There were no particularly noteworthy changes during my visit. As for the meals, they were surprisingly delicious, just like before. However, the all-you-can-eat crab was quite disappointing. Four years ago, the crab was grilled and paired well with the butter sauce, but this time it was just boiled (probably in that state when imported) and only reheated. It wasn't too dry, but the crab was very slim, and the crab crackers provided were too weak to use.

Other than that, we enjoyed the show, and my mother and I, both type B personalities, danced a lot with an American and a South American (who spoke Spanish) next to us. The surrounding Japanese and Koreans were watching us in amazement, but hey, you have to enjoy it!

I had a great experience last time, so this time I made a reservation for a three-star experience as a gift for my parents. Just like before, I reserved a couple's seat. They also take photos, which made my parents very happy. It is a bit pricey, but I recommend reserving the couple's seat. I went on the Sunset Cruise with Star of Honolulu. I secured a window seat for an additional $19, and it was a great success! Since our seats were near the entrance on the left side, we enjoyed cruising while looking at the city of Honolulu at first, and later, we got to enjoy the sunset. Being near the entrance also allowed us to see the show up close.

Sitting by the window, we received great photos, including a group photo of the four of us and a photo of the Honolulu ship for each couple. I thought it was a very worthwhile option.

I was a bit worried since I didn't choose the Three Star option for the meal, but we were able to enjoy a proper course meal. I highly recommend the course that comes with this option. Both my husband and our daughter and her husband were very satisfied.

I finally went on a sunset cruise that I had been curious about for a long time, and it was quite nice. A huge ship filled up quickly with people boarding one after another. I had read reviews saying it wouldn't be too rocky, but surprisingly, it was quite bumpy. It was fine when sitting, but I really felt the swaying when I stood up to walk around. Since alcohol is allowed, I think it's better for those who get seasick to limit their alcohol intake.

The food was decent. Dishes were served one after another as part of the course, but at some tables, the timing was a bit off compared to the neighboring table.

Most of the guests were on their honeymoon. I think it would be great for a honeymoon. However, if possible, I recommend paying extra to get a table for two. The table next to us had eight seats, and there were three couples in their sixties. It was a bit sad to see the newlyweds there. They seemed to be the target of the older ladies' attention (laughs).

So we took this cruise on our anniversary and it was a really cloudy and gray day. We didn't see any whales that day, but true to their word they issued a rain check. Luckily, we built in a flex day to our trip and were able to go again on Sunday. We saw three whales that day! It was an incredible experience. I definitely recommend this cruise!

As my return home approaches, I tend to feel a bit down, but I'm glad I signed up for the Three Star Sunset Dinner Show on my last day. Although it felt a bit extravagant, I was able to fully immerse myself in the extraordinary experience of my trip.

The food was delicious, featuring a whole lobster and tenderloin steak, and even though I had been craving Japanese food, the quality and content were excellent.

There were clouds on the horizon, so I couldn't see a vibrant sunset, but the sea and sky dyed in crimson were breathtaking. Even from a distance, I was thrilled to see the spouts and tails of whales. (ToT)/~~~

Towards the end, there was a moment when participants stood up to dance, encouraged by the staff, and I think it's best to enjoy it to the fullest. I had a great time dancing and even worked up a sweat while learning some moves. (^^ゞ

帰国が近付くとついついテンションが下がり気味になりますが、最終日にスリースター・サンセットディナーショーに申し込んで良かったです。少し贅沢かと思いつつも、非日常を求めた旅行にどっぷりひたることができました。
料理も丸ごと一匹のロブスター、テンダーロインステーキと日本食が恋しくなっていたにもかかわらず、美味しく頂くことができる質・内容でした。

The weather on the day I participated was wonderful, and I was able to see a very beautiful sunset. Additionally, they held a hula show on the boat after dinner, which made for a fun time.

However, I felt that the dinner menu was a bit lacking. It consisted of three items: salad, a main plate, and dessert, and while the portion size was not an issue...

The music on the boat was all live, and the hula performance was done right in front of us, so it was enjoyable.

This was my first time participating on my honeymoon. I was worried about getting seasick, but the rocking wasn't too bad, so it wasn't a problem. However, for those who are concerned, I think it's better to take motion sickness medication beforehand.
I changed my meal from crab to chicken and fish, but the chicken became tough quickly, so that was disappointing. It seems like the crab is all-you-can-eat. Overall, the food was just okay.
I was able to take some really beautiful sunset shots!
We had a guaranteed window-side couple's seat and received a photo as a gift at the end, which made for a wonderful memory.

I booked the Three Star Couple Plan. The weather was great, and I enjoyed the best cruise. I opted for no pick-up service and took the bus there and a taxi back, but I actually had a lot of fun on the bus for the first time. Since I arrived early by bus, I was able to sightsee at Aloha Tower, which became a wonderful memory.

The staff member, Ree, was very helpful. :)

This cruise was fantastic!! We saw so many whales. The captain did a wonderful job anticipating where they would reemerge. It was fantastic. We initially didn't order the lunch, but we added it, and I firmly recommend that you add it as well. The timing fits in perfectly within the trip and the kids loved eating the plentiful buffet. The activities are fun and there is plenty of room. My daughter made a lei for her mom to wear. Overall a great value and a tremendous time!

We chose this activity to wrap up our honeymoon. It turned out to be a romantic night. Since it's a large ship, the rocking wasn't too bothersome. I was worried about getting seasick, but I was fine. The food was delicious as well. I definitely want to recommend this to everyone. If you're going to book, I think Celebration would be the better choice.

We were able to see a mother and baby whale right after we set sail. I was surprised because I thought we wouldn't see them unless we went further offshore! Amidst the cheers of the people around us, we took lots of photos. Soon after, we spotted more whales... When we returned to the cabin, lunch was already prepared. The meal was just okay, I would say. We also got to participate in a ukulele class with the kids, which was a lot of fun.

We chose the course with crab and steak, but I thought I should have gone with the lobster and steak course since the crab was a bit difficult to eat. The floor of the ship changes depending on the course you choose. Additionally, the performances that take place on board also vary.

The air conditioning on the ship was too strong, and it was really cold, so I recommend that anyone going should definitely bring a long-sleeved jacket.

I think the staff's service was pretty good. In the end, the staff engaged the participants and made it really fun, creating wonderful memories.

On March 26, 2010, I participated with my family of five (myself, my wife, our 14-year-old son, 12-year-old daughter, and 9-year-old son). It was a tour with lunch included but no transportation provided. We took The Bus from Waikiki to Aloha Tower. At check-in, we received a green sticker to wear on our chests, and when we arrived at the ship's entrance, a handsome man who appeared to be the captain welcomed us. I asked if we could take a picture together, but he firmly declined.

There were different entrances for those with lunch included and those without (yellow badge). We, who had the lunch included, enjoyed unlimited welcome coffee (hot) and cold water on the first floor. While seated, a vendor came around selling paid juices, but about half of the guests did not order any. After an explanation in English and a brief one in Japanese, we set sail around noon. During the explanation, seasickness medication was offered for free to those who wanted it. It was mentioned that the lunch buffet would start around 12:30, followed by activities like lei-making and hula dancing on the same floor.

After that, we had free time and went to the observation area on the third or fourth floor. There were several summer beds on the fourth floor where you could lie down. We searched for whales at the front of the fourth floor. However, it wasn't easy to spot them, and before we knew it, it was already 12:30... I had heard that you can't see them up close on Oahu, so I didn't have high expectations, but I was able to see breaching at very close range!!

At first, I only saw a little bit of spouting and the back of the whale, but suddenly there was a big jump right next to the boat! It was like a scene from a TV show happening right in front of me, and the other guests were also very excited, cheering and clapping.

Even the staff who are on board every day said it's a rare occurrence to see it once every week or two, so I felt really lucky.

Of course, the whale watching was amazing, but the lunch buffet had everything from salads to meat, fruits, and desserts. We also enjoyed hula and ukulele lessons, and a cruise with a view of Waikiki and Diamond Head all at once. I think it’s a very worthwhile tour.

The announcements were in both English and Japanese, and all the staff were friendly, which made me very satisfied!

I definitely want to participate again! ♪

オアフ島ではそれほど近くでは見れないと聞いていたので、
あまり期待してませんでしたが、
至近距離でのブリーチングが見れました！！

最初は潮吹きや背中がちらっと見えたりする程度でしたが、
突然船のすぐ横で大きなジャンプ！
テレビで見るようなシーンが目の前で起こって、
他のお客さんたちも大興奮、拍手喝さいで盛り上がりました。

毎日乗船しているスタッフの人でも
1，2週間に1度見れるか見れないかの珍しいことだそうで、
すごくラッキーでした。

ホエールウォッチングはもちろん、
サラダからお肉、フルーツやデザートまでそろったランチビュッフェ、
フラやウクレレ、レイメイキングのレッスン、
ワイキキやダイヤモンドヘッドが一望できるクルージングがいっぺんに楽しめて
とってもお得なツアーだと思います。

アナウンスも英語と日本語の両方であったし、
スタッフの人たちもみんなフレンドリーで、大満足！

On March 21, I participated in the Star of Honolulu. This was my eighth trip to Hawaii, but it was my first time joining the Star of Honolulu. I had checked the food and attractions online in advance, so it met my expectations, and I felt it was worthwhile because my wife, who accompanied me, was happy. The food was three-star quality, but considering the cruise cost and the expenses for the dancers and staff, I thought the price was reasonable. I believe it's a good option tour to participate in at least once, and I would recommend it to others.

3月21日スターオブホノルルに参加しました。ハワイは8回目の旅行ですが今回初めてスターオブホノルルに参加しました。事前にインターネットで料理やアトラクションの内容を確認していたので期待通りの内容で特には感動した程でもなく同行した家内が喜んでくれた事で行ってよかったと思いました。料理は3スターでしたがクルーズ代やアトラクションのダンサーやスタッフの費用を考えれば妥当な料金だと思いました。一度は参加してもいいオプションツアーだと思うし又人にも勧められるコースだと思いました。

The staff was magnificient. The cruise along the sunset waters of Oahu was romantic and picture perfect. Great entertainment and food. We had the 3 star VIP with Dom Perignon. Wonderful night. Perfect for couples. And if you are thinking of Proposing, this itinery is perfect. Alo'ha!!!!

I participated in a dinner cruise on the Navatek last September, but the Star of Honolulu is definitely better. The food was good, the staff was attentive, and the show was fun, which made for a lively experience. My 4-year-old grandchild was also very excited and made a lot of noise. If I had to say something, the Navatek went behind Diamond Head, allowing us to enjoy some rare scenery. The Honolulu just zigzags near Waikiki, which feels a bit lacking. Also, the pickup by the large bus stops at multiple hotels, so it takes too long to reach the Aloha Tower boarding area, and kids end up sleeping on the bus. After playing hard during the day, they just won't wake up. Last time, my grandchild slept from the boarding until the end of the cruise. Parents should be aware of this.

昨年9月にノバテック号のディナークルーズに参加しましたが、断然スターオブホノルルの方が良いですよ。食事もよいし、スタッフの対応もよいしショーも楽しくて、大いに盛り上がりました。4歳の孫もテンション上がって大さわぎでした。欲を言えばノバテック号はダイヤモンドヘッドの裏まで行って珍しい風景を堪能できました。ホノルル号はワイキキの近くをただジグザグ航行しているだけなので物足らない感じがしますね。それと大型バスでのピックアップでホテルにいくつも寄るのでアロハタワーの乗船所に着くまでに時間が掛かりすぎで、子供はあれではバスの中で寝てしまいますね。昼間しっかり遊んでいるので寝たらもう起きませんよね。前回は孫はずーつと船の乗船から最後まで寝ていました。親御さんはこの点要注意。

My husband and I participated together. Right after we set sail, the wind felt nice and the scenery was beautiful, making me think how great it is to be on a boat. However, just when the food was being served, I started feeling seasick and had to rest by the window.

Then, I noticed something like a fountain out in the ocean! I thought, could it be a whale?! I ran over to my husband, who was eating alone, and called out, "There's a whale!" At first, it was just barely visible in the distance, but as we neared the end of our meal, a whale appeared right up close!! The crew also informed all the passengers that there was a whale right next to us, and everyone had a chance to take photos! I was so thrilled to see a whale up close.

After dinner, we enjoyed a hula performance, and at the end, there was a dance party for all the passengers!! That was the most fun part! We danced like we would around a campfire with people we didn't know, really soaking in the atmosphere that you can't experience in Japan!

The food felt a bit lacking for the price, but the show was of high quality, we got to see whales, and the party was enjoyable. I think it's a tour worth experiencing at least once! For those who get motion sickness, I strongly recommend taking anti-nausea medication!

旦那と二人で参加しました。出港してすぐは、風も気持ちよく、景色も素敵で船はいいな~って思ってたのですが、丁度料理が運ばれるころに船酔いで気持ち悪くなってしまい、窓側で休んでました。
そしたら、沖のほうになにやら噴水のようなものが！
まさか、くじら？！と思って、一人で料理を食べてる旦那のとこに走って「くじらがいる！」って呼びにいきました。
最初は沖のほうに見える程度だったのですが、料理も終盤になってきたころ、すごい間近にくじらが！！
船員さんたちも、乗客みんなに真横にくじらがいるって教えてくれてみんなでシャッターチャンス！
こんなに近くでくじらが見れるなんて感激でした。
ディナー後は、フラを楽しみ、最後は乗客全員でダンスパーティー！！
これが一番楽しかった~！！知らない方々とキャンプファイヤー時にやるようなダンスを踊って、日本じゃ楽しめないよな~っていう感じの雰囲気をしっかり味わってきました！
料理は値段の割には~って感じでしたが、ショーもレベルが高いし、くじらは見れるし、パーティは楽しいし、一度は乗って楽しんでみて！！って思うツアーでした！
乗り物酔いする方は~酔い止め服用を強くおすすめします！

I was able to fully enjoy the night in Honolulu with various activities.

However, I was bothered by a group of students behind me who were being loud for the purpose of picking up girls. I think the nearby elderly couple was also disturbed by them. I would have appreciated it if the seating could have been somewhat divided by purpose.

後ろにいたナンパ目的の学生のグループがうるさかったのが気になりました。近くの老夫婦のグループも迷惑していたと思います。席はある程度、目的別（？）で分けてもらえるとうれしかったです。

On the day of the reservation, there was a tsunami warning in Honolulu due to an earthquake in Chile. Transportation in the city was halted in preparation for the tsunami. I called the staff and was able to reschedule for the next day. I was relieved that there were staff members who spoke Japanese.

As for the whales, I was glad to see several of them. The kids were very excited, and I was satisfied with that. However, the lunch package was a bit chaotic; with the announcement of "There are whales!" everyone was too distracted to enjoy the meal, so it might be better to go without lunch.

Me and my family had a wonderful time on board the Star of Honolulu, despite my son being seasick due to the south swells! Charmaine, who was absolutely wonderful, gave my son some medicine and she was very attentive towards our needs and checking up on us to assure he was o.k.. Nana, another staff member also helped my 4 year old daughter make leis! We did see some whales and some dolphins. Food was good, service was great! Hopefully next time we do this, my son wont be so sick!

I have been to Hawaii several times, but this was my first time participating.
I was so moved to see a whale jump right in front of me!
I was able to see it multiple times, it was the best!
I also got to make a fresh flower lei, and it was really nice to wear it for photos at the party the next day.
The food was delicious too.

I want to participate again. Thank you!
