All seemed normal then........ uh oh!
Reviewed by: Alex S, 2014/06/02Pick up location is litterally right behind the Ilikai Hotel where we stayed. Crew was fun and interactive. Watched others ahead of us go up and come back and the crew took pictures. We however went up (1000ft) and during our return back to the boat, the hydraulic system failed and caused a large whiplash surge to us. Banged our legs against the line but no real damage. Then I noticed a crew member removing his shirt. Why would he do that? Because he was going to get in the water. So we started to touch down into the water, but unlike the others we did not come back up. The parachute and lines sank in the water along with us and we had to release ourselves from the harness as we were being dragged. The one crew memeber dove in to gather the chute as we swam back to the boat.
Best part? I got the whole thing on my chest mounted GoPro. We were fine and it was still quite fun. We just got a bonus. So why did I give it 4/5 stars? Since I was filming it all I recorded only a little over 7 minutes when it was supposed to be a 10 minute round trip ride. So if you go bring a timer and make sure you get what you paid for.
Other than that I do recommend.

Second time... not bad :D
Reviewed by: Chrystal, 2013/12/12This was my second time attending Hawaiian Parasail in Honolulu and it wasn't as good as the first time. Everything was great as far as the actual para-sailing goes. Honestly, it felt rushed and not as excited for them to have a family of 8 for our trip. We did tip them and we don't regret it but I do wish that it felt more welcoming than it did.
But I would go again for a third time :D

Exciting

Great experience
Reviewed by: Lisa, 2013/05/15We did the 1000ft option which was great. I would recommend going the whole way and doing 1200ft. Really good way to see waikiki from a different angle, the colour of the water was amazing and being up there was so quiet and relaxing! Getting dunked was great so wear your bathers! Also they took heaps of photos so we were glad we selected that option for $30. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was that we were pretty rushed through the whole thing. I understand they have time limits, but even allowing an extra 5 minutes would have been better. But overall a good experience that I would recommend!

The crew was wonderful and I enjoyed it thouroughly. I have vowed to parasail with each of my seven children during my life time...3 down , 4 more to go!!!

Fun

First time

If I had to complain about anything, it would be the lack of life jackets for those who are in the boat. I would recommend this company to anyone planning a trip to Hawaii or looking to parasail.

my experience was a little unnerving, as I knew what not todo, but wasn't sure what TO DO, couldn't relax for fear of doing wrong thing....More specifics on how one can lean, turn or shift weight, hand position on straps...would be helpful, but perhaps I'll venture To try again.....

Amazing!
Reviewed by: Tina E., 2011/09/19As a first time parasailer, I thought it was AMAZING! I would totally go again and recommend that others go too. Hawaii Parasailing is awesome! The boat crew (Captain Jason and, darn it, I don't remember his name) and the shuttle driver were superb!!! They made everyone on the outing feel special and happy. As "bigger" girls, we were thrilled to get to ride together. I have to say that the office staff has something to be desired though. The girls were rude and condesending. I did not like dealing with them. But since we didn't have to deal with them too much it did not take away from the overall experience.

A must-do activity
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2011/07/06This was a repeat activity for us so obviously we like it before. It is surprisingly peaceful once you are up in the air and the views are spectacular. I like to stick my arms out a la Superman; I figure this is the closest I'll ever get to feeling like I'm flying. The only negative is my wife didn't care for it the last time, so she just went as an observer (rides in the boat but doesn't parasail). She loves the boat ride so that works for her, but the crew doesn't let anyone go up solo so if you don't have a partner, you end up going up with some stranger. The crew is good at what they do and are very safety conscious.

Wonderful
Reviewed by: Bev, 2011/01/09My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the parasailing. It was a tremendously relaxing feeling for both of us. We took the 1000 ft. line and would do it again. Captain Duncan and crewman Kevin were both jovial and attentive to detail. Felt safe at all times.
I highly recommend buying the pictures.

Awesome ride! Very enjoyable
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2007/08/22This experience was sooo much fun. Our guides dipped us in the water and also slid us across the water which was really cool. The staff was excellent, but I only wish they let us go up higher and for longer because we were only up in the air for about 5 min. But other than that, it was really fun and highly recommended.
