ビショップミュージアムとても良かった
Reviewed by: 横浜のハワイ大好きおじさん, 2024/03/31バウチャーを印字しいざ受付窓口へ、何の問題もなくスムーズに受付終了、窓口で日本語案内のQRコードをインストール更に日本語ガイドツアーの開始時間や待つ場所を案内されました。すべて英語での案内でしたが英語が苦手の自分でも分かりやすいように説明され助かりました。
日本語での案内は30分間とありましたが、45分間案内されハワイの歴史などわかりやすく勉強することができました。
展示品の素晴らしく見ごたえがありました。特にマントや帽子の飾りに鳥の羽が使われているのですが、この鳥はすでに絶滅してをその理由も興味深かったです。
ベルトラさんの料金は多分前売り料金で正規料金よりだいぶ安かったと思います、助かりました。
ハワイの歴史に興味のある方是非訪れてください。

やはり英語ができないと楽しめない。。。

ですので、日本語でのフォローもほとんどなく、英語にそれほど不自由しない私たちでも内容があまり理解できずに終わりました。
星座の知識があれば理解できたかもしれませんが。
ただ、土星などは望遠鏡で見ることができて、貴重な体験だったと思いました。また、最後に写真をプレゼントしてくれました。
レビューしていただきありがとうございます。申し訳ありませんが、日本語を話すことに重点を置いていませんでした。いつかまた戻ってきたら、2 人分の無料スター ショーがあります。アロハ

天文学者マッカートニーさんにレクチャー受けながらの星空観察は最高
Reviewed by: えみ, 2023/10/05気さくなマッカートニーさんがとても楽しませてくれました。レクチャーをうけながら高性能望遠鏡で星を眺めるのは想像以上にロマンチックで神秘的。とても感動しました。
土星のリングもくっきり見えてとてもかわいいかったです。月も望遠鏡に収まりきらないほど大きくクレーターもはっきり映っていてとても驚きました。
ミルキーウェイもこんなにたくさん星が集まっているのかとびっくりしました。肉眼では見えない星たちもたくさん見ることができました！
翌日からは星空鑑賞会で教えてもらった事を思い出しながらハワイの夜空を子供とゆっくり楽しめました。
望遠鏡に写った星の写真をメールで送ってもらいました。とてもいい思い出になりました。

は丁寧にしてくれます…また望遠鏡も電子GPS付きの高精度なのと、普通の望遠鏡の２台を、参加者全員で交代で見ますし、PC画面上にも映してくれるので〜星の観察は、解説も交えて先生がしてくれます。※片言の日本語では〜話しをしてくれますが…家族でお子様連れ方は子供

ハワイとポリネシア文化への理解を深める！
Reviewed by: ひまわりママ, 2023/08/12何度もハワイに旅行しましたが、こちらのミュージアムは初めて訪問しました。予想以上に充実した展示内容で、ハワイ王朝やその時代の写真展示も多く、感慨深かったです。ポリネシア文化全体についての知識を深めることができます。10:30～、11:30～の２回、日本人ガイドによる簡単な説明もあります。私たちは知らずに10:45に到着しましたが、交渉して10:30の回に入れていただきました（日本語ガイドの開催される曜日や時間は事前に確認した方がいいかもしれません）。ミュージアム以外にも、子供向けの学習施設（遊び場）、プラネタリム、科学センター等併設していますが、これらはさほどたいしたことはありません。
この度はビショップミュージアムへのご来館、誠にありがとうございました！展示品からハワイとポリネシアの歴史、文化、伝統をご覧いただける当ミュージアムの一番の見所とも言えるハワイアンホールコンプレックスをお楽しみ頂けたようでしたら私共も嬉しい限りです。パンデミック後の現在は10:30amと11:30amから約30分のツアーを可能な限り開催しておりますが、コメント頂きましたように事前にご確認頂けますと最新の情報をお伝えすることができます。期間で展示が変わる特別展や、新しく常設展示に加わるものもありますので、またどうぞ次回もミュージアムをお楽しみ下さい！

Wonderful

We learned about Hawaiian values, the significance of the leis, danced some hula steps, and the men pounded taro. It was fun, staff was excellent, and we ended with a chant to the sunset. Everyone was so glad we did this. Highly recommended.

Bishop Museum Tickets & Admission - Hawaii Museum of Natural & Cultural History
Extensive Museum of Hawaiian History & More!
Reviewed by: MarNi06, 2023/05/04The Bishop Museum was at the top of our list when it came to museums to visit. With an expansive exhibit in the Hawaiian Hall main building, they have everything from artifacts from the Hawaiian Royal Family to traditional medicine and religion. Do not miss this part of the museum - it's too important to miss!
There was also a kid-friendly Backyard Adventures Exhibit in the Castle Memorial Building, which my young son absolutely enjoyed. Each part of this exhibit is interactive and teaches kids about the seasons and bugs too!
The Richard T. Mamiya Science Adventure Center is an amazing exhibit which houses their volcano exhibit and native flora and fauna. There is an amazing walk through of a dark maze backlit with colorful birds and plants. Don't miss this one either!
The Bishop Museum is a wonderful resource and cultural center for both locals and visitors. I highly recommend it and consider it to be among the most comprehensive publically available experiences on Hawaiian & Pacific culture. Don't miss the chance to visit!

Guided Stargazing Tour Led by NASA Ambassador Astronomer [Ko Olina]
Best Stargazing on Earth!
Reviewed by: MarNi06, 2023/05/02We headed over to Ko Olina and drove to the main entrance of the Four Seasons Resort. Parking was valet so be sure to bring extra cash, which was $20 plus tip. The stargazing is located on the top floor of the spa building at the tennis courts.
Our guide Greg was very knowledgable and gave interesting tidbits about how the Hawaiians used the stars both in their folklore and in their navigation. The stars are quite beautiful in Hawaii so we were glad to have been able to do stargazing here.
Some of the most unique stargazing can only be done in the islands, so this was well worth doing for us!

This was my third visit to Hawaii but my first time in Ko Olina. Our stargazing took place on the top level of The Four Seasons Tennis Court.
My girlfriend's daughter enjoys astronomy and she was excited every opportunity to see through the telescope.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. I highly recommend this experience.

My husband and I embarked on the sunset tour and I will save up my dollars and do it again in the future. The 4 person crew covered more things than I expected. They are very passionate about their home and it’s history, and educate and support many different people besides tourists.This is a good way to start a visit to the island as it will add more perspective to your visit overall.

ご来館いただきありがとうございました。プラネタリウムのプログラムは水曜日以外催行されているのですが、残念ながらすべて英語のプログラムです。
11月17日から月2回程度ではありますが、有料フラレッスンを再開いたしました。次回はぜひフラレッスンお申し込みください。

Amazing experience !

Amazing stories, singing, food and interactive activities and seeing the dolphins and honu (turtles) swimming alongside our wa’a (waka/ boat) was magical! We were well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and relaxed hospitality. Definitely recommend this to people who are looking for an authentic, educational and fun experience of Hawaii. The 8am morning sail is worth it!

If you're looking for a unique cultural experience, this is it. We did the morning cruise and were the only 2 guests on the boat which was really cool. The boat limits capacity to 6-guests. As a local resident, I really liked how the two main hosts of the cultural experience and the Captain were Kamehameha graduates. This boat also offers midday cruises and sunset. Overall, the morning sail was calm and one of the truly unique sails here on Oahu.

For our session, it was cool to meet at the rooftop tennis courts and not too hard to find. We saw a variety of stars, the moon close-up, and even Saturn. Our group was larger than I expected but anyone could ask questions throughout the experience. I'd love more stories or information to be shared throughout, but again it was an easy, light-hearted, and informative night. Also, we didn't want to commit to one of the long star-gazing activities especially on the other islands because it wouldn't work well with the different ages in our group so this was shorter and manageable.

Amazing crew and incredible experience!

The day we boarded was just myself, my partner and another family of four, which made it a very relaxing and peaceful day experience. The music, food, and history was something we will never forget. Even though the water was calm that day, don’t forget dramamine if you get easily sea sick like myself! I felt so bad for probably looking so uncomfortable, because it’s absolutely a once in a lifetime experience! We are so grateful for the chance to have been on board with them.
