the ship's history and view models, maps, photos and artifacts from the ship's
archives.

Deck – Tour the actual area where the September 2, 1945 surrender took
place that ended World War II.
- The Surface Fleet – Tour the bridge and deck of the
Missouri and gaze out at Pearl Harbor, the Arizona Memorial and the Surface
Fleet of the US Navy.

Life at
Sea Experience – See, feel and hear what life at sea was like aboard
the Mighty Mo as you tour the gun fire control station, messdeck, galley, bakery,
ship's store and sleeping area.

Kamikaze
Attack – Stand and see the dent where a Kamikaze struck the ship during
the Okinawa campaign, and hear the true stories of honor, courage and
commitment.

"Liberty" and
"Victory" gift shops – Two air-conditioned gift shops, one on the pier
and the other aboard the ship, offer one of a kind souvenirs and commemorative
items.

Big Mo Snack Shop –
Light snacks are available in the air-conditioned messdeck, located one deck
below the fantail. Eat where the
sailors hurried through their meals.

General Admission and an exclusive behind-the-scene tours
with an expert historian:

Explorer's Tour: Get an impressive look into the ship's
impressive fire rooms, machinery and working areas. While donning special
equipment and using flashlights to assist you, you'll penetrate the depths
of the Mighty Mo and visit areas of the ship RESTRICTED to all other
visitors. |

View the
Missouri's Post Office and walk through the crew's berthing area
as it was left in 1992 at the ship's decommissioning.
See the machine shop where crew members
manufactured nearly any repair piece the ship required at sea, before
descending within the armor belt to "Broadway," the long passageway that
connects all Missouri's fire and engine rooms and is the length of the
WWII submarine. Switchboards and pre-war vintage computers that
controlled the battleship's gigantic 16-inch gun turrets and 5-inch guns
are viewed off Broadway in "Battery Plot."
Guests also see the crew's galley, where cooks
labored around the clock to feed the Missouri's 2,500 man crew, the
prison or "BRIG," Barbershop, laundry and dry cleaning shop, and huge
presses and washing machines. |
