I participated on March 9. While I didn't see any spectacular jumps from the whales, I was able to catch glimpses of their backs and tails. I originally joined with the mindset of "It would be nice to enjoy the view of Waikiki from the ocean while also seeing some whales," so I was satisfied to see the beautiful scenery from offshore and get a close look at the whales. It was also great to see Diamond Head from a direction I had never seen before.

I chose a plan without meals, but since the boarding time wasn't very long, it felt like a waste to spend time eating, so I think it was a good choice. The price with transportation included is very reasonable, and I was glad to make good use of my morning. I recommend bringing binoculars.

ダイヤモンドヘッドも見た事のない方向から見ることができてよかったです。
食事なしのプランを選びましたが、乗船時間があまり長くはなく食事をしている時間はもったいないような気がしますので、これでよかったのではないかと思います。
送迎付きでこのお値段はとてもお得ですし、午前中の時間を有意義に使えたので参加してよかったです。
双眼鏡を持って行くことをお勧めします。

I booked a whale watching tour on the last day of March. The boat itself seemed to have little rocking, and it looked like those participating in wheelchairs were comfortable. There were plenty of observation spots on the deck, and the weather was nice, so I had high hopes, but unfortunately, we didn't encounter any whales. The guide even came to let us know that we could try again that afternoon or on another date, but I had to decline this time due to scheduling constraints. I hope to try again someday.

船自体は揺れも少なかったように思います。車椅子で参加されている方も快適にされているように見えました。
デッキでの観察場所も十分ありお天気も良かったので期待しましたが、残念ながらクジラには出会えませんでした。
ガイドの方がわざわざ同日午後や別日程で再チャレンジできることも伝えに来て下さったのですが、今回は日程に余裕がなく断念しました。いつか再チャレンジしてみたいと思います。

Spectacular Dinner Cruise

This dinner cruise was truly spectacular. We checked in and seemed to be upgraded from the roast beef dinner to the steak and crab dinner. Love it! We were seated at an intimate table for two on the side of the stage and were able to start eating while the rest of the guests were seated with efficiency. It didn't take long for us to be on our way and dinner was served. The steak was medium rare and delicious and the crab (if not a little cold) was wonderful. Entertainment was superb! We enjoyed the beautiful sunset and even spotted a few whales in the distance and enjoyed the Polynesian entertainment. We were able to stroll all decks and since the 2nd deck was not occupied enjoyed a quiet moment before returning to the dock. Enjoyed every minute.

At the end of March, it was unfortunately drizzling at the time of departure. I had given up on seeing the sunset.
However! Once we got offshore, the clouds cleared up, and we were able to see a beautiful sunset!!
Afterward, we filled up on delicious lobster and steak, and by the end of the show, everyone got up to dance and take pictures with the dancers, creating a lively atmosphere. I was impressed by how well the dancers engaged the crowd. I was completely satisfied both in heart and stomach☆
I also participated in the luau show at the Hilton, but I felt like I would want to join this one again.

3月末、出発時は生憎の小雨。サンセットは見れないだろうと諦めてました。
しかし！沖合に出ると雲が少なくなり、とても綺麗なサンセットをみることができました！！
そして美味しいロブスターとステーキで満腹になり、ショーの終盤にはみんな席を立って踊ったりダンサーと写真を撮ったりで、盛り上がりました。ダンサー達の盛り上げ方が上手いな〜と感心しました。心もお腹も大満足です☆
今回ヒルトンのルアウショーにも参加しましたが、こちらの方がまた参加したいと思えました。

I attended with my elderly mother. I was unsure about what to choose for the meal, but since I thought we wouldn't be able to eat that much, we opted for the buffet. It was a roast beef main buffet, and with desserts, coffee, and tea included, we were very satisfied. The view of Honolulu's cityscape and Diamond Head from the ocean was beautiful, but it was cloudy that day, and I regretted not being able to see the sunset. After we finished our meal, a Hawaiian show started. It wasn't a large-scale show, but it was impressive. My mother also enjoyed the scenery, the meal, and the show.

There were just too many people, and I couldn't relax because people kept bumping into my chair.

It says it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, but while I was waiting in line and serving myself, the food was being cleared away, and I couldn't eat. Since I wasn't sure if I could finish everything, it would be wiser to serve myself a larger portion at the beginning instead of taking a little bit at a time. Pineapple, orange, cake, and tea were available until the end, but it's a mistake to imagine it like a Japanese buffet. The food wasn't bad, but the roast beef was like rubber.

Although the food was lacking, I had a fun time enjoying the lively atmosphere of singing and dancing, beautiful sunsets, and watching wild whales. However, I really hope they improve the food and manage the crowd better so that we can relax.

とにかく人が多く、椅子に人がガツガツと当たってくるのでゆっくりできません。

食べ放題ビュッフェと書いてありますが、行列に並んで1回よそって食べている間に、料理が片づけられ食べられませんでした。
食べきれるかどうか分からないので、料理を少しずつよそったりすることはしないで、食べきれそうな量を最初によそってしまう方が賢明です。
パイナップルとオレンジとケーキ、お茶は最後まで出ていましたが、日本のビュッフェを想像するのは間違いです。
料理も不味くはないですが、ローストビーフはゴムのようでした。

料理はいまいちだけど、歌とダンスの楽しげな雰囲気、美しいサンセットや野生のクジラが見れて楽しい時間を過ごせました。

I was worried about seasickness and the possibility of falling into the sea while traveling with my almost 2-year-old and 6-year-old, but those worries were completely unfounded. At first, we only caught a glimpse of a dorsal fin, but before we knew it, we were treated to the spectacular sight of 3 or 4 whales diving one after another! Both the kids and the adults, including the captain, were thrilled. On the way back, we were also able to see dolphins.

One thing… I would have appreciated a bit more for breakfast. However, we returned to the hotel by late morning and were able to make very meaningful use of our day.

もうすぐ2歳児と6歳の子供連れで、船酔いの心配や万が一海に落ちたら！などの心配をしてたのですが、全く杞憂でした。
最初は背びれを少し目撃するだけでしたが、気付いたら3.4頭のクジラが次々豪快なダイブを見せてくれました！子供も大人も船長さん（笑）も大興奮でした。帰りにはイルカたちも見ることが出来ました。
あと、一つ…やはり朝食が…もう少しだけ何かあれば嬉しかったです。
ですが、お昼前にはホテルに戻り、とても有意義に1日を使うことが出来ました。

Our guide and marine biologist, Adam, was very knowledgeable about the whales and the area and explained everything we needed to know. The pod of baby whales we saw (5 of them) gave everyone a great show all the way back to the pier. I hope everyone that takes this cruise gets the same opportunity to see what we saw.

On the first day in Hawaii, we had planned a sunset dinner cruise. I thought it would be difficult to see the sunset due to the weather, but I was looking forward to enjoying the Hawaiian atmosphere. The welcome drink we received upon entering was nice, but the food took too long to arrive. Even though we were seated early, we ended up being among the last to receive our meals. We were already considering ordering additional drinks while still waiting for our food. When the food finally arrived, they asked if we wanted a refill on the crab, but since we hadn't even started eating yet, I thought we would do that later, and it never came back. The food was average. However, the Polynesian show was impressive and enjoyable. But the time for guests to dance was too long. I wanted to relax and watch the show with my family, so I felt a bit guilty about that. The view from the boat was wonderful, so I mostly enjoyed the scenery rather than watching the show. I think it would be a fun memory for friends to enjoy together, but it may not be suitable for large families.

料理はふつうでした。
その後ポリネシアンショウは迫力があり楽しめました。
しかし、客も混ざって踊る時間が長すぎる。家族でまったりショウをみたかったので、なんだか家族に申し訳ない気持ちになりました。
船からの景色はすばらしかったので、ほとんどショウは見ずに、景色を楽しみました。
友達とワイワイする分には楽しい思い出になると思いますが、大人数の家族には向かないと思いました。

The weather was nice and it was a pleasant cruise, but it wasn't as good for watching as I had hoped. A couple of whales spouted, but I think many people missed them because they were small. I guess it's just luck, isn't it? Diamond Head was clearly visible and the scenery was beautiful!

The content is in line with tourist prices. The food and the show are not particularly amazing. However, in Hawaii, where food prices are high for tourists, I have no complaints about the price and content. The guidance for customers and the serving process are well executed, so there is no stress, but the staff's response feels more like task execution than hospitality. I'm glad I participated, but I won't be returning. How about trying it once? If you don't have overly high expectations, I can recommend it as a normal experience.

I had a hard time finding delicious meals in the U.S., but the food was better than I had imagined. It might be important not to have too high expectations...
