A must do while on O’ahu!
Reviewed by: Becky, 2024/04/22Being able to drive up into the mountains and learn so much about the history of the mountains and the area was amazing. The added bonus of seeing different movie sites and learning about movies and shows being filmed in that area was cool too.
I was surprised that we did not stop at all of the sites with movie props. Especially the ones specific to Jurassic park so that was a bit of a disappointment but otherwise it was a great excursion.

ATV Raptor

Great day out

Amazing ATV tour!!!

Guides were nice and funny, a lot of joking. Lol
One thing, we did this tour from 8am, check in time was 7:15 but the check in counter didn’t open when we arrived at 7:15. It was opened at 7:30.
So the most earliest tour should be noticed to show up at check in counter at 7:30.
Thank you so much for experience this tour. I will recommend my friends and also I will join another tour when I would come back to Hawaii.

Dusty but good view

Raptor Adventure

The stops were pretty cool. I only wish we would have stopped at the bone field and the wall from JW. We would definitely do one of the other tours.

Awesome! Would do again

Adventure Time!

You get to see various places where iconic scenes were filmed from Jurassic park and Godzilla. The scenery alone is enough to make me want to go back and take it all in. Good for couples and families while on vacation.

UTV Tour

The UTV’s were safe and only allowed 15 mph. The terrain was picturesque to say the least and our guides were fun and knowledgeable. Great tour!

Fun experience
Reviewed by: Shane , 2022/01/29Just make sure you prepare. Bring your own eyewear (goggles). Don’t use just a mask, wear a full head overnight or a mask that covers most of your face. It is really dusty and my eyes were burning after.
The helmets are really dirty and unless you want your skin to breakout. Bring a hat.
Girls don’t do your make up before, and don’t come dressed in nice clothes. Expect them to get really dirty. I’d suggest a change of clothes in your car.
But super fun, pack a lot of water. Great staff. Great vibes.

Reviewed by: Jeff, 2021/12/05The property was beautiful the guides were amazing. The info provided on the tour was great. I enjoyed learning about the culture along with the different films taking place in the area. I wish they would’ve went all the way camp with the Jurassic theme.
I’m sure there are copyright issues that they can’t. But go all in, embrace the dinosaurs that lead people to you.

Reviewed by: Mainers, 2021/09/17We were a little disappointed at first. We thought it was single ATV’s but we ended up with 4 in a jeep. Apparently even when you book 2 drivers and 2 riders it is per family. After the initial disappointment, the ride was pretty fun. The views were stunning.

Stunning views
Reviewed by: Linda , 2020/03/16The ATV tour was great! I know some people were scared to ride the vehicle, but I love a but of adrenaline. So I left wanting more! But we had to stick to the track and keep in a single file. The views are just superb and wish we had more time to soak that in.
Our guide was awesome and took some really cool pictures of us. He was from South America.

The Multi-Passenger Raptor UTV tour allows drivers to switch off wherever the lead decides for the group to stop and take pictures. Considering how fully booked this place is, I never felt overwhelmed by the amount of people and during the tour itself, I felt like we were the only people driving around. Each turn led to a scenic view. Our 1 hour tour felt really short. We only stopped once and I was left wanting more. I wouldn't call this a tour because there is no narration or information provided. You simply follow your group and the passenger(s) take pictures/videos.

Great as sightseeing tour

But if you're looking for a little excitement and Adventure on your ATV this is definitely not the tour. You are not allowed to drive over 10 miles per hour. We enjoyed the tour. It just wasn't what we thought it would be.

Highlight of our trip

Incredible location, slow pace
Reviewed by: Jorge, 2015/04/11My wife & I love to do ATV tours every place we go on vacation, so needless to say, Hawaii was a must. The Kualoa Ranch is an incredibly beautiful location where many movies (although mostly subpar) have been filmed, and our guide was very knowledgeable & friendly, so no complaints there.
However, compared to other similar tours we've done, this one was much slower. At the beginning, they warn that it's a 12mph tour, and that's probably an accurate average. The ATVs aren't very powerful, so you'll be lucky if you even reach 20mph going down hill.
It started pouring on our tour, and we were ready with rain jackets, but if not, the instructor will provide clear plastic ponchos. This may be miserable to some, but it actually made it more fun and genuine for us, as we got to ride through puddles & mud in the pouring jungle.
In conclusion, I understand the goal is to make this a safe experience, and that everyone varies in terms of ATV skills, but maybe there should be should be a couple of level options (maybe 1-hour tours = easy, 2-hour tours = moderate?). I would consider my wife & I as average drivers, so by no means am I asking for a daredevil & speedy experience, but a little more pace would have gone a long way. Otherwise, this tour is a no-brainer experience, as it's one of the most beautiful places we've been.

ATV Adventure

I felt the equipment could have been in better maintained condition as well as the helmet selection was a bit limited. I would also suggest that the ranch consider offering the side-by-side UTV's as an alternative as they drive more like a car for those who might not be comfortable on an ATV and can carry a second passenger.

The tour guide was friendly and informative. We recommend the 2 hour tour so you can go further back in the mountains. You don't have to have any ATV experience. We really recommend this tour.

Great Fun!

This was the perfect thing to do. Coming from Waikiki Beach we ended up renting a convertible for the day and it was a beautiful drive up the coast. We got there a little early and found several treasures in the gift shop. There were riders with a varied range of experience in our group (including a first timer or two) and a great time was had by all. We opted for the 2 hour tour and definitely recommend it. The back side of the mountain was a little more challenging but still quite safe and great fun. The views were fabulous and there were several photo opportunities including some of the tv/movie locations, our guides even picked some guava from the trees which was a lovely treat. Make sure you heed their warning about wearing long pants as there is quite a bit of heat coming out of the ATV around your legs after a while and closed-toed shoes a

Fantastic Tour!
Reviewed by: Midwest Experience, 2009/03/21My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Coming from the Midwest, I have rode an ATV before but my boyfriend had done very little riding. You definitely do not need any prior experience in ATV riding to do this tour. We had a great guide whom was very informative and spectacular views with a little dirt and mud along the way. Don't wear your nicest clothes and definitely wear jeans and closed toed shoes as you will get dirty! This tour is definitely worth the money!
