The best sunset dinner cruise we could have asked for!!
Reviewed by: Emma D, 2022/10/10Let me start by saying I was a little nervous about booking this dinner cruise because I didn't know if the price would be worth it. I also saw in the fine print when booking that you were only allowed 3 alcoholic beverages the entire trip, which confused me since it says open bar.
I have never been on a dinner cruise and this was my boyfriends' first trip to Hawaii so I wanted everything to be perfect! We were picked up from the hotel and I immediately asked about the drink limit. He said there wasn't one so that was a relief! It was even nicer knowing that we were getting dropped back off at the hotel so we could drink as much as we wanted. We shared the bus with another couple and had some nice conversations.
We got to the boat and it was raining a little bit but it stopped almost as soon as we left the harbor. We did some sailing since the weather was nice and we watched a beautiful sunset. The food was served buffet style so you could go back as many times as you wanted and it was all delicious. The crab cakes and ahi sashimi were my absolute favorites and my boyfriend really enjoyed the tri tip and ahi as well. The dessert was excellent and even accompanied by Bailey's and an amazing raspberry dessert wine that I wish I knew the name of so I could buy some back home.
There was a photographer on board and she really tried to get pictures of everyone that wanted pictures. She posed us and we were able to get some beautiful pictures in front of the sunset. She was very nice and so was the entire crew. They were attentive, fun, joking, and all around seemed like wonderful people. The bathrooms were clean which is always nice, especially when you're on a boat.
We had an amazing night and really loved the fact that it was a small intimate setting. We've already discussed it and will be booking this sail again on our next trip to Maui.

A Magical Experience!

We loved the cruise so much that we booked another dinner excursion at the end of our stay at Maui!

Fantastic time!

The crew was a delight, they made some wonderful food, excellent drinks, and the service was astounding! Lastly the professional photographer was extremely appreciated, we bought photos and they were beautiful.
This will definitely be on our list of things to do on our next visit.

Every penny was worth it!!
Reviewed by: Jessica Pasold, 2022/01/01As penny pinchers we originally struggled to justify paying as much as we did for one activity but it was our honeymoon so we wanted to make it special. After enjoying the night on Alii Nui’s dinner sail and meeting the incredible staff, enjoying the open bar and the yummy food we found ourselves looking up what other excursions Alii Nui offers and booking a turtle snorkel with them. When we talk about our trip to Maui we rave about Alii Nui and tell everyone they were 100% the highlight. Wish we could go back to Maui just to do more excursions with them.

Reviewed by: Caitlyn , 2021/07/20The Alii Nui Sunset Cruise was incredible! My husband and I booked the cruise for our honeymoon and were very pleased with the whole experience. The boat launched from Maalaea Harbor around 5pm and began serving drinks once out of the harbor. We loved the signature drinks! Dinner was delicious and offered gluten free options including seared ahi tuna, prime rib, potatoes, and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. The ribs were advertised as GF, but had bbq sauce containing gluten on top. The crew was very helpful when I asked to check on gluten friendly options!
We could see amazing views of the sunset the whole time which was super important to us. We also loved that we had freedom to move around the boat as desired.
The whole crew was fantastic! Captain Jamey, Kalina, Farel, and Jackson went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. We were impressed that the crew not only served throughout the dinner, but also picked guests up from hotels, sailed the boat, bartended, and also made time to be friendly with the guests. The cruise also had a professional photographer, Anna, who took beautiful photos of the guests throughout the evening. During the dinner, she edited the photos and then we were able to purchase them as keepsakes.
This would make a great romantic evening for any honeymooners or couple! We highly recommend. :)

Felt like I was on Below Deck and I LOVED it!!

The food wasn't the greatest but the drinks were amazing and the service alone made me want to come back again and again. The team on this boat was so attentive and constantly giving us drink after drink! Everyone was so funny, sweet, and kind and it was such a relaxing activity.
