Very beautiful valley.

Posted on: 2018/03/10

We enjoyed going down into the valley with a guide. Our guide was very informative. He showed us different plants and explained how they cooked things. The wild horses and scenery were beautiful. The van had open windows and was comfortable,
The place our tour dropped us off to get in the 4x4 van was nice but only one bathroom. Not much food selection. We were picked up at 6:30 so we didn't have time for breakfast or coffee.. across the road was a very messy run down residents, With barking dogs....I just thought this valley is so sacred to the locals. Some things were very messy with garbage.
More history about the ancestors would have been appreciated but it was very pretty. Douglas was very nice.
We then went on to the waterfalls which we had seen before but it was beautiful and interesting.
The tour said stopping at Waimea for Hawaiian donuts but we did not do that. It was a long day but interesting. The van was comfortable with air conditioning.
