすことによって作り出されたことをまざまざと感じさせました。荒川温泉の足湯の熱さもその名残なりのでしょう。おそらく海にはカルデラの痕跡も残っているはずですね。それと何といっても晴れた日の太陽光線の反射を受けたエメラルド色の海面の美しさが忘れられません。
　最後に五島うどんのおいしさはぜひ味わってほしいと思います。大瀬崎の近くのウツボ料理「パンドラ」で食べたのですが、うどんとそうめんの中間のような独特の食感がすばらしかった！それとアゴだしのつゆのおいしさも特筆すべきです。
　生まれて初めての福江島、すばらしいところでした。今度は他の島々も訪ねてみたいと思います。

I participated in the Obon summer event. The scenery and the boatman's stories were amazing! However, it was too hot... Next time, I want to join in a different season. ^ ^

It was absolutely amazing!! The boatman was very entertaining, and the two hours flew by! It was summer, but it was cool! It might be thrilling and fun when the water level is high!

とにかく最高でした！！船頭員さんもとても面白くあっという間の2時間でした！夏でしたが涼しかったです！また水量が多いとスリリングで面白いかも！

I went out with my elementary school daughter and our family of three.
It was my daughter's first time rafting, and we were blessed with good weather, enjoying the 100-minute journey.
The scenery and the large rocks were impressive, and we were captivated by the beauty of the clear river.
As we approached Arashiyama, we got excited in the final stretch while snacking on mitarashi dango and grilled squid from a vendor boat we were sailing alongside.

小学生の娘と家族3人で出かけました。
娘は初めての川下りで、天候にも恵まれ100分ほどの行程を楽しみました。
景観や大岩も見応えあり川も透明度高く美しさに魅了されました。
嵐山に近づいた時に売店船と並航してみたらし団子やイカ焼を求めてつまみながらの終盤に盛り上がりました。

I was worried about the weather due to the typhoon and thought I might not be able to go to the places I wanted, but unexpectedly, it was sunny. I was able to visit the Churaumi Aquarium and Sesoko Beach, and since we had extra time, the driver suggested we cross the big bridge to Kouri Island. He also took us to a local supermarket where he recommended items like Spam and Jimami tofu that we could buy at local prices. We had many interesting conversations and I really enjoyed the experience! Thank you very much. I hope to request your services again when I come back to Okinawa.

台風で天気を心配し、行きたいところに行けないかなと心配してましたが、まさかの晴れ
行きたかった美ら海水族館と瀬底ビーチにも行けて、さらに時間があるからと運転手さんの提案で古宇利島の大橋を渡り、さらに地元のスーパーに連れて行ってもらい、スパムやジーマミー豆腐など、地元の価格で買えるものをすすめていただいたり、いろんなお話をしていただいて、とっても楽しめました！ありがとうございました。
また沖縄に来る時はお願いしたいなと思います。

This time, it was a leisurely 1 hour and 40-minute river descent, and I enjoyed it without getting splashed too much. I want to go again.

今回はゆるやかな1時間40分の川下りだったのですがあまり水も掛からずゆったりと楽しかったです。また行きたいです。

The water level was good, so it was very thrilling and fun. The boatman's stories were enjoyable, and the hour and a half flew by. Next time, I want to ride during the autumn foliage season. It became a wonderful memory.

水量もあったのでとてもスリルがあり楽しかったです。船頭さんのお話も楽しくて1時間半あっとゆうまでした。次回は紅葉の季節に乗りたいです。とてもいい思い出になりました。

At first, I was worried about seasickness, but we arrived in no time. The view of the ocean was also wonderful. I'm thinking of going again next year. I want to find a cheaper parking lot.

初めは　船酔いが心配だったけどあっという間に着きました。海の眺めも素晴らしかったです。来年も行こうと思っています。駐車場をもっと安いところを見つけたいです。

It seems that tickets for Tokyo Skytree can be purchased from the official website, Seven Ticket, or Asoview. The prices are the same, and since I often use Veltra, I'm glad I could purchase them here.

東京スカイツリーのHPからはセブンチケットやアソビューで購入するようですが、
値段は変わらないし、ベルトラをよく利用するので、こちらで購入できて良かったです。

My daughter loves Sumikko Gurashi, so we went there. The ticket booth at Tokyo Skytree wasn't crowded, but there was a line at the Sumida Aquarium's ticket booth, so we were lucky to have our tickets in advance and were able to enter smoothly without waiting. The Sumida Aquarium is small but interesting. The jellyfish exhibit was particularly amazing. The penguin family tree made me chuckle. I hope everyone gets to see it.

娘がすみっこぐらし好きなので行ってきました。スカイツリーのチケット売り場は混雑してませんでしたが、すみだ水族館のチケット売り場は行列ができていたので、事前チケットを持っていた私たちは待たずにすいすいと入れてラッキーでした。すみだ水族館は小ぢんまりとはしてますが、おもしろかったです。特にクラゲの展示がすごかったです。ペンギンの相関図がクスッと笑えました。皆さんに見て欲しいです。

I went on August 21. The boatman's stories were fun! It had rained until the day before, so the water level was high and there were waves, which made it enjoyable. I was a bit worried about the weather, but I used an umbrella and it was hot. The mitarashi dango that came by boat at the end was too delicious! Haha, there was greenery, and it was soothing. I want to see beautiful scenery with cherry blossoms and autumn leaves! I also want to take the trolley train again!

8月21日に行ってきました。船頭さんのお話楽しかったです！前日まで雨で水量多くて波もあって楽しく乗れました、天気も気になりまたが日傘して暑いぐらいでした。最後にボートで売りにきてくれたみたらし団子美味しすぎました！笑　緑もあって癒やされました。桜、紅葉と綺麗な景色みてみたいです！トロッコ列車もリベンジしたいです！

Since it was a reservation made in advance, I just had to show the printed paper and fill out one form to complete the check-in. It was simple.

I was worried about the weather, and it poured rain during the river descent and after we got off, but it was fun in its own way. The banter with the boatman was enjoyable, and although it was said to last about an hour and forty minutes, it felt like no time at all. I would love to experience it in a different season as well.

簡単でした。
お天気が心配でしたが、川下りの途中と降りてからが土砂降りでしたが、それはそれで楽しかったです。
船頭さんの掛け合いも楽しくて、１時間４０分ほどといわれましたが、あっという間で、違った季節も行ってみたいと思えました。

As a summer vacation memory, I invited a female acquaintance and her children to experience the Hozu River boat ride in Kyoto. The weather forecast at the time predicted rain, but it didn't rain much, and the water level was reportedly very good, about ten times a year. It was the first time for both the acquaintance and the children to go down the river, and they were very pleased with the boatman's calls, conversations, and the thrilling steering. They mentioned that they would like to come again if given the chance. They returned with smiles and were very satisfied. Thank you very much!

夏休みの思い出として、、知人の女性とその子どもたちの旅行として、京都保津川下りを考えて招待しました。
当時の天気予報は雨となってましたが、それほど雨も降って無くて、年に10回ほどのとても良い水位だったそうです。
知人の女性も子どもたちも、川下りは初めてだったそうで、船頭さんのかけ声や会話、それにスリル有る操縦に、知人の女性と子どもたちは大変喜んでました。
機会が有れば、また、来たいと言ってました。

I was able to purchase at a low price, and it was helpful that I could change my flight at the counter on the day of boarding. However, it's unfortunate that I can't get a refund for a sudden cancellation. When it's not busy, it might be worth buying at the counter even if it's a bit more expensive.

安く購入出来たのに乗船当日に便の変更も窓口で可能だったので助かりました。しかし、急なキャンセルで返金されないのは残念。空いている時は少し高いが窓口で購入しても良いかも。

I participated with a friend. The boatman's talk was entertaining, and the reactions of the other guests made it even more enjoyable, so we had a great time for the full two hours.

I heard it was a day with low water levels, but my friend, who was sitting at the end of the second row, ended up with his pants completely soaked. (We laughed and agreed that it was a good idea to wear clothes that could get wet! It was even wetter than at Jurapa!)

At 4,100 yen, it's not exactly cheap for students, but I'm glad I experienced it! I would love to use this service again.

水量は少ない日とのことでしたが、2列目の端に座っていた友人はズボンがビジョビジョになっていました。(濡れてもいい服装にして大正解！ジュラパより濡れる！と笑い合いました)

前もってこのサイトで予約していたので乗船場の2階で受付をするだけでした。必ず予約した印刷物を持って行った方がスムーズです。4100円のコスバもよく川の流れによって乗船時間が違いますか゛今回の乗船は1時間40分くらいでした。秋にもう一度行きたいです。

I had a great time, but the seat I was in was right in the middle, making it difficult to hear the talks from both the guide in front and the one behind. Also, since the boat was full, sitting in a narrow seat for a long time was a bit tough on my back and bottom. However, the river ride itself was very enjoyable, so I would like to go again!

とても楽しかったのですが、座った席が丁度真ん中で前の船頭さんのトークと後ろの船頭さんのトークが一番聞こえにくい場所で楽しみきれませんでした…
また、満席での川下りだったので、長時間狭い席に座り続けるのは若干腰とお尻がキツかったです。
川下り自体はとても楽しかったのでまた行きたいと思います！

I participated in mid-August 2022. I traveled by train from Torokko Saga Station to Torokko Kameoka Station, and then immediately took a bus to the boarding area. At the boarding area, I exchanged the tickets I purchased through VELTOLA, and I thought I would have to wait about an hour until 2 PM, but on the day I participated, my name was called relatively quickly (in about 20 minutes) and I was able to board.

The interactions among the three boatmen were entertaining and educational, the scenery was beautiful, and we cheered at the occasional rapids, making the 1 hour and 40 minutes fly by! (I heard that on days with fast currents, it takes less than an hour!) I definitely want to participate again in a different season! (The autumn foliage period must be a spectacular sight!) My 3-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter really enjoyed the ever-changing scenery.

Since we were dropped off right in front of Togetsukyo Bridge, I think it's a great course to explore Arashiyama and then return to Kyoto City by the Arashiyama Electric Railway. Thank you to the boatmen for a wonderful time!

2022年8月中旬の参加でした。トロッコ嵯峨駅からトロッコ亀岡駅までトロッコで移動して、すぐに出ていたバスで乗船場に移動。乗船場の受付でVELTOLAで購入していたチケットを引き換えて、14時まで約1時間待つのかと思いきや、参加した日は割とすぐ(20分くらい)名前を呼ばれて乗船できました。
船頭さんたち3人の掛け合いも面白く、勉強になり、景色も良く、時々現れる急流に歓声をあげながらあっという間の1時間40分でした！(流れの早い日は1時間弱でついてしまうそうです！)季節を変えてまたぜひ参加したいです！(紅葉の時期もきっと絶景のはず！)3歳の息子も、6歳の娘もどんどん変わる景色をとても楽しんでいました。
渡月橋の目の前で降ろして頂けるので嵐山で観光して、嵐電で京都市内に戻るのが良いコースだと思いました。船頭さん方、楽しいひと時をありがとうございました！

The three boatmen were very enjoyable to talk to, and the 16 km, 1.5-hour experience flew by. Along the way, we also spotted creatures like herons, soft-shelled turtles, and other animals. The dumplings and cucumbers we ate on the boat were also fantastic.

船頭さんたち3人が、とても楽しくトークしてくださり、あっという間の16km、1時間半の体験でした。途中、アオサギやスッポン、かめ等の生き物たちも見かけました。舟で食べるお団子やきゅうりも最高でした。

I took a ride on the trolley train and experienced the Hozu River boat ride! I went with my two sons, who are a university student and a high school student. The boatman was fun to talk to, and the river's current was stronger than I expected. My sons were able to enjoy nature and the scenery. It seems that the seating arrangement on the boat changes depending on the number of people, so I wanted to sit in the very front, but we ended up in the second row from the back, which was a bit disappointing. However, I understand that it was arranged that way for the balance of the boat.

トロッコ列車に乗って、保津川下り体験してきました！大学生、高校生の息子2人と私三人で行ってきました！船頭さんも楽しく話してくれて、川の流れも思っていたより勢いもあり息子たちも自然の経験ができ景色も楽しむことができました。船に乗る際に人数によって座る座席が変わるようなので、1番前に乗りたかったのですが三人は後ろから2列目となったことが残念でしたが、船のバランスを考えてそうなっているという事でした。。。

I boarded the jet foil from Fukue Port to Nagasaki Port. There was an announcement in the terminal saying, "Boarding will begin around ◯ o'clock," and the staff at the counter were smooth and polite in their assistance. On the day of travel, the sea was calm, and we arrived at Nagasaki Port in no time without any rocking. The view of the Goto Islands from the jet foil was beautiful, and before I knew it, I had fallen into a deep sleep, thinking that I would love to come back soon. Whenever I take a ship with Kyushu Ferry, the staff, including those at the counter, always give a very kind and friendly impression. I will use their services again.

福江港から長崎港へのジェットフォイルに乗船しました。ターミナル内では「◯時頃に乗船開始となります」といった館内放送があり、窓口の方もスムーズかつ丁寧に対応してくださいました。当日は海上時化もなく、全然揺れることなくあっという間に長崎港に到着。ジェットフォイルから眺める五島の島々も美しく、またすぐにでも来たいな～なんて思いながら、気付けば爆睡でした。九州商船さんの船に乗るときはいつも窓口の方含め、船員さんもとても優しくフレンドリーな印象です。また利用させていただきます。

The boatman was very good at chatting, and I had a great time! I could also see that he was quite attentive to safety even amidst his light-hearted talk. I would like to visit again during the winter snow scenery!
