The food was amazing and service was amazing! 5 course meal was pretty filling. The hula show was awesome! They are amazing! You could barely tell you were on a boat. We got to see the sunset and even some whales.

60th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal
Reviewed by: Amy D, 2023/08/15My Father and Mother-in-law asked me to plan their vow renewal ceremony while we were in Honolulu. They wanted to renew their vows on the beach, but with my father having Parkinson's, I knew it would be a difficult trek through the sand. While searching, I came across the Star of Honolulu. They had everything we were looking for. My Father could have use of his mobility scooter, as the boat had an elevator. The dinner and entertainment were good, and the ceremony performed by the captain was intimate. The captain made sure that my father was comfortable and safe during the ceremony and paid special attention to both of my parents. It was a special time and one we won't forget.

Amazing adventure!

Fantastic vow renewal experience!
Reviewed by: Cathy Cavanaugh, 2019/12/03Highly recommend the Vow Renewal package! The experience was wonderful from start to finish. The ship is beautiful and staff was so welcoming. We were escorted to our table in the elegant dinning room. Our table was by the window, but every seat has a great view. The package includes cocktails and there are many to choose from. Food was excellent and the presentation was lovely. Service was outstanding! And the vow renewal by the Captain was really, really meaningful. He did a great job and we loved him. They even took photos for us with our phone. (Note: We unfortunately left without taking care of a tip for the Captain and photographer....they really deserved a tip so we are mailing it in.) It was a bit windy so the water got a little choppy. If motion sickness is an issue for you, suggest taking a non-drowsy or ginger-based motion sickness pill before you board. Also, parking was very easy in the gated lot - which is across the street from the Old Spaghetti Factory. We arrived almost an hour early for the cruise, there was plenty of space in the lot, and we had a drink at the Old Spaghetti Factory (a 30 second walk to the ship). Definitely a deluxe experience!

The perfect way to celebrate our anniversary!!

We had a fabulous meal of steak and lobster, watched the Polynesian show which was amazing and saw whales several times for the first time! We had the Captain renew our vows after 21 years together. He did it at the helm of the ship and the view was absolutely beautiful! I would definitely do this again, the crew was amazing and our every need was tended to! It was the absolutely perfect way to spend our 21st anniversary!!!

Knocked it out of the park!!!
Reviewed by: Chinup814, 2018/07/30I could not be more pleased with my experience on the Star of Honolulu for our vow renewal! The entire experience was flawless from the captain and his beautiful words to the fireworks over the beach at the end. Only two suggestions or pieces of information for others considering this... 1) the three-star experience is not air conditioned and if you are there in July like we were, be prepared to sweat! 2) no children's menu so if you have a picky little one like I do, bring kid-friendly snacks
