A very fun adventure. Beautiful kayak trip on the Wailua River. The river was very calm and both ways were fairly easy ... moreto traverse. A little bit of wind on the way back made it a tiny bit more difficult but not much. The hike was fun. The last part gets a bit technical due to large wet rocks and such and being a bit older slowed us down some especially on the way back. Our guide, Harrison, was fantastic and helped us through the short area that was really difficult. The falls are majestic and I feel so lucky to have been there. It was a great day!

This excursion is a must do. The views were incredible. It does take time to get there, 2 mile row in after which you hi... moreke for about 1.25 miles to the falls. The guide told us some great facts about the area. They teach you how to paddle if you have never done that before. You do have to cross the river and depending on the rainfall, it can be deep. This is mildly strenuous, you will be walking on uneven ground with rocks and cross a river, good water/hiking shoes a must. You will need to help carry the kayaks to the water and back, not very long and there are usually 4 people to a kayak to carry. Part of the trail does have wood planks to walk on, but the first part of the trail does not. It was beautiful and the falls were full when we got to the top, not always the case, depends on the amount of rainfall they have had. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best excursions we did while visiting Kauai. We highly recommend this!!! The scenery was an amazing... more, the stories of the area, and the wonderful guides we had. The guides took their time in explaining things and making sure we were safe and felt comfortable on the trails. The stories were fantastic and there was plenty of time and view the sights and take pictures. This is a must do and we can’t wait to go again when we are in Kauai!!
