On the last day of our stay in Honolulu, my mother and I participated in this event. The weather was sunny, but it was a windy day.

We reserved a celebration seat by the window.

Once we entered the room, I was surprised to find there was quite a bit of space between the tables, making it easy to move around.

I think the food will be a matter of personal preference. The final dessert was just delicious.

The sunset was incredibly beautiful! However, there seemed to be events happening one after another inside the room. It felt like there was no announcement like "It's sunset time," so many people might have missed the view outside. (During the sunset, about three to four groups went outside, so I think it would be hard to see it while seated.)

For those who get seasick, be cautious. You should take motion sickness medication in advance. I did take some, but I still felt nauseous.

Nonetheless, I was moved by the beautiful sunset!

ただ、次々と部屋の中でイベントがあります。「サンセットですよー」的なアナウンスが無いようでしたので、外の景色を見てない人も多かったような気がします。
（サンセットのときは、部屋外に３組~４組が出てきていたので、着席しながらだと見れないと思います）

船に酔う人は、要注意です。
あらかじめ、酔い止めは飲んでおくべきです。
私は飲んでいましたが、酔ってしまいました。

でも、綺麗なサンセットが見れて感動しました！

The inside of the boat was too cold due to the air conditioning. I wished I had brought a jacket.

My first trip to Hawaii.
It was a six-day free trip for just the two of us, a couple over 70 years old.
On the fourth day, the sunset dinner cruise was simply wonderful. It was a cruise filled with fun music and atmosphere, featuring a real Hawaiian band and male and female dancers.
Outside the ship, there was not a single cloud in the blue sky, and with Hawaiian music as the background, the sunset was a brilliant red—an indescribable night.

Sitting by the window, I was jokingly asked by a youthful couple on their honeymoon from Kochi in Shikoku, "Is this your honeymoon?" This broke the initial awkwardness of our first meeting, and everything—food, music, dance, and the atmosphere on the ship—was great. It became the best memory of our time in Hawaii.

As for the optional night view drive after disembarking? It was just a tour to see the city lights of Hawaii from above, but the scenery was ordinary and lacked any excitement, so it was disappointing.

下船後のオプション？　ハワイ夜景ドライブ？は、ハワイの街の夜景を上から見るだけのツアーであったが　平凡ななんの感動湧かない景色で期待はずれであった。

Since you won't see them if you don't go during this season, I went for the second time. The waves were a bit high, so they didn't appear for a while, but they finally showed themselves. They were a bit farther away than last time, but it was great to feel the size of the whales again. I recommend it for those who can go during the whale season.

As soon as we sat down, the food was brought out, but the number of people in the room felt cramped... It was an all-you-can-eat crab, but it didn't feel like we could ask for more multiple times. The taste was questionable for the price?? However, the bread was delicious. I would have preferred to pay a bit more for a more elegant atmosphere to enjoy the meal leisurely.

Since we had children with us, we decided to join the Honolulu for whale watching, as it seemed that the boat activities were not suitable for them yet. I had heard that the area where whales appear is beyond Hawaii Kai, but it seemed that the Honolulu mainly offered sightseeing, as the tour only went as far as providing a view of Waikiki. If you have the time and are mainly interested in sightseeing, it might be fine, but for those hoping for the kind of whale watching advertised, I think other activities would be better.

We participated as a family on April 2nd. Since there was no pickup at 8 AM, I was thinking of taking the trolley bus, but it seemed that it wasn't running yet. 波が穏やかであれば船酔いの心配はないです
鯨の潮吹きと尻尾が遠目で見ることが出来ます
ハイジャンプは冬にしか見れないとアナウンスしてました
子供達はすぐに飽きてしまいました
港に帰るまで心地よい潮風に打たれて気持ちよく寝れました（笑）

I had a wonderful time on the sunset cruise. Overall, I felt that despite the large number of people on board, the boarding and disembarking process was very smooth when getting on the large bus at the meeting point, Sheraton Waikiki. I didn't feel like I was waiting at all. Additionally, since I was with my elementary school-aged child, we opted for the buffet, and the staff guided us to each table, which helped avoid congestion. During that time, there was live music, making it enjoyable, so I didn't feel like I was waiting. Thanks to the cheerful staff, it was a fun experience.

However, the boat did sway quite a bit. Also, the space between the tables was narrow, making it difficult to move once seated. My child got seasick, which was a bit of a challenge, but after about 30 minutes on board, we were able to move around, which was a relief. By the time we were enjoying the sunset on the upper deck with the wind in our hair, my child had gotten used to the boat, and the seasickness was gone, so that was great.

ただ、船は結構揺れました。　それと、テーブルとテーブルの間が狭いので、一旦座ってしまうと動きにくかったです。子どもが船酔いをして困りましたが、乗船30分後には船中で移動が可能となりましたので助かりました。　上の階で風に吹かれながらサンセットを楽しんでいる頃には、子どもも船に慣れて、船酔いはなくなりましたので良かったです。

I was really looking forward to it, so I felt a bit disappointed.
The seats were for two and at the edge.
The food took a long time to arrive, and the last drink (coffee) was not served.
It did come when I mentioned it, though.
If the seats had been better, I think I would have enjoyed the hula dance show as well.

I participated on March 24th. Since I tend to get seasick, I took motion sickness medication early, which may have helped, but I did feel a bit nauseous when the waves were rough. However, as soon as we spotted the whale, my seasickness disappeared. The sweet potato-like dish was delicious, and I even had seconds on the cookies. When the whale was spotted, there was a cheer from everyone.
