Amazing excursion!

We booked this excursion without any of us having done this before and we all said we’d go back and do it again if we could! First off, the booking information and communication emails and texts were very helpful for day of event reminders. The instructions in the emails and texts were pretty detailed and easy to follow along. Once we arrive at the harbor, check in process and safety guide getting on to the boat was seamless and even allowed our large party that all booked separately to group up and grab a table together. Lunch was promptly served(we took the afternoon tour) and we took off for the sandbar. We booked the all-inclusive activities and I definitely recommend it for those who are more active/thrill seekers! There are safety guidelines that the crew goes over with you in detail to ensure safety for all passengers and I really appreciated that since our group had some hesitant or nervous to do the water activities. While we did have an 8month old infant with us and brought her own life vest, the crew came by to offer all infants and children life vests during their safety checks. We did all the inclusive activities offered and was still able to relax in the sandbar water and climb up to the floating lounge to hang out before we headed back to the harbor. The live music was phenomenal(I’m biased as a hula dancer maybe) and my group and I even got up to perform a hula for the other passengers and crew. The crew was friendly, informative, and playful which are all things that I hope for on fun excursions!

Great day!

Great fun, great singing, great crew.
Reviewed by: Trubg, 2024/01/27Even though the water was a bit chilly we had a lot of fun. The singing was sensational on the way there. We saw a bunch of big fish after walking a hundred steps, there were a lot more colorful ones near the corals. After snorkeling , we did a bit of kayaking as well, the sun came out and we warmed up. Tip: look up low tide times a few days ahead and book appropriate sessions, we didn’t do that so the sandbar was not visible.

Good morning

It got a little crowded in the area they confine you too. I also did not like wearing the life preserver while snorkeling. I could have spent the whole morning on the reef, but they only let you visit half.

Sandbar trip

Fun experience
Reviewed by: DVP, 2023/12/30Well organized tour. Tour has enough ppl to watch the full load of the onboard and plenty of equipments for each activity. They kept an close eye on everyone to assure our safety. Going with kids, to us, its a plus. I witnessed others who are seniorities and were given immediate assistance when needed. Great music band, good vocal and songs. Every team member of the tour is very friendly. I will definitely book with them next time I go to snorkeling.

Fun trip to Sandbar!!
Reviewed by: Sue, 2023/12/30This tour was great! The boat was clean and roomy. Nice tables that had shelf underneath to keep your items dry. Multiple bathrooms and changing facilities. Lunch was nice croissant lunch meat sandwhich with chips and fruit. Activities were very organized and good explanations for snorkeling, kayaks and SUP. The music was good fun and appropriate. Plenty of equipment for snorkel footballl volleyball etc The crew was awesome, helpful and personable. There was plenty of crew and life guards. They had everything that would allow you to have a fun filled day! I definitely would recommend and would book this in the future!

Amazing 1st experience with snorkeling

Fabulous day out
Reviewed by: Cathy , 2023/12/09It was not the best weather day… raining but it cleared when we boarded the boat to Kaneohe bay. The trip was pleasant with warm welcoming, music, and a light but satisfying breakfast. The crew were amazing. So helpful and very knowledgeable and safety conscientious.
The snorkeling was beyond our expectations and the day out on the sandbar was such fun with the crew being extremely attentive to our needs.
We had an amazing day . Can’t wait to do it again

Fantastic tour! Will definitely come back when we visit Oahu again!
Reviewed by: Chenwei, 2023/12/01This tour is impressive. We two adults and one kid (5 years old) really enjoyed the tour. There are roughly 3 hours from leaving and back to the wharf, including the round trips (20 minutes), preparation and cleaning (20 minutes), and the total number at Sand bar for playing is about 2 hours 20 minutes, which is enough for playing kayak, paddle board, snookering, volleyball, and relaxing.
The place itself is safe. KBOS assigned one or two staffs for each kind of activity, and they provide help for whoever needs it. The water depth was 3~4 ft when we were there, and the staff said the water depth is 2~5 ft depending on the tides. Little kids friendly as long as they are not sacred of swimming.
Simple lunch and drink were provided. Live music on the boat. The staffs are really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
We self drive from Waikiki, which took us about 40 minutes before the lunch time. There are a lot of parking spots.
We will come back when we visit Oahu again.

Sandbar was the best experience we had in Hawaii!!

The reservation was easy and the staffs/crews on the boat were very friendly. They delivered the information and guideline very well and were willing to help. Kayaking was so fun and relaxing and snorkeling was amazing(I can't swim but the life vest they provided helped me to explore the ocean). We saw more fish than we did at Hanauma Bay. I definitely recommend this activity to everyone who visits Oahu. Next time I go, I would bring a jacket or an extra beach towel with me because I felt a little cold on the way back(They give you hot tea to help).

Disappointing
Reviewed by: Danielle, 2023/11/19The staff was very friendly. However, the price of the ticket did NOT match the value of the experience.
The inside of the boat is in poor condition (holes in the ceiling tiles, visible mold, peeling paint, an overall unpleasant smell, etc.) The life jackets are old and mildewy, and the snorkeling gear should probably be upgraded.
The lunch (included in the ticket price, not free) consisted of a sandwich with 1 slice of dollar store quality lunch meat cut in half (it was supposed to be turkey but looked like bologna), pineapple slices, a few pieces of lettuce as salad, and an optional bag of chips. Your beverage options were either powder juice mix or water. Hot tea was served at the end.
For those expecting a bar when looking at the ticket price, NO alcohol is served. This seemed out of the ordinary compared to the other boat excursions I’ve been on, and the other guests were also surprised by this.
The live music was great until they started playing Christmas songs that could have passed for lullabies halfway into the trip. People were literally falling asleep. Since the weather wasn’t great (*not anyone’s fault*), it would’ve been nice if they played more upbeat tunes. Perhaps the majority of our ticket price goes to the live music fee since everything else was extremely lacking.
All the reviews I read and pictures I viewed before booking were great, and now they seem dishonest/misleading. Due to the nature of the issues I found (boat conditions, equipment conditions, and quality of food), I do not think my experience is unique or this was an “off” day.
Again, the staff was very friendly, and I do NOT place any blame on them. However, their friendless did not make up for the deficiencies I explained above.
Aloha Danielle, we are sorry that you didn't enjoy our tour. We shared your feedback with our crews, and we will discuss about better way to our customer satisfied (music, lunch and equipment etc.). They will make an effort to meet high expectations. When we check the boat, we couldn't find any wholes in ceiling tile. Overall good but injuries were not fun

But I would have to say , they didn’t do good for the safety part… I got injured from the snorkeling because it was my first time ever, I definitely lacked of knowledge about how to snorkel safely, and no one was giving instructions about how to stay safe in the ocean. I got injured from accidentally hitting the coral, I never know the coral can be that close to people (I never had ocean experience). I also was not the only person that was injured, another strong man, he was attacked by jellyfish. Hopefully they can do better for the safety instructions.

Unique experience, great service, memorable day!!!
Reviewed by: Kate, 2023/11/06Having been to a few islands and done various activities, the Kaneohe Sandbar was a unique experience. Standing in the bay very far from shore, being able to look at the windward coast while SUP'ing and snorkeling and generally hanging out was so memorable. On top of that, the guides were so great and friendly, the donut and tang tasty treats and music from live performers was an unreal touch.
This was a great way to get exposure to a bunch of activities without exhausting yourself getting out to the sandbar on a rented kayak. Being able to BYOB and not worry about how that will affect your trip back to the dock was a super bonus!
NOTE: the snorkeling on the sandbar is super limited since the water is only waist-deep. Great for beginners and kiddos, but if you want a more snorkel focused tour, search around for that.

There was a party atmosphere with the band playing on the boat on the way there and back.
The staff were friendly, helpful and relaxed but still professional
The activities were good fun.

Awesome Experience…. A must do

We arraigned for the shuttle to pick us up at our hotel which I highly recommend to add that to package because you are tired after the experience…. The staff was awesome and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The musicians were fantastic, beautiful voices and very funny. I highly recommend the higher package that includes the banana boat ride…. It’s so worth it

Reviewed by: Lalo, 2023/11/05The morning tour on 11/3 couldn't have been better. The small deli/store has adult beverages, some limited hot items and small snacks but they do serve food. The pancakes where delicious but the egg spam and cheese breakfast sando was perfect. When we returned as the afternoon tour was starting the deli/store switched over to more lunch items like fried chicken which looked pretty good.
The tour was great! The crew was on point and the entertainment brought it to another level. Couple bathrooms and they served donuts, juice and water to start. The activities were a highlight. It's my first time out at the sandbar and just hanging in the water was the best. I'm 6ft and it was up to my neck at its highest, atleast where I ventured to. The dock was a good place to get some time off the water if not in the boat. Kayaking and sup were awesome. Snorkeling is a must do with Brudahh guy! The whole crew was a blast. The ke'aloha singers are worth the price alone.
Bring a cooler with whatever snacks/picnic food/drinks and adult beverages. Grab a towel and some sunscreen and you're going to have a great time! But forsure I'll be back!
Sidenote: we got there at 8am for our checkin at 845 and parking was sparse. I'm not sure where everyone else ended up but it didn't seem like a huge inconvenience wherever they parked. Just don't park where you aren't supposed to like the 2hr spots and the boat trailer spots.
