The staff there is very nice, friendly, patient and helpful. The workshop is also very interesting with detailed explanations. They always try to let you participate in as many steps as possible. Also, they pack your lovely food samples with good care. I am particularly impressed by how firendly and helpful our workshop tutor is - he tells us how to get to the nearest station in the most convenient and cheapest way with a printed map, and immediately looks for and recommends me a great udon shop when we tell him we would like to have udon as our lunch. He also speaks slowly to pander to my standard of Japanese. We really enjoy chatting with him much :)! It is definitely one of the most remarkable and marvelous memories throughout our journey. They are undoubtedly the loveliest people I have ever met in Tokyo. Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful day in Tokyo.

It was just okay.
Deciding in advance on the tenderness of the meat based on previous reviews was the right choice.
The cruise felt like it was just going around the port, so I couldn't really enjoy the scenery.
Overall, it seemed like the atmosphere was geared towards people from China and Korea.

We had a wonderful time. Thank you very much. Our one-year-old child was excited and very happy. The weather was nice, the food was satisfying, and all the staff provided great service. We made wonderful memories as a family.

The steak for the meal was terrible, tough, and inedible. They didn't ask how I wanted it cooked and served it well done. I've heard that all the steaks are cooked the same way, but this isn't school lunch. It was the worst. Also, I don't know what language the people around me were speaking, but they were loud and noisy. I can't recommend this place to anyone, and we won't be using it again.

に焼いていた。聞くところによれば焼き方はすべて同じ、ということだが学校のの給食ではない。最低だった。　また、周囲はどこの国の言葉か知らないが大きな声でしゃべりやかましい。
これでは人にも勧められないし、私たちも二度と利用しない。

We used it on the first day of our family trip. Since our flight arrived in Naha in the afternoon, it was perfect for enjoying Okinawa as the main event of the first day. There was also a live performance of Okinawan folk songs, and we were very satisfied.

家族旅行の初日に利用しました。那覇着の飛行機が午後だったため、初日のメインイベントとしては沖縄も満喫でき、もってこいでした。沖縄民謡のライブもあり、とても満足でした。

This was a great experience for us. The owner taught us so much about the history of fake food making, which was really interesting. Making the parfait was also easy with the instructions and quite a lot of fun. Finding this place was a bit of trouble, since Google Maps took us to the wrong location, so if following GPS, be careful of where it leads you. The English was not too bad at this place, so it is okay if you don't understand Japanese and the booking is in English too. Strongly recommended as price was good value.

I went here for a kimono dressup and I selected the option for a make-up session as well. The ladies were welcoming and very friendly. They had a lot of kimono's to choose from, and the kimono's they had were beautiful. The make-up and hair was also beautifully done (using brands such as MAC!).
I recommend this to anyone that wishes to dress up in a kimono and walk around beautiful Tokyo. There are Nice parks and sights closeby by which lovely pictures can be taken!

Whilst we were in Japan we saw several places that did the yukuta/kimono dress up activity but this was by far the cheapest. The ladies who dressed us were very friendly and explained everything really well.

It's definitely worth doing it!

This was again a very tricky place to find, but in a tiny studio there were 6 stations to work at and 6 students. We were given samples to look at and choose from. It was very tricky, but very doable if you choose something simple. Downstairs was a gallery of glass work that was incredible. Very awesome and well run class. Our instructor spoke English!

It was a little tricky finding the studio, but once we were there, it was PERFECT! Our instructor was awesome- so very funny and talented. We made lettuce and tempura shrimp and pumpkin. It was so very fun! We loved it so much that we went down the street to another studio and signed up on the spot to take a class on how to make an ice cream parfait!

Easy to find met up location. Ride on bus nice. Dinner was cold! No real announcement of when the Maiko came in. Great pic of the Maiko dancing and a very nice pic of the Maiko. Nice view of the city. Over all not a bad tour.

It was my first experience with kyogen. Just seeing the Noh theater is worth it, and Enban Rider's pre-performance explanation was great. I enjoyed the kyogen itself thanks to the explanations.

There is a bit of an insider feel to it. It's like I stumbled into a cultural festival from another school...

Overall, I think it offers value that exceeds the price.

能楽堂を見るだけでも価値はありますし、
円盤ライダーさんの狂言前説も良かったです。
狂言自体も説明のおかげで楽しめました。

やや内輪感があります。
なんというか他校の文化祭に紛れ込んだような。。。

基本的にはお値段以上の価値はあるかと。

My son, nephew, and I did the kimono plan and photo shoot around Asakusa in early June 2016. The pictures were fantastic! The whole experience was the highlight of our trip in Japan. I’m looking forward to returning with my daughter and doing this again!

My husband and I participated together. I was moved to see the view from the Skytree, and this time I was looking up at the Skytree from below! The all-you-can-drink option was great, and the meals were served at just the right timing, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience. Thank you very much.

主人と二人で参加しました。スカイツリーから見下ろしていた風景だったのが今度はそこからスカイツリーを見上げている！と感動しました。飲み放題でお食事もタイミング良く出てきて満喫出来ました。ありがとうございました。

I did this with my 12y.o daughter. It was a great experience. Even though we don't speak Japanese, the ladies looked after us and did our hair & makeup as well as dressed us. They were very friendly and polite. The dressing up was just as much fun as the walking about. We only lasted 90 mins in costume as it was a hot sultry day and a festival was on so very crowded when we walked to the temple.

Very friends and fun, with lots of experiences, we are return customers and already thinking about going back for next year!

This is first time I bought my activities with Veltra and I'm very confident with them.. It is a very serious company.. I will go on buying their excursions whenever I'll travel.

It was a wonderful experience for our family! The booking process on Veltra was straight forward and most importantly, in English. We decided to make mini ice cream sundaes as they were small and easy to bring home. We received the confirmation email on the very same day. On the actual day, the train line that we needed to take was down due to passenger injury. Thus we needed to change 5 different JR and metro lines to get to the place, instead of the original 2. We called Yamato sample workshop to inform them and they were very kind to wait for us. When we finally made our way there, we were pleasantly surprised that the instructor could speak English quite well. We could customised our sundaes by picking the colour and "fruits"we wanted. The instructor guided us step-by-step, and we found it really easy to follow his instructions. We were so proud of our own creation! If we were to visit Tokyo again, we would like to try own hands at making either a bowl of ramen or tempura prawns with lettuce. :)

Wear a real kimono? Check that off the bucket list and preserve those memories in one easy experience. The studio is conveniently located near to Meguro station, within walking distance, even for a two and three year old. The two owners are fluent in English and were EXCELLENT in helping to prepare and photograph my rambunctious toddlers...not an easy feat! Our family looked GREAT and the pictures are fantastic!

My only caution is that although the description reads "40 cuts", you actually only receive your top two choices and need to pay more in order to have all of your pics put onto a cd. It was still a reasonable price, it's just that we weren't expecting additional costs prior to arriving, although it was made clear to us at the beginning of the session.

All in all, the ladies went above and beyond to give us a wonderful family experience.

I have been there with my mom and staffs were super kind. This studio has various kimonos and flowers. My mother was touched by delicate caring. When we put on kimono, they cared so much and it was all authentic and traditional way. They were very considerate.
When we went outside, so many people asked us to take photos. It was one of my happy memory. Thank you very much and we will come back to you with my sister! :)

The guidance was thorough. I made ramen with my first-year middle school daughter, and we had a lot of fun chatting. It turned out to be surprisingly easy, so I thought it would be nice to make a few more dishes. I want to try again!

we had a great time at the dinner. Recommend to come in June as you will see fireflies if the weather is good. Food is great and the service is amazing. Very worthwhile!

Lovely time for our group of 25! As we chartered the boat, we chose to go up the Sumida river rather than around Tokyo Bay, but still managed to fit in Skytree and Rainbow Bridge.
Even though we arrived unexcusably late, our host was lovely and started the clock from then on for the 2 hours...brilliant, friendly service on board, nice food.
A treat not only for our visitors but the locals as well, thouroughly recommend it!

Short review: BOOK IT NOW! Do not hesitate and just do it!

Detailed review:
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time! We got to choose from a huge collection of kimonos (seemed like 100+ styles for women). The ladies spoke English decently and put in a lot of effort to putting on my kimono. I am on the bustier side (34Ds) and after teasing that they were "too big", the lady wrapped them up tightly and made me feel and look beautiful (so don't be worried, busty ladies!).

I didn't have a choice on hairstyle (or I wasn't asked what I wanted). I just let the lady do what she felt was best. After doing my hair, I got to choose a hair piece from the "free" collection or fancier ones for an extra 500 yen.

We then roamed Asakusa and felt like celebrities! Everyone were taking pictures of us and with us. One thing I regret forgetting to do was buying an umbrella to look even more the part, but we still had a blast!

I definitely recommend this to everyone! Try to go right when they open so you have the first pick for kimonos!

I was able to realize something I had always wanted to do: enjoy riverbed dining in Kyoto. I was so excited to participate, especially with the presence of maiko. It takes about 30 minutes by car from downtown Kyoto. It's a bit far, but my anticipation was building.

When I took my seat, the dishes were already prepared. They were cute and incredibly delicious, and I found myself eating them eagerly. While enjoying the meal, the maiko appeared and performed a couple of dances! It was moving! You can also take photos with the maiko.

During my visit, it was the season for fireflies, so they turned off all the lights for a moment, plunging us into darkness. I was able to see a few fireflies in the distance! Since it was a summer night, there were a few bugs, but that's to be expected. Let's enjoy that as part of nature! Overall, I was truly satisfied! I definitely want to go again.

京都で川床料理、いつかずっとやってみたかったことが実現できました。
しかも舞妓さんもいるなんて。。と期待に旨を膨らませて参加しました。
京都市内から車で30分くらいかかります。ちょっと遠いですが、期待に胸が膨らみます。
座席に着くと既にお料理が用意されていました。かわいくてとても美味しい料理で、夢中で食べてしまいました。お料理を楽しんでいると舞妓さんの登場です。2曲程踊ってくれました！！感動です！舞妓さんと写真撮影もできますよ♪その後は私の行った時はホタルがいる時期だったので一瞬証明を全て落として真っ暗にしてくれます。数匹ですが、遠くの方にホタルを見ることができました！夏の夜なので虫さんは少し多いですが、しょうがないですね。。
それも自然なので楽しみましょう！総じて本当に満足しました！また是非いきたいです。

We recommend the plum wine on the rocks. It was great! The hosts were very friendly and translated everything to English even though 90% of boat were locals.

It was a good experience to meet a maiko but it would have been better if there's an option for an English tour.

I wore a kimono with three foreigners from Australia, making it four of us in total. While walking around the city, I noticed other people in kimonos, but something was different! The kimonos from Sakura Photo Studio were incredibly luxurious compared to others! Many people complimented us, saying "beautiful!", "cool!", and "cute!". We were even asked, "Did you go to a wedding?" because we were dressed so elegantly. When I showed the photos to my friends, they praised me, saying, "You really got to wear a nice kimono." During this trip, we also visited Disneyland and Odaiba, but all three of us agreed that "the day we wore kimonos was the highlight of the holiday." Next time I bring foreigners with me, I plan to rely on Sakura Photo Studio again.

オーストラリアから外人3人を連れて、私を含め4人で着物を着ました。
街中を歩いていると、他にも着物を着た人々を見かけたのですが、何かが違う！
サクラフォトスタジオさんの着物は他と比べて、とっても豪華！
色々な人に「きれい！」「かっこいー！」「かわいい」と言われました。
「結婚式にでも行ったの？」と聞かれるくらい、本当に豪華に着つけしてもらいました。
友達にも写真を見せたら、「すごくちゃんとした着物を着せてもらったんだね。」と
大好評。
今回の旅行ではディズニーランドやお台場などにも行ったのですが、3人とも「着物を着た日がホリデーのハイライトだった」と大満足。
次回また外人を連れて行くときは、サクラフォトさんにお世話になるつもりです。

这趟小旅行还真是出乎意料好玩，让我对于日本旅游风情又更多认识，原来即使是选择自由行模式，到当地后空个一天参与当地Tour 团，还能认识世界各国朋友，有了这次不错的旅游经验，未来再访日本其他城市，还是会想在VELTRA 平台报名活动。
