Reviewed by: GG, 2024/03/18This activity was great our guide was knowledgeable in all things from the horses themselves to the whales and turtles in the ocean! The horses were well mannered and well kept! And the ride was just long enough. We rode on and close to the beach with clear views of the ocean, whales breaching and turtles popping up! Our guide even did a photo shoot for us!

Walk along the beach
Reviewed by: Beach walk, 2023/07/28Destination was easy to find. The guides were very attentive and got us all on the horses fairly quickly. I've never really ridden a horse before so I was a bit nervous of maneuvering my horse but she was a go getter so I didn't have to try too hard. We all rode in a line which was very easy. We had to stop a few times which my horse hated, I got a very impatient horse which I don't blame her. Kinda wished we went a quicker pace but then that would shorten our trip which was 1.5hrs which .5 of that was loading and unloading the horses. I wish the trail was a bit longer. The area was beautiful and quiet which I like. I got some good pictures. We used my step daughters phone for the group pictures cause she had a better camera but when she sent me the pics they came out blurry and I don't get to see her often. Was a little disappointed but it was OK. Technical error. Overall great experience and got to feed the horses treats in the end.

So beautiful and relaxing!!

This location was AMAZING! We drove out to the other side of the island, which was pretty awesome to be away from the touristy rside.
Our tour guide was a young gal who treated my family GREAT! She was very professional, kind and knowable about horses. I believe her name was Freda
The path (trail) we took was absolute Breathe taking. The ocean is sooooooo beautiful. Better than the tourist side! Even the grassy trails were . The horses are beautiful, well trained and they looked professionally cared for.
I rate Frida , the horses, the trail with 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Now… as for the other gal (straight blonde hair) who also was NOT our tour guide. I believe her name was Phoebe Giving her ⭐️
She was not interested in interacting with my family.
Wow.. as soon as youngsters arrived for their tour… Phoebe, was SOCIAL and guided them with EVERYTHING and she was giddy too. Total change.
We were all grouped together but would be toured separately. When she spoke out she said, you’ll go out separately and you’ll be taken out by me or Freda. Bam, I already knew she wasn’t going to be our tour guide because we weren’t young as the other group. She wanted to tour the ones closest to her age group. That’s perfectly fine but you’re not supposed to make it so obvious.
Anyhow, we were so PLEASED to have Freda guide us. She made this experience GREAT that we would do this again with her!

It was the first time for us to do horse riding, but nothing was difficult and had a really good time spending time enjoying the beautiful beach while riding the cute horses. We enjoyed this activity the most between all the things we did during our vacation in Hawaii.
The transportation to this place was a bit poor. We took Uber to this place and tried to schedule an Uber/Lyft for going back before hand but it was unavailable around this spot. On the way back, there was no Uber/ Lyft available so we had to use taxi which cost us triple. I would recommend renting a car to get to this place or set up a taxi pick up in advance so you wouldn’t have to worry.
The activity itself was really good and it was worth paying all the cost getting here and going back as well.
We would definitely want to go back next time we visit Oahu again!

BEST HORSEBACK RIDING

This horseback riding trails is one to beat, The staff was super friendly and ready to strike up conversation, the horses are gorgeous and friendly and the view! Nothing beats looking at the shore while on a horse, but most importantly they have these goats that you know are up to no good haha. Definitely will remember the experience and most definitely will be back again when visiting the islands

Sunset Horseback Beach Ride

We saw a stunning Rainbow the colors were so vibrant and the rainbow looked as though it went straight into the ocean. The guides were some of the best on the island and were very knowledgeable about the horses and their personality and their likes and dislikes. Beautiful scenery and would this to anyone who is visiting Oahu.

Horseback riding north shore

Reviewed by: Lai from California , 2021/03/08It was really a great experience, regardless of the rain. HoHo was my horse— described as the Regina George of the group! The staff were friendly. Wish there was a way to communicate with our leader, Cassie a bit better while on the trail. It would be nice to have stopped in one more place for pictures and if the spot we do stop at could have a block so people could get off, that would be cool! It would also be cool to learn a little about the plants we see, the area we are in, more information about POLO too.
The pace was good although a little instruction on how to sit in the seat (where to tighten to lessen the inside leg pain) would be helpful too.
I did not see and was not ensured of a method for cleaning the helmets. Maybe offering some kind of bandana for customers to buy so people who are weary of lice or anything can feel more comfortable.
We really learned the meaning of learning how to ride “it”.

Fantastic
Reviewed by: Donna, 2017/10/01Wanted to ride on a beach and we were not disappointed. Angela was our guide and very enjoyable. My horse was a retired rodeo horse and my husband's was a retired polo horse.
The views were amazing. We rode along the ocean into a field and then back to the beach. Angela took our photos in the beach and spending that time with her and the horses was a dream come true.
I highly recommend taking Notth Shore Beach horseback riding tour. It is not safe for the horses to run in the sand sonif you want speed, it is not for you. But you will be sorry if a fast run on the beach deters you.

My first ride
