I went with high expectations for the scenery and the show, but to be honest, I didn't have much hope for the food. However, the lobster was surprisingly delicious, and the four of us dug in! I was very satisfied with that lobster!!! We went as two couples, and since we had signed up for the couple's plan, a photographer took a commemorative photo for us, which we received in a lovely album from Star of Honolulu on our way out. I was really touched. With the couple's plan, we also got a window-side seat, which was great! The show was lively, so I found it more enjoyable with friends rather than just the two of us. I definitely want to go again!

On the last day in Hawaii, I participated in a three-star experience. The welcome champagne, lobster, and steak were all delicious. Since the location is away from the waiting area, I recommend a plan that includes transportation. Also, I think it's better to add $20 for a couple's seat. You can enjoy a bottle of champagne and sit by the window with a photo included, so I highly recommend it.

We went on the sunset dinner cruise in June 2007 and had a great time! All of the staff was wonderful and very friendly. The dinner was good- nice portions ( we did NOT go home hungry), and the music and show was a blast! The top deck was perfect for taking sunset pictures of Diamond Head. We did the couple's plan and recommend it to any couple deciding on this package. This ended up being a really fun night for the both of us and would highly recommend it to anyone going to Oahu!

You can enjoy the scenery, savor the food, and watch the show. The meal consists of appetizers served buffet-style, while the rest is served to you, allowing you to enjoy a hotel-like experience. Since I’m not a fan of steak, I requested fish dishes in advance, and they changed it for me without any issues. The portions are substantial, and if you leave food behind, they check in with you, asking, "Is it not to your taste?" which made me feel well taken care of. Each table has a dedicated staff member who engages with you. Time flew by in no time. The final group train event was the best! I highly recommend it.

We participated in the 3-star cruise with my family of four, including my parents. Although we didn't get a window seat, we still enjoyed the inner seats. The windows were large, so we could see outside well, and when we wanted a better view, we went out to the deck. (In fact, some people mentioned that the window seats could get hot due to the afternoon sun depending on the direction.) I, who am not fond of boats, found it manageable since there was little rocking.

We ordered various tropical cocktails, but the Lava Flow was a bit strong. I remember the Blue Hawaii being refreshingly delicious. My mother, who can't have alcohol, was happy to have a non-alcoholic version made for her.

The boat itself went around in circles and anchored while we waited for the sunset, but there were shows and dance times on board, so we never felt bored. I think for a honeymoon, a quieter 5-star experience would be preferable.

I participated with my colleagues from the company. Due to budget constraints, we opted for the regular star seating instead of the three-star option. I couldn't see much of the excitement of the show because I was enjoying the view from the deck during the performance, but my colleagues who watched the show seemed satisfied. As for the food, I honestly thought it was just average. Since it wasn't fully booked, we were able to sit at a table meant for six with only five people, which was enjoyable. I believe about 80% of the guests were Japanese. While Japanese is spoken, I think having some English conversation skills would enhance the experience. The star seating is on the first deck, while the three-star seating is on the second deck, but since everyone can access the top deck, those who prioritize the view over the meal might find the star seating just fine. The photos taken for each group are quite expensive, but they come in a special album and make for great memories. Overall, I would recommend it.

It was my mom's birthday and we went with the family ! What a great time we had and the food was just fantastic. A lot of the dinner cruises don't seem to put to much thought and effort in the cuisine, but whoever came up with the menu for the Pacific Star obviously knew what they were doing. The nice thing was how relaxing and quiet it was. My sister walked around the boat and noticed how loud the hula show was, and I am glad that we chose the Pacific Star. The guitar player was top-notch and it was a nice not having to yell at each other to hear everyone over the music.

This was probably one the best hi-lights of our trip.It was a very pleasant surprise,as we had no idea what to expect.The only thing wrong was that the sun didn't co-operate for us .But all in all it was a very pleasant experience.I will do this again if we ever make it back there.

a friend of mine who went to hawaii last spring break told me about the pacific star and i am so glad that she did. the food is sooooo good and it is awesome being in the private lounge since i went around the boat and saw the other decks and they were totally crowded. we had our own private restroom and even a nice little deck area too. and only $5 for martinis! can't go wrong!

I often come to Hawaii and have been on pretty much every dinner cruise on almost every island. The Star of Honolulu is a vessel that I often frequent when I am here in the islands since it has always provided my husband and I with a wonderful evening. The Pacific Star has become our new favorite with its initimate lounge setting, quiet atmosphere, delicious Pacific Rim cuisine and a chocolate fondue-like dessert that is to tasty for words. I personally do not like the loud and rowdy hula shows, so the Pacific Star is definitely my cruise of choice!

My friends and I have experienced the beautiful Star of Honolulu dinner cruise and it was the most memorable event ever. To begin the night was a graceful performance of the hula performers who greeted us aboard. We enjoyed songs of a live band and our favorite cocktails as we were seated to our table. The interior of the boat was elegantly decorated with special lighting and table settings, perfect for setting the mood of any occasion. As the large boat cruised smoothly through the waters of Oahu, my friends and I were able to capture beautiful photos together on the observation deck. With the sea surrounding us, we watched the beautiful sunset. Our dinner was immediately brought to our table with excellent service. We had an excellent steak and all you can eat crab dinner course. However, the highlight was when everyone sang "YMCA" together and formed a train with strangers, creating a memorable moment that deeply resonated with my whole family. It turned out to be a very enjoyable final dinner of our Hawaii trip.

This was my seventh trip to Hawaii, but this time I was accompanied by my mother, who was visiting for the first time, and my sister's family with kids. I thought it would be the usual pattern and had avoided the sunset dinner cruise until now, but I finally participated. Wow, it was impressive! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The friendly staff, the entertainment, and the delicious food were all highlights. The weather was clear, but unfortunately, clouds covered the sunset, so I couldn't see the sun go down. However, there was so much to do, like getting close to the yacht, that I forgot about that. It was a rich three-hour tour that felt like a great deal. From the fourth deck, the panoramic view of Waikiki's night scenery and the Pacific Ocean was incredibly liberating. By the way, there was a smoking area on the fourth deck, which is great for smokers. I asked the staff to take a photo with me, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turned out. While it might not have the same atmosphere for those looking for a more intimate experience, I believe friendly couples will be more than satisfied. I highly recommend it to repeat visitors who, like me, have been avoiding the typical Hawaii experience.

ハワイは7回目になりますが、今回は初ハワイの母を同伴、妹夫婦子連れとの旅行だったので、お決まりのパターンのように思っていて今までは避けてきたサンセット・ディナークルーズに初参加してきました。いやぁ~侮れません。十分に楽しませていただきました。フレンドリーなスタッフの対応やエンターテイメントも見ごたえがあり、料理も大変おいしかったし。天気は晴れていたのですが、サンセットはちょうど雲がかかり沈む夕日はお目にかかれませんでしたが、ヨットと接近したりと、そんなことも忘れるくらいに次から次へと盛りだくさんで、大変内容の濃い３時間のツアーでお得感がありましたよ。4Fのデッキからはワイキキの夜景から太平洋までパノラマで見渡せすごく開放感がありました。ちなみに4Fでは喫煙スペースもありましたから愛煙家の方もグッドです。スタッフにお願いして一緒に写真も撮っていただいたのですが、出来上がりが楽しみです。ファミリーやグループはもちろんのこと、二人だけの世界を望んでおられる方にはちょっと雰囲気が違うかもしれませんが、フレンドリーに楽しめるカップルなら充分に満足できるはず。ベタベタハワイ･･･と思ってらっしゃる私と同じように避けておられるリピーターの方にも是非お勧めです。

My mother and I participated in the Three Star cruise. From before boarding, we were welcomed with hula dancing, which really lifted our spirits. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but the food, from appetizers to dessert, was all delicious. I ended up eating too much. The whole lobster was a first for me, and I boldly tore into it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the show as well. Our seats were great, right by the window facing the stage, and the jazz live performance created a wonderful atmosphere. My mother particularly enjoyed the jazz numbers, as they were all songs she knew. The finale, "YMCA," got almost everyone in the audience excited, and it was filled with experiences we wouldn't normally have, making it an unforgettable memory.

For birthdays or newlyweds, they celebrate in front of the stage, so I think participating would create wonderful memories.

If I go to Hawaii again, I definitely want to join this cruise again.

お誕生日や、新婚さんは、ステージ前でお祝いもしてくれるので、参加されるといい思い出ができると思います。

It was great to enjoy the food and drinks while watching Hawaiian dance up close. The expressions of the staff while they were dancing were particularly amusing! The food was quite delicious, and the staff's service was excellent. Lastly, the dance with almost all the participants was simply fun.

Also, the couple's plan is $40 for two people, which includes guaranteed seating for two, a commemorative photo at the table, and a bottle of champagne, so I thought it was quite a good deal.

We participated with four adults and a baby. We had prepared a cake for my mother's 60th birthday, but it wasn't as high quality as a Japanese cake, and since dessert was already cake, I thought it might have been unnecessary. For honeymooners and birthday celebrants, they come forward to celebrate together. It was a bit embarrassing, but I thought it would be better to enjoy it wholeheartedly. There weren't any facilities for the baby, like a nursing room or diaper changing area, but when I asked, they opened a room for us. The staff were very good at entertaining the baby, and even without proper facilities, we were able to spend our time comfortably. The meals were substantial and better than I expected. We also received two drink vouchers, so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about additional charges. They said they would respond to song requests for the stage, but it seemed that only the older generation knew Hawaiian songs. Although it was a three-star experience, I was pleasantly surprised to hear a bit of jazz and bossa nova. This cruise offered a unique experience that you can't have on land, and it became a memorable experience. I highly recommend it.

I boarded the ship on January 1st. Since I made a reservation through Alan instead of a tour booking, the check-in was smooth without any waiting. (The staff at the reception speaks fluent Japanese!)

I recommend the three-star couple plan. We were able to chat and enjoy the scenery without worrying about those around us. Plus, it comes with a bottle of champagne.

The food included a whole lobster, steak, salad, cheese, and it was more than enough for me as a woman. However, having been on a similar cruise in Guam, I found the entertainment to be average.

I recommend this for those who want to fully enjoy the travel atmosphere and for those considering a place where it's okay for children to be loud.

Two days ago, my family of three participated in the Three Star cruise.

Since the sunset time in December was right after departure, it was mostly a night view cruise, but the sunset we saw from the observation deck and the night view of Waikiki were truly beautiful, unlike anything I had ever seen before.

I had been on a lunch cruise before, but this was my first dinner cruise. Since I had ten guests attending my local wedding, I chose this experience to give them a taste of Hawaii. The weather was great, and the cruise began while we admired a sunset in colors we had never seen before. I couldn't help but take several photos. The food was GOOD!! Both kids and adults were satisfied, and the adult group enjoyed quite a bit of alcohol.
