Hawaiian Vacation of a Lifetime.
Reviewed by: Carl, 2016/07/02My entire trip was wonderful but the Luau experience was extraordinary. The grounds itself are like being in paradise but the food was really good and so much of it. The entertainment however was amazing. I particularly enjoyed how the history of those who inhabit the islands was depicted. Anyone planning to visit the Hawaiian islands should definitely do this. I would certainly do it again.

Amazing Luau

We arrived and the staff was very friendly in directing us where to go. As we got into the tram, we were welcomed but a coupe peacocks flapping their feathers. The tour of the garden was very informative and fun. If you get there early you can walk around and take pictures. The food was delicious! There was a live band and taught us how to do the hula. And the show was very entertaining. We definitely recommend this luau. We love the fact that it is family owned.

Liked it so much we brought our kids to see it

We went the the Smith family luau in 2011 when we took our parents for their 50th anniversary. We loved it. Great food with an outstanding setting.
This year we took our son, daughter in law and grandson to Kauai for a week. We decided to go to Smiths luau the night before leaving. If far exceeded expectations.
Come early to walk the garden grounds as they are spectacular. Our son has gone to luaus on Maui and Oahu as well as at Gaylords. He thought this one had it all. Great food a very well done show.
You too will come back.

Kauai's Best Luau

We enjoyed visiting and getting to know the other people at our table, even though they were strangers. The food was fantastic, varied and perfectly prepared. We loved the fact that nothing felt rushed or skimpy. The presentation in the theater was exceptionally well performed and really captured the variety of island cultures that have created this Pacific paradise. There was absolutely nothing about this evening that I would have made any different.

Reviewed by: Ozzie, 2015/10/08It goes without saying, the food was INCREDIBLE! An all you can eat buffet of delicious Hawaiian delicacies? Yes please, sign me up! The dances at the end was really great too. So awesome to get to know a little more about the island, its history and to see all those amazing performers move about the stage. My only suggestion would be to not eat all day and save yourself for this experience. There are so many varieties of food to partake, you're gonna need a completely empty stomach to have it all. Enjoy!

The Best Combo Tour in Kauai

The Luau dinner was the BEST we have ever had. A good variety of Hawaiian and American cuisine. The service was super organized and everyone was seated and eating with- in minutes.
After eating everyone walked about 100 yards to the outdoor theater and enjoyed dancing depicting several cultures as well as Hawaiian traditional dances and fire dance.
The four of us had a wonderful evening!!

Excellent Tour.
Reviewed by: Emma, 2015/02/01We usually choose to avoid the tours in favour of exploring on our own. However, on advice from friends who previously lived in Hawaii, a Luau is an experience not to be missed.
We chose the Fern Grotto River Boat Tour and Smith's Tropical Paradise Garden Luau combination tour with pick up and drop off from our hotel. It proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and evening.
The Fern Grotto, despite now missing a large number of ferns after the hurricane, is still a beautiful and tranquil spot to visit.
The highlight of this tour was definitely the Luau though. From start to finish, the service and quality of the show were seamless. The grounds are beautifully manicured and a photographer's delight. The food was delicious and ample in quantity; especially the pork. We were most impressed with how they managed to serve so many people in such an organised fashion. Everything was so very orderly and most visitors were invited to help themselves to second and third helpings. The Mai Tais and Punch were delicious and soft drinks were also readily available.
The show itself was very good and we were highly impressed with the quality of the performance.
Overall, a fabulous tour and highly recommended for all ages.

The food was excellent and drinks were very good. I had the Mai Tai and Hawaiian punch. Take a camera because the park is amazing. Smoking is near the bathroom , fyi :) this company has best ratings with trip advisor. I would love to see it again. Oh video camera because no flash photos. You need $20 to purchase the photo taken upon arrival. Have fun!

Hawaiin Tradition
Reviewed by: JDowdell, 2014/11/29I've been to several luaus on different islands and Smiths is my favourite by far. Beautiful property to walk around. Buffet dinner is very organized and extremely filling not to mention the free Mai Tai's. Really nice show of Hawaiin style dance as opposed to the "Vegas" act I've seen at other Luaus. And if you are staying in Kapa'a, transportation is included. Definately a "must do " while you are visiting the beautiful island of Kauai
