Loved Every Minute!!
Reviewed by: Christine K, 2023/06/11I enjoyed everything about this experience! The ride to the farm was both scenic and calming. I really liked seeing the other side of The Big Island on my way there. Upon arriving and stepping out of the car, I was greeted with an amazing view of the ocean from the top of a hill. I also thought I was the first to arrive for the ride, but soon learned that I was the only rider for the 1:00 ride. My daughter was unable to join me, as previously planned, but I decided to attend anyway. They were so happy to have me, extremely welcoming and accommodating to take me out by myself. They gave me my choice of horse, and allowed me to decide if we would ride first, or have the wood- fired pizza for lunch before setting out on the trail. I chose to ride first, as this was what I had been looking forward to for weeks! My beautiful horse was Rain, and she was lovely. The ride was wonderful as we made our way through the eucalyptus forest. I was accompanied by two guides who were very knowledgeable of horses, of course, but also the trees, plants, and Hawaiian history of the farm and the Big Island. When we returned from a wonderfully enjoyable trail ride, my hand made garden pizza was hot and ready. I also learned how they make their artisan chocolate, participated in a small step of the process and received samples of the cocoa nibs and the finished chocolate! I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting The Big Island who is looking for a relaxing and beautiful way to spend several hours in nature with beautiful animals, and a wonderful, friendly and easygoing staff!!

Once in a lifetime fun

A wonderful experience

Who needs experience?

The ladies were absolutely amazing in teaching us how to ride the horses and giving us a good laugh while on the ride. This activity gives you a different view of the land surrounding the waterfall. A must do when visiting for sure!

Naalapa Stables Kohala Horseback Riding Tour on Kahua Ranch
Fun free ride!

Not a boring nose to tail ride it was fun to go fast a few times and let the horses do their thing while seeing all the other animals. Definitely bring a jacket (or they have some), close toed shoes and jeans super cold and windy up there. Loved it!

Horses and pizza and chocolate, OH MY!
Reviewed by: Esther & Gino, 2023/05/04We drove from Kona to the farm - about a 2 hour drive - and found it with no problem. The staff was fun, helpful, and very professional. The horses were big so we’re both a bit achy a day later, but we were the only guests so we received wonderful personalized support. The ride through the farm’s woods was beautiful and relatively easy for riding beginners like us. Lots of laughter and chatting along the trail. Then we had pizza, hand made by one of the staff members and it was excellent! They showed us how they make their own chocolate bars from scratch - without fancy machinery - and gave us a bar as a sample. We would go back again (one of us going just for the pizza and chocolate!) and highly recommend this farm and the tour. We liked the chocolate so much we ordered more online to greet us when we arrive home.

Reviewed by: momoya, 2023/05/01初めての乗馬体験。とても満足なものでした。あいにくの小雨で、お借りしたレインコートから、したたる水で、パンツが濡れるほどでしたが、余りある風景を堪能させていただきました。
本土からの２組のご家族と、10名の参加者に2人のインストラクターさんが引率。慣れた馬達は、いう事を聞かずに、自由に草をはんだり、時には速足になったりで、困る事もありました。おわつてみれば、それもご愛嬌で、家族の団らんの話題になりました。

マウイ島まで見えて絶景でした。

快晴で見晴らしも最高でした。スタッフさんたちは皆明るく親切です。
グループごとに写真を撮ってくださいます。ところどころにいる牛さんたちも写ったりしていい思い出になりました。60代ですが全然大丈夫です。

Loved the ride!
Reviewed by: Peter , 2022/09/28Great staff, gentle horses, and a fun adventure. We had our 9 year old granddaughter who had never ridden but they went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable and with a horse that she could ride safely.
I have lots of riding experience and was able to enjoy the ride as well; they shared much information about the plants and animals and Hawaiian history. Btw, the swim at the half way point was very refreshing.

初の長めの乗馬

説明通りの2000m標高の場所コハラコースト。
タクシーで往復したのですが、こんなに空気の薄い場所で大丈夫かなと思いましたが、そんな心配はご無用。気さくなハワイカウガール達の親切な説明で難なく馬に乗せていただき、１列になって高原の海原へと進んで行きました。
生憎天候は不純で、2時間の間に何度か雨に合いましたが、眼下に広がるコナ地域の海岸線を見下ろしたり、高原には沢山の牛と出会いました。
一生の宝物になる体験ができました。

Great ride and memory.

Wear jeans, hats and bring a jacket even if it's hot where you are! It's beautiful, lush and on grazing land for their cattle and sheep. Loved it, and would recommend! Thank you for a great memory!

美しい海を見下ろす最高の乗馬体験✨

牧場にはヘルメットが用意されており、それぞれの判断で無料でお借りすることができます。（落馬の可能性があるのでヘルメットは被った方がいいです！）
初めに牧場の方が馬の動かし方や注意事項をざーっと説明してくださいました。（全て英語なので、子供たちには軽く通訳してあげる必要があります。）
その後牧場の方が参加者の体型などから馬を選んでくださり、早速乗馬。日本ではあり得ないと思いますが初心者でも同じように馬に乗り、引馬でもなく、全員牧場の外へ！馬がかなり慣れているので前の馬に続く形で隊列を組んで進みますが馬の性質によっては早く進みたがったりなかなか、進まなかったり。。ということももちろんありました。
途中駆け足に挑戦しよう！と、駆け足チャレンジもあったので小3の子など、振り落とされないか少しドキドキしました。
アメリカならではの大胆なツアーですがとにかく美しい海を見下ろしながらの乗馬はすばらしく、一生の思い出になると思います✨

Please please wear the right kind of clothes to ride a horse.
Not a dress and heels.
Beautiful ride horses healthy and well taken care of.
Our guides were awesome very knowledgeable of area and great conversation.
I wish there was more time at waterfall.
So pretty
It rained on the way back and being from The desert it was so fun.
I would definitely go again.

Jamie shared so much of his knowledge of the island with us while we were riding to and from the waterfall for which we were very grateful. The swim at the waterfall was gorgeous and refreshing. A wonderful experience overall and absolutely worth it! Highly recommend!

Although the van drive down and up the valley was bumpy, we were glad it wasn't the wagon or hiking on foot because of the long, windy steep hill. We saw the waterfalls from afar (not up close), wild horses, taro fields, streams and river. We were a little disappointed that the tour did not go the black sand beach. Overall the wagon tour is a good way to see the valley below, especially for those who are not experienced in hiking uphill.

ワイピオ渓谷 ワゴンツアー 小さなお子様から年配の方もゆったり楽しめる ＜午前・午後／英語ガイド／貸切あり＞
渓谷の自然観光と馬車移動が楽しい～

集合場所までレンタカーで行き、3組ほどがワゴンに乗り込み渓谷へ。ワゴン車内は冷房ガンガン。外は日差しが強くて暑い。途中下車して雄大な景色を楽しみ、トイレ休憩もあり。ワゴンを降りて、オープンスタイルの馬車で移動。ガタガタ揺れますがのんびりと景色を楽しむにはとても良いです。帰りのワゴンからも雄大な景色を観ながら戻ります。半日かけてトレッキングして滝の近くまで行く方々に出会いました。ツアーは、滝の近くには行かれませんが、歩かず、乗り物で観光できるのは便利です。

Unique experience in Waipio Valley

Guided Waipio Valley Horseback Riding & Waterfall Tour [Closed]
Best Horseback Riding Experience so far

He gave us clear riding instructions and an interesting introduction about the valley and the plants. The waterfall and the view of the whole valley are awesome. We got the chance to taste the oranges picked from the valley. The horse I was riding kept eating or drinking while walking on the road or in the creek and was still under control. Thanks to the tour guide for helping us take some nice pictures. Overall, this is my best horseback riding so far.

Beautiful surroundings and luxury delivery down the valley to the beautiful horses. I am a very inexperienced rider and I felt very comfortable from the drive down the steep terrain to leading my horse on the trail. My horse was very responsive and this made taking in the scenery a easy, enjoyable and unforgettable experience! Simba was a great horse!
