Such a fun day!
Reviewed by: Jen F., 2024/04/13 This was by far the best cruise excursion I have ever participated in, and I’ve done quite a few on Oahu.
Pickup was well organized and on time. The ride out to the boat was pleasant.
The crew in itself felt like family. They were the nicest people, very welcoming and knowledgeable.
Captain even jumped in the water with the kids and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Bbq lunch was great.
We saw manta rays and turtles that came right up to the boat,it was a really wonderful day and I can’t tell them thank you enough.
I will absolutely book this again next time we visit.

Awesome tour with great guides

We recommend this group because they are very knowledgeable, you get to play on the sandbar, enjoy a great lunch, snorkel around a small reef and they take you to a spot to see many turtles!!!!
Our captains were so helpful with our family members that needed extra help, they were so attentive to their needs and were watching our for them all the time...... They were so friendly and pleasant to be around..... Awesome, fantastic, wonderful, excellent were the words my family of 6 kept saying over and over...... We highly recommend Captain Bob's and will definitely return when we come back to Oahu....

The crew helped you out throughout the whole experience. One of the guides even helped me with my snorkel experience and guided me. It was one of my favorite things to do and would recommend this activity to anyone I know. Thank you to all the wonderful crew, I am sorry that I can’t remember all the names. And thank you to my guide that helped me with the snorkel experience you have no idea how grateful I am. Overall, one of the top activities to do.

Such an Amazing Time!
Reviewed by: ChristinaSteach, 2024/01/18I was set on a tour that stopped at just the Sandbar, my mom insisted we do a tour that went to 2 locations... She was right! The sandbar is awesome and I encourage people to get out and walk around while you're there, play volleyball (if you want) or just enjoy being on land while under about 2 feet of water! Its wild! A Puffer Fish greeted us! She was much bigger than what I thought puffer fish were. We had burgers and drinks and were off to our second location ... the reef!! On our way we saw a bunch of sea turtles! They were HUGE! Some swam right up close to the boat! It was incredible. It was after a mild storm so the water wasn't 100% clear but still fairly clear. There were tons of colorful fish swimming all around us. I took a few mins to swim around the whole reef! Which every time I popped my head up and saw I was further away from the boat was a little scary and exciting! It was such a fantastic adventure day! My mom loved it, my kids were a little afraid at first at the reef but came to love it too! The crew... let me not forget about the crew! They are absolutely amazing! Knowledgeable, friendly,... when my daughter started to cry (9 years old) they knew her name and kept encouraging her! It was the sweetest! My son thought the main guide/lifeguard was the coolest and just wanted to swim where ever he swam (7 years old). The captain on our boat that day was a lady and also super friendly! Highly recommend to all ages and all skill levels! (I had my cell phone with a water protected case - i highly recommend. I purchased mine before the trip from REI, they sold similar ones in the ABC stores in Hawaii.)

Amazing day trip!

The lunch was great and we overall had an amazing time. We would definitely do this again and recommend to anyone either as a couples trip or as a family trip. I think it’s great for all ages.

Fantastic Fun Day Captain Bob’s Sandbar Boat Ride !!!
Reviewed by: marcy3017, 2023/12/11Perfect pick up bus ride in AM just about 50ft from ilikai hotel , make sure you have copy print out voucher proof of purchase to show driver , bus ride about an hour ride to Kaneohe Bay , there were two boats , one Japanese speaking , boat ride wonderfully exhilarating around Kaneohe Bay to sandbar spot , perfect weather on sandbar volleyball play , grilled burgers with toppings and sides tasty with having second servings offered , kids and family members had a blast snorkeling at barrier reef spot lots of fish and sea life , boat ride back to dock saw many sea turtle’s swimming above water nature at its best !!! Staff and boat Captain , Fun , Funny , and HelpFul !!! Will recommend & do again in future

New locals enjoying learning about our new home!

I will be recommending this tour to all our future visitors! Additionally, the lunch was bomb!! Cheeseburgers using local beef and fresh vegetables. They are local, they support local and are the true definition of Aloha!

GREAT trip!

Amazing experience

We definitely had to take the kids to experience it. Kids had an amazing time playing volleyball and snorkeling around the reef. We even saw some turtles. Burgers were delish! The crew were professional and caring. While snorkeling my daughter was stung by two jellyfishes and the crew were so attentive to her. Major props to them. Definitely a 5 star!

We were lucky to see so many turtles on the sail out to the reef and then magically we saw one while snorkeling. I will never forget that experience! The reef was full of fish; one of the best snorkeling excursions we've done. The sandbar was beautiful too. I'm so glad we did this, and we highly recommend it!

Great Snorkeling Trip!

Our whole experience was incredibly enjoyable. Word of advice to the future participants- listen carefully to the instructions before snorkeling and you’ll see a lot under the water. We saw many fish and a turtle. It was amazing!

Best part of the trip!!!

Julia was funny and very informative about the area.
The drive over to the marina was absolutely amazing the view was incredible. I’ve never snorkeled before but felt super safe we saw sea turtles and all kinds of fish!! Would highly recommend this outing ️☀️ it was one of the highlights of our trip.
We thought it was really cool that some of our favorite movies were filmed around the area also.
Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean and 50 frost dates. Great memories were made for me and my kids thanks until next time Oahu. Mahalo

What an AMAZING trip!!!

The trip out to the sandbar was relaxing yet exciting at the same time as we looked back upon the shoreline admiring the greenery that the island presented. The sandbar was just breathtaking!!! It was so amazing to think that we were standing in the ocean on a beach....crazy! The cruise around afterwards presented not only some sea turtles, but two large schools of manta rays feeding on the surface.
Overall trip was completely enjoyable and we plan on bringing all of our friends and family when they visit!!!!
On a side note, parking is extremely difficult in/on the marina, so just park on the side of the highway (everyone does) and it's just a short walk to the boat.
Make this one of your excursions when you visit!!!!!

The crew did a get job explaining the rules, what to expect, and why. I felt safe and they included everybody and were interactive, very friendly and personable. This was my first time snorkeling, so I was a little nervous, but they put me at ease. It was truly amazing —-we got to see the giant sea turtles!!!
I also saw at least seven or eight different fish along the reef. And I even was swimming with beautiful school of fish below me!
I like the fact that they introduced us at the sandbar and let us get warmed up to snorkeling, and we had a game of volleyball before we went to the reef. They grilled hamburgers and had barbecued beans, and it was a delicious lunch!
all in all it was a great day, and a memory I will always cherish. I highly recommend this activity and tour to anybody going to Hawaii.

The sandbar island adventure!

They supplied the tastiest BBQ burgers with vegan options as well! Our captain was so professional, yet funny, and extremely helpful taking pictures for us, and giving us the best sandbar adventure ever! We played volleyball, snorkeled, and enjoyed cruising around the sandbar. I can't wait to go again!

Amazing day at the sandbar, lots of sea turtles & snorkeling
Reviewed by: Amm, 2023/04/03Upon going to the sandbar for the first time, I decided to give Captain Bob's Kaneohe Bay a try. So glad I did because I had an amazing time on this cruise. All of the employees were super nice and made sure everyone felt safe & comfortable on the cruise. The sandbar was absolutely stunning! The crew set up a volleyball net which allowed for all of us to have a fun match of beach volleyball at the sandbar. Those that didn't want to participate were able to walk around the sandbar at their leisure. I enjoyed that this cruise was away from all of the other cruises and boats in the area. It was like we had our own secluded little area. The food was delicious and afterwards we cruised over to a reef area to snorkel. Along the way, the captain went slow to make sure we got a chance to see all of the sea turtles floating on the surface of the ocean. We saw so many of them! The area we snorkeled in was amazing. I saw so many different kinds of fish and several sea turtles that literally swim right next to us. I had an amazing time and photos to last a lifetime. If you are thinking about doing a cruise to the sandbar, look no further. Would absolutely go again!

The best Crew Ever!

Wonderful time under the blue sky.

It was the first snorkeling experience for the children, and they seemed nervous, but they were able to try it even in places where they couldn't get their feet on, and they were able to see the fish with their own eyes! The hamburger we ate on board was also exceptional. We had a really valuable experience. thank you very much!

Great Experience.

We made a mistake while making our order, but they were very accommodating and helped us out. The captain and crew were extremely nice and helped set the tone for a good expedition. Quite a few families with kids went along, as well. The captain took time to spend with a young boy, giving him a treat that you could tell made the boy’s day. The trip gives you a great view of the bay, only improved by very a hospitable captain and crew. And we saw lots of turtles! We really appreciated the experience.

Great Tour!
