It was our first family trip to Hawaii, and this cruise was a lot of fun. The meals were generous, including a whole lobster, which is something you can't easily find in Japan. The day after our wedding in Hawaii, we participated in the Three Star Couple Plan. The ship was much larger than I imagined, and there were quite a few people on board.

To be honest, I didn't think the food was very good. The drinks (like cocktails) also seemed to be a level lower compared to others. However, the pleasant breeze and beautiful sunset make it a recommendation for couples. (On that day, there were four newlywed couples on the third floor.)

We booked the Three Star Couple Plan for eight people without transportation. We took the Waikiki Trolley from the hotel, but it took a bit longer due to traffic in the evening. (I recommend leaving early.) There were two tables for four by the window prepared for us.

The plan included one bottle of champagne for every two people (a total of four bottles) and two premium drinks per person (you can choose from the menu), so we didn't incur any additional charges.

The food was delicious, and the Hawaiian and jazz live performances (including Japanese songs) were all great. The weather was nice, and we were able to see a wonderful sunset, which was the best part!

In the end, we all formed a circle and had a great time, even more than we had anticipated.

We had a photo taken with all eight of us, which became a memorable keepsake in the Star of Honolulu album. You can add an extra photo for about $20.

My wife and I were just on vacation in Hawaii and decided to take this dinner cruise. We opt for the limo transportation (not worth it, its only a 10 minute ride without traffic) and realized that the docks were not far from the wakiki hotel area. Anyway, they take you onto the boat and direct you to the appropriate floor according to the package you select. We selected the 5 star which was relaxing and not a party environment like downstairs(4 star). You listen to jazz and singing. It's very romantic and the views are out of this world. The 7 course dinner is ok, small protions but you do get kinda full. Couples plan is recommended. They brought our champagne very late which was disappointing but they gave us a free picture and the bottle to make up for it. They give you drink coupons anyway so it's no big deal. Our cruise was almost ruined because of the disrespectful crowd right next to us. One person in particular was laughing very loud you couldn't even hear the perform

The staff & service are both fantastic. They are so accommodating. The food is very good, however I was not able to enjoy it because I was so seasick. I didn't expect it to be such a rough ride. The boat could use an upgrade & makeover for sure. It's a bit dated. Entertainment was OK. That part could use an upgrade as well. They should know that there ARE good songs from this decade as well. Spring for the upgrade. Downstairs looked a bit crowded.

We were picked up by bus to the hotel, and everything was in English, but my high school daughter translated for us, so we got on the bus smoothly. It was a bit disappointing that dinner was on the first floor of the luxury cruise ship, but we had a lot of fun going out on the deck and watching the sunset. I think it's enjoyable for both families and groups. In our family, we talk about how "if we go to Hawaii again, we want to go back."

We participated as a family of five adults and two children. When we took the voucher to the cruise office, they immediately exchanged it for tickets. There were three ladies at the office, two of whom were Japanese, so I thought there were quite a few Japanese people around. Before boarding, there was a welcoming hula dance in front of the ship, which really got us in the mood.

Once we boarded, we were quickly shown to our seats. Since there were seven of us, we were seated at a round table for eight, close to the stage. The appetizer was a cheese and fruit bar where we could help ourselves. After that, the food was served at the table. Each person received two drink tickets, so there were no additional charges. Just as we finished our meal, the sunset was happening, and we took some photos. The hula dance show started around the time the sun went down, and we returned to the dock as the show was ending.

Aloha Tower is far from Waikiki, and the roads were congested, so we took the trolley, which took about an hour. I recommend allowing plenty of time to get there.

We participated in the Three Star cruise with my spouse and mother. I was unsure whether to opt for the shuttle service, but in the end, it was the right choice to go without it. Since there were three of us, taking a taxi round trip was more economical, and we were able to board early and relax.

The waitress immediately poured us sparkling wine for our pre-dinner drink and toasted with us. We had a second toast with the Mai Tai we ordered using drink tickets while enjoying our appetizers, and soon the shuttle bus guests started arriving, making the atmosphere lively.

I participated in a gathering of both families the night before the overseas wedding.

I didn't arrange for transportation and took a taxi to the venue. When I requested 11 taxis at the hotel front desk, instead of three sedans, they called two limousine taxis (which were a bit worn since they were for taxi use). It took about 30 minutes from Waikiki to Aloha Tower, costing $24 per taxi including tip. I arrived early and checked in myself, which was a bit tiring, but showing Alan's voucher made everything smooth without any issues. On the way back, I was able to get a taxi right away from the taxi stand.

The onboard facilities were decent, the food was average, and the dancing was a bit over the top, but everything flowed well, and it was enjoyable without any excess or deficiency. Since it was a time of long days, the sunset was just before returning to port, but the high sun over the sea looked beautiful, like blue paint being dissolved! We enjoyed talking about which hotel we were staying at and pointing out Diamond Head. Before departure, a staff member took a photo with the shaka sign, and later they came around selling albums, which are usually unnecessary but felt precious during such a memorable time. I had a decent time. The scenery was beautiful!
If you're sensitive to the rocking of the boat, don't forget to take motion sickness medication.
It did rock quite a bit.
The food might not have been that great.
However, I was feeling a bit unwell at the time, so this is just my personal opinion.
If you can sit near the band in the center, you're lucky.
After the meal, there’s dancing and such, but if you're shy or hesitant, don't hold back—participating will definitely make it more enjoyable.
Whether you join in or not can really affect your overall satisfaction.
It was a bit disappointing to be seated at the edge in terms of the atmosphere.

I went with high expectations for the scenery and the show, but to be honest, I didn't have much hope for the food. However, the lobster was surprisingly delicious, and the four of us dug in! I was very satisfied with that lobster!!! We went as two couples, and since we had signed up for the couple's plan, a photographer took a commemorative photo for us, which we received in a lovely album from Star of Honolulu on our way out. I was really touched. With the couple's plan, we also got a window-side seat, which was great! The show was lively, so I found it more enjoyable with friends rather than just the two of us. I definitely want to go again!

景色やショーには期待して行きましたが、料理ははっきりいってあまり期待していませんでした。ところが、ロブスターが意外においしくて四人でかぶりついて食べました。あのロブスターには満足！！！　　2組のカップルで行ったのですがカップルプランを申し込んでおいたら記念写真をカメラマンが撮ってくれて帰り際にスターオブホノルルのアルバムに入った状態で素敵な写真を頂き、感激しました。カップルプランにすると窓際の席にしてもらえるし、良かったです！　ショーがあったりしてけっこうにぎやかなので二人きりよりは友達も一緒のほうが私は楽しかったです。

On the last day in Hawaii, I participated in a three-star experience. The welcome champagne, lobster, and steak were all delicious. Since the location is away from the waiting area, I recommend a plan that includes transportation. Also, I think it's better to add $20 for a couple's seat. You can enjoy a bottle of champagne and sit by the window with a photo included, so I highly recommend it.

ハワイでの最終日に３スターに参加しました。
ウェルカムシャンパン、ロブスター、ステーキすべて美味しかったです。
場所が待ち中から離れたところにあるので、送迎つきのプランがお勧めです。
あと、20ドルプラスして、カップルシートにした方が良いと思います☆☆

We went on the sunset dinner cruise in June 2007 and had a great time! All of the staff was wonderful and very friendly. The dinner was good- nice portions ( we did NOT go home hungry), and the music and show was a blast! The top deck was perfect for taking sunset pictures of Diamond Head. We did the couple's plan and recommend it to any couple deciding on this package. This ended up being a really fun night for the both of us and would highly recommend it to anyone going to Oahu!

You can enjoy the scenery, savor the food, and watch the show. The meal consists of appetizers served buffet-style, while the rest is served to you, allowing you to enjoy a hotel-like experience. Since I’m not a fan of steak, I requested fish dishes in advance, and they changed it for me without any issues. The portions are substantial, and if you leave food behind, they check in with you, asking, "Is it not to your taste?" which made me feel well taken care of. Each table has a dedicated staff member who engages with you. Time flew by in no time. The final group train event was the best! I highly recommend it.

We participated in the 3-star cruise with my family of four, including my parents. Although we didn't get a window seat, we still enjoyed the inner seats. The windows were large, so we could see outside well, and when we wanted a better view, we went out to the deck. (In fact, some people mentioned that the window seats could get hot due to the afternoon sun depending on the direction.) I, who am not fond of boats, found it manageable since there was little rocking.

We ordered various tropical cocktails, but the Lava Flow was a bit strong. I remember the Blue Hawaii being refreshingly delicious. My mother, who can't have alcohol, was happy to have a non-alcoholic version made for her.

The boat itself went around in circles and anchored while we waited for the sunset, but there were shows and dance times on board, so we never felt bored. I think for a honeymoon, a quieter 5-star experience would be preferable.

席は、窓側にはならなかったのですが、内側の席でも楽しめました。

船内でも、ショウや一緒に楽しむダンスタイムなどもあり、時間を持て余す、ということはありませんでした。
ハネムーンとかであれば、ざわつきもない5スターがいいのだろうなぁと思います。

I participated with my colleagues from the company. Due to budget constraints, we opted for the regular star seating instead of the three-star option. I couldn't see much of the excitement of the show because I was enjoying the view from the deck during the performance, but my colleagues who watched the show seemed satisfied. As for the food, I honestly thought it was just average. Since it wasn't fully booked, we were able to sit at a table meant for six with only five people, which was enjoyable. I believe about 80% of the guests were Japanese. While Japanese is spoken, I think having some English conversation skills would enhance the experience. The star seating is on the first deck, while the three-star seating is on the second deck, but since everyone can access the top deck, those who prioritize the view over the meal might find the star seating just fine. The photos taken for each group are quite expensive, but they come in a special album and make for great memories. Overall, I would recommend it.

It was my mom's birthday and we went with the family ! What a great time we had and the food was just fantastic. A lot of the dinner cruises don't seem to put to much thought and effort in the cuisine, but whoever came up with the menu for the Pacific Star obviously knew what they were doing. The nice thing was how relaxing and quiet it was. My sister walked around the boat and noticed how loud the hula show was, and I am glad that we chose the Pacific Star. The guitar player was top-notch and it was a nice not having to yell at each other to hear everyone over the music.

THIS WAS ONE THE BEST TIMES I HAD WHEN I WAS IN HAWAII. THE FOOD WAS GOOD, THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND THE SUNSET WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL. I WAS WORRIED THAT THE BOAT WOULD BE ROCKY BUT IT WAS SMOOTH SAILING AND THE UPPER DECK IS A GREAT PLACE TO SIT BACK AND RELAX WITH YOUR HUNNY!

This was probably one the best hi-lights of our trip.It was a very pleasant surprise,as we had no idea what to expect.The only thing wrong was that the sun didn't co-operate for us .But all in all it was a very pleasant experience.I will do this again if we ever make it back there.
