What a top-tier luau in a beautiful setting at Waimea Valley! Highly recommended

Almost walked out as show was late starting. But after show started it was great

I’ve been to many luaus and this one was great. The warrior stories and performance was stunning. The food and drinks were good and authentic. The openness of the venue and seating arrangements were appreciated.

Only... more aspect that was a bit disappointing was the bus/shuttle that took us to the luau: 1) there were a lot of sick people on the bus coughing and sneezing, it would have been mindful to ask they were a mask or include instructions if sick not to take the shuttle 2) the shuttle stayed at the pickup locations for a long time, longer than they should have… this delayed our bus ride. Stick to the rules and please don’t delay other guests. 3) traffic and freeway accidents can’t be prevented or predicted, but if we left the bus stops on time it could have given us more time for pre luau activities.

It was a fun experience! The food was great, desserts are even phenomenal. My favorite was the salad and the roasted pork. The pineapple is so sweet! I enjoyed the Haupia. It reminds me of the version we have back in my ... morehome country. The only thing off with the entire experience was I felt we were left out and not asked how we are doing because we were a group of 2. One experience also was when we were going to the theatre for the show. We were following a group to tourist and the lady who was holding the cord closed it when the last tourist came in and followed them. Leaving us wondering where to go. If we are not allowed to go there. I get it they might have paid more for the vip experience but we were left there wondering where to go next. I admit I felt some type of way being left out again. The young girl who took pictures earlier told us where to go. Even after that we have to figure out the way to the mezzanine. I still gave 5 stars because I get it, people paid for vip services but sure hope that they paid attention as well to people who are in a budget. You know being the aloha spirit and all. Overall fun experience!
