I participated alone, but it was the best experience and I was very satisfied!!! I was secured with a three-point seatbelt in the left rear window seat, and the pilot's skillful handling made it generally stable. However, when we hit turbulence, I felt the seatback being pushed, which was a bit scary at first. But the amazing views quickly made me accustomed to it.
It says to bring a jacket, but you can borrow a hoodie. They also lent me a smartphone case to hang around my neck. It's okay if you don't understand the language too well since you watch a video beforehand. I signed up for the 30-minute course, but it turned into a one-hour course at no extra charge. If your schedule is tight, it might be good to check in advance.

As an individual who is terrified of heights it has been a dream of mine to ride in a helicopter so I booked my flight on my 49th birthday. I chose this company as it seemed to have the most positive reviews. Kyle was our pilot and let's just say I had an awesome time!! He flew us over the best parts of Oahu!! There were waterfalls, beautiful beaches, the Dole plantation, Pearl Harbor and much more. It was the best birthday present EVER!!
If the person by the window is in charge of photography, you can take great pictures even with a door. Since it was a travel day, I brought a large suitcase, but I was allowed to leave it in a corner of the room where the explanation video next to the reception counter was shown. I couldn't bring a bag on board, so I only took my smartphone and video camera. I left my valuables like my wallet in a staff-managed locked drawer. My daughter got motion sickness during the flight, but the captain kindly handed her an airsickness bag and checked on her frequently. The seats were assigned, and my son, who is not good with heights, ended up by the window, but he enjoyed the view. There is a box to leave tips in the initial room. I looked at the list of pilot photos and wrote my name and a message on an envelope to put in the tip. Fantastic way to see the island. Flight was fun and informative. Pilot was great and the ground crew was fantastic. Was shown parts of the island I would never see from the ground. A ride and experience I will never forget.
My daughter and I enjoyed our first helicopter ride with Paradise Helicopters. We got to see so many beautiful parts of Oahu. Our favorite part was landing on the mountain top to view Kualoa Ranch Valley. Highly recommends this trip for everyone!

I was impressed by the incredibly beautiful views, such as Hanauma Bay. The pilot (English only) was also very kind and wonderful! He piloted while explaining important locations. Don't forget to tip the pilot!! If you receive good service, it's nice to give a gratuity.
I strongly recommend taking motion sickness medication, as I think people who are not used to helicopters will definitely get sick! We took motion sickness medication in advance and chose the shorter 30-minute course, but we still felt a little nauseous. Just when I thought I was getting sick, we landed, so it was okay, but if it had been the longer 60-minute course, I might have felt worse.
We also purchased the video recording option, but to be honest, I think it wasn't necessary. There was no audio, and the visuals weren't very clear, so it felt like it wasn't worth the price. Other than that, I was very satisfied! I highly recommend this tour!

We definitely recommend the doors off Royal Crown of Oahu helicopter tour. It was a windy morning but our pilot (Karsen) was awesome. He pointed out many landmarks along the way and provided a bit of background on each.

Wish we'd taken the tour our first day to give us a much clearer view of how much there is to see around Oahu island.

Exhilarating and beautiful experience. It was amazing to see all the sights we visited from the ground (Pearl Harbour, sandbar, Waikiki etc). The beauty of the island is really highlighted, including the turquoise waters and Jurassic Park mountains. Expect to have a LOT of wind blowing through the cabin, so take it seriously when they recommend the light jacket. Our pilot was awesome too, he pointed out all the landmarks and helped take fun photos with us too. It also felt very safe throughout.
This was hands down the coolest thing we have done. not just on the island. but in general. brandon and the whole team were very friendly and funny. made the whole experience above what me and my wife were expecting. beautiful views and an experience we’ll never forget!! MUST DO THIS!!
I was a bit unsure about this tour because of the price but my children were incredibly excited to see Hawaii from the air. The tour did not dissapoint and I would recommend the experience to anyone coming to Hawaii!
It was a lovely and unique way to see the island of Oahu. To see Waikiki Beach and all the other landmarks from the air was brilliant. Helicopter ride itself was amazing. Our pilot Brandon was friendly, funny and informative. He made the flight for us. Would definitely recommend doing this activity and sitting up front with the pilot. 10/10!!!
WOW! This doors-off flight was AMAZING. You start at Turtle Bay's heliport (conveniently in the parking lot, only a quick 5-min golf cart ride from the hotel). Then, we flew around the island with an amazing helicopter pilot. She landed us at Kualoa Ranch and we had the best views around us. The helicopter ride was amazing...but the landing..wow! I can't say enough good things about this tour.
Keep in mind, with the doors off it's very windy. I'd recommend wearing a windbreaker jacket to be comfortable.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Our pilot was informative and funny. The only downside was the video of our trip was not record by helicopter because of communication issues with the tour. We did get make a fun video with a replica of the Magnum PI Ferrari.
Booked this tour for my parents to enjoy a sightseeing experience of the beautiful island. They had a thrill and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. No complaints!
This was our first time traveling to Hawaii and the Magnum Helicopter Doors-Off Island Tour was our first activity. An absolutely incredible experience. You get to see the whole island and popular sites to visit. It is honestly breathtaking. We had the best flight! It was our first time on Oahu. This was a wonderful way to see the island from the air before we started exploring. We had a great pilot who was very knowledgeable. We will definitely be doing this again!
This was definitely one of my favorite experiences. I highly recommend it. You see the island in all of its beauty. Also arrive a little early so you can get to film an extra little film on site.
Make sure you bring good sunglasses and I recommend either a bun or braid if you have long hair because just a ponytail will still hit you a bit. It does get chilly so bring long sleeves. And if you’re a freeze baby long pants too.
And if you can’t see something clearly on your feel free to ask your pilot to flip the helicopter around so you can get a better view! They’re super nice and accommodating about making sure you can see :)

This is by far the best (and quickest) way to see the whole island of Oahu! I was amazed that in just a little over an hour we were able to see all of the major attractions of the whole island!
We saw everything from Pearl Harbor and Waikiki, to Diamond Head, Jurassic Valley, and even a waterfall that's only accessible from the air! The views were beyond breathtaking and the pilot made sure to turn the helicopter so that everyone could enjoy the view. He also provided a knowledgeable narration of Oahu's culture and history.
If you're visiting Oahu (or any of the islands) a circle island helicopter tour is definitely a must! You won't be disappointed!

We had an amazing flight enjoying overwhelming views of the island, amongst others the North Shore, beaches, mountains, volcanos, Waikiki, Pearl Harbour and a waterfall. Our very experienced pilot Miguel explained everything in detail and provided a lot of insight.
This was a once-in-a-liftetime experience, which we do not want to miss, and the highlight of our O'ahu holidays.

It was all saftey 1st, then a very educational and friendly flight.
Ground staff at "check-in" however could be friendlier...we fliers are investing quite a bit: our futures and our cash.
Smiles cost nothing but can add great value.
This was cool, but they advertise alot on their Instagram with pictures of feet hanging out of the Helicopter, but they do not allow those kind of pictures at all.
I highly advice atleast a sweater and long pants since it does get cold
