I participated in a 3-star couple cruise for a family trip. I enjoyed the atmosphere and cultural experience of the lunch cruise on the day we arrived in Hawaii, so I had high expectations for the dinner cruise on January 1st. The deliciousness of the lobster and steak, the enjoyment of the show, and the wonderful night view of Honolulu made for a luxurious experience.

Having made all the arrangements online, I was a bit nervous because this was my wife's 50th birthday celebration and we had 23 family members in attendance. The boat, food, service and ambiance were beyond my expectations! I would highly recommend this Sunset Dinner Cruise.

Had a great show and good food.

I had two people which have trouble walking. The trek from the bus drop off, through the mall, to the ship was a bit too long. Also, I had a guest who is very particular about how his meat is cooked and they did not even ask how you want your steak done. Could improve on those two points for the benefit of us old folks!

I signed up for the Memorial Photo Cinderella Package Plan along with a set deal.

At first, I wasn't planning to sign up, but since my desired plan for the Memorial Photo Cinderella Package didn't work out, I opted for this great set plan.

I had read experiences from others, so I didn't have high expectations, but it turned out to be quite fun (maybe it was good that I didn't expect much). He was very satisfied (*^_^*).

The floor I was on had only Japanese people, but I was able to make friends with the couple next to me, and the staff were entertaining (the staff were foreigners but spoke Japanese fluently).

This was my first time in Hawaii, and since it was our honeymoon, we decided to indulge a bit and booked the three-star couple's plan. Before the ship set sail, they had a hula dance performance in front of the ship, creating a wonderful atmosphere right from the start. Once we were seated, we were welcomed with a photo opportunity and champagne, which really elevated the mood. Since it was November, the sun set shortly after we departed, and the sunset was incredibly beautiful and romantic.

The meal started with appetizers (unlimited crackers, cheese, and fruits), followed by a whole lobster as the main dish! (Men can earn points by cracking the lobster shell for their partner.) There was also steak and dessert, and the portion sizes were just right—not too much. Each person received tickets for two drinks, so with the initial champagne, there was more than enough to drink.

In addition to the meal, there were singing and dancing performances, making for a very enjoyable time. During the hula dance performance, a local woman jumped in to show off her hula skills, which was quite entertaining. She was wearing a flashy aloha shirt, so I think she was ready to dance from the start. The couple's plan secures a window-side table just for the two of you (the regular plan has shared round tables for five or six people), so I highly recommend the couple's plan for couples!

最初のシャンパンもあるので十分すぎるほど飲めます。食事だけでなく歌や踊りのパフォーマンスもありとても楽しい時間を過ごせました。フラダンスの曲の演奏中に一般のおばちゃんが乱入してフラダンスを披露していたのがとてもウケましたおばちゃんは派手なアロハシャツを着ていたので最初から踊る気満々だったのだと思いました。カップルプランは窓際の席で二人だけの席を確保してくれるので（通常プランは丸テーブルに５，６人の相席でした）カップルは絶対にカップルプランがおすすめです！

I read many experiences here and found them very helpful!

First of all, it was great that we chose the plan without transportation and arrived early, allowing our group of six to sit by the window. We were able to toast before the larger groups arrived and go get cheese and fruits.

I was torn between giving it one star or three, but after experiencing it, I’m glad I chose three stars! The food was delicious, and the lobster was impressive, which everyone enjoyed.

The sunset viewed from the boat was truly beautiful, and the night view of Waikiki from the boat was just as lovely!!! The live music added to the atmosphere.

On the way back, we were able to call a six-person taxi from the taxi stand, and it cost about $15 to return to the Pacific Beach Hotel in one vehicle.

I am very satisfied!!!

We participated as a family of seven, including my spouse, our three children, and my parents. It was my parents' first time in Hawaii, and they were moved to tears by this activity, especially since it was our last day. I think this is the perfect activity for creating wonderful memories! My fiancée took me to the 5-Star on our last evening in Hawaii and it was the perfect end to a wonderful vacation. From the moment the limo picked us up from the hotel to the time we were dropped off, the customer service was INCREDIBLE. I am so glad that he decided to book the 5-Star since the other decks looked pretty crowded and definitely not as intimate as the Super Nova Deck.

We got the Couple's Plan upgrade and we got window seating, a bottle of champagne and this great photo of us on this pretty leather cover. The maître d' and the waiters provided incredible service and the whole atmosphere was very upscale and refined.

The dinner was very scrumptious and I loved how there were many different dishes served throughout the evening. Also, I had been on other dinner cruises where they bombard you with annoyingly LOUD touristy Hawaiian music, but with the 5-Star, it was soothing jazz and I LOVED IT!

This is the PERFECT romantic dinner cruise!!!

I participated with my mother and husband on September 16, 2007. I was worried because I had read in past experiences that the meeting place was hard to find, but I found it right away.

I've been to Hawaii quite a few times, but it was my first time seeing Waikiki from the ocean, and it was very refreshing and truly beautiful. The main sunset was also wonderful, and it was a moment where I could forget the busy days in Japan.

On that day, there were only about 12 guests in total, including the five groups, and we were the only three Japanese people, which made it feel relaxed and homey, which was even better.

The conversations with the crew and other passengers, as well as the simple orientation that takes place right after boarding (like how to handle a situation if you fall into the sea and introductions of the crew), are all in English, so it might be a bit tough for those who can't speak at all.

行われる簡単なオリエンテーション

We went on our honeymoon. I thought it was wonderful that we could see fireworks from the ship, so I made a reservation. However, we were very hungry as soon as we got on the ship and started eating a lot of spring rolls, and about 15 minutes after departure, my husband started to feel seasick... What was supposed to be a lovely fireworks cruise turned into me taking care of him as he felt unwell and cold. For those who are going, I recommend bringing seasickness medication and a jacket! With those, I believe it will definitely become a wonderful memory.

I participated in the Three Star tour. This was my second time on the Star of Honolulu, and it was so good that I wanted to say, "As expected!" The staff training was excellent, and it was a very enjoyable dining experience that made me think, "I'm glad I came to Hawaii!"

We chose the plan without transportation and arrived early by trolley from the hotel. This was lucky because seating was on a first-come, first-served basis. Of course, we got the best seats! For those with plenty of time, I recommend the plan without transportation.

There’s no experience quite like sailing on the dark waters of Oahu after sunset! I took your advice and brought a jacket. That was a great decision! At first, it was so warm that I thought I wouldn’t need it, but it got cold at night. For adult couples, it’s lovely to chat on the slowly moving boat. There was quite a bit of time before the fireworks, so I found myself eagerly waiting… Before the fireworks, they turned off the boat's lights, which felt quite mysterious. It was surprising how hard it was to see other boats, almost like Captain Jack Sparrow had appeared! The crew was friendly. The netting was scarier than I expected, so no one really wanted to go on it… but once you’re on, it feels amazing! I was careful not to lose my flip-flops, but it was definitely worth it to sit down! Lying back and relaxing, my husband seemed satisfied while enjoying a drink and smoking a cigarette. The fireworks were beautiful too! And the moment they unfurled the sails was incredibly cool!

I have taken several sunset dinner cruises in the past, but I was getting a bit bored with the early dinners and the lively hula and live performances. However, I couldn't miss the tradition of watching the sunset from the sea on the last day, so I found this activity while searching. As mentioned in the reviews, besides our family, there was only one other couple from Japan.

The light snacks served for dinner were first come, first served, including wrap rolls, small Vietnamese spring rolls, and pound cake for dessert. However, since there was an unlimited amount relative to the number of people, our family, who wasn't very hungry, leisurely enjoyed the scenery and ended up missing out, getting only one piece of wrap roll each. However, we were all very satisfied with this cruise, which allowed us to directly feel the Hawaiian breeze on the yacht's deck, rather than eating a not-so-tasty lobster and steak dinner on a cruise. Since it was Friday night, we were also able to see the regular Hilton fireworks from the sea. The crew was all friendly and it was wonderful. I recommend this for Hawaii repeaters. We boarded on August 31, but it gets chilly at night, so a light jacket is necessary. Next time, I want to enjoy a daytime sailing.

It was our first family trip to Hawaii, and this cruise was a lot of fun. The meals were generous, including a whole lobster, which is something you can't easily find in Japan. The seasoning was a bit strong at times, but overall it was delicious. We were seated by the window, so we were very lucky to enjoy views of Waikiki Beach and the sunset from our seats. The kids were also very satisfied.

The day after our wedding in Hawaii, we participated in the Three Star Couple Plan. The ship was much larger than I imagined, and there were quite a few people on board.

To be honest, I didn't think the food was very good. The drinks (like cocktails) also seemed to be a level lower compared to others. However, the pleasant breeze and beautiful sunset make it a recommendation for couples. (On that day, there were four newlywed couples on the third floor.)

Onboard, you can enjoy live music and a Polynesian show. It was quite lively and fun.

The clear blue sky and intense sunlight made for a refreshing experience as the catamaran dynamically raced through the waters of Hawaii! The high speed was incomparable to a large ship's dinner cruise, and we sped through the high waves without a care! It's amazing that we're moving just with the sails!

Viewing Waikiki Beach from the sea and seeing Diamond Head from the back offered new discoveries. I got to experience the differently shaped Diamond Head as well.

The captain and crew were quite handsome! They didn't pay much attention to the guests, but it felt refreshingly foreign. There were only about two groups of Japanese guests, with mostly Westerners on board.

For those who are sensitive to the boat, I think it's best to enjoy the sea on the deck first, avoiding the sun and not eating beforehand, and then enjoy drinks after getting used to it.

A big wave suddenly hit us, soaking us from head to toe, but I was fine since I was wearing quick-drying clothes.

In the second half, we were thrilled to encounter a pod of dolphins. It's incredible how they swim alongside the boat! I participated in a tour where I swam with dolphins in the sea, but it was too fast to see them well. The catamaran was so fast that the dolphins desperately kept up with us, almost playing with us. I had a blast with a Latin family. I want to ride again!

On the way back, we had a leisurely shopping and dining experience at the Ward Center right in front of the port, making for a fulfilling day.

ワイキキビーチを海から眺め、ダイヤモンドヘッドを裏側から見ると新たな発見。形の違うダイヤモンドヘッドも体験できました。
キャプテンもクルー達も男前！お客をろくに構ってくれないけど結構サッパリした感じで外国って感じで良かった。お客さんも日本人は２組くらいで殆んど欧米かって感じ。
ただ船に弱い人は、日差しを避けて日陰にいたり、食事を先にとったりしないで、まずは甲板で海を楽しんで、馴れた後に飲物を楽しんだりすればいいと思いました。
大きな波が突然来て頭から被っちゃいましたが、乾きやすい服装だったのでＯＫでした。
後半にイルカの群れに逢えて感動。イルカってあんなに船に並走するんですね。イルカと海の中で一緒に泳ぐツアーにも参加したけど速くてよく見れなかった。その点カタマラン号はすごく速いから、イルカも必死でついて来るって言うか、じゃれてきた。ラテン系の家族と一緒に大はしゃぎでした。また乗りたいです。
帰りは、ポートの目の前のワードセンターでゆっくり買い物して食事もできるので、充実した一日になりました。
