Creepy nice
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2012/10/18Everyone was nice almost to the creepy extreme if you are from NY or Chicago. Big BYU influence may have been the reason for the overly dressed female workers. Very child friendly environment. Would defiantly take a young family there.

Polynesian Culture Center

The canoe ride, the canoe parade, and the activities were very well done. Our guides, Hannah and Saydie were awesome. They really made our tour special, and were very informative. The HA fire show was amazing !
The only thing that was disappointing was the dinner. There wasn't much of a variety. I went back for seconds and there was barely any food left, and no fruit. It seemed that we were rushed throught dinner. I was very disappointed in what I thought would be an "authentic" luau.

2nd Time Around
Reviewed by: Wanda K, 2012/08/08This is the second year in a row that we attended the Polynesian Cultural Center and the Alii Luau. The show is great and the food is probably the best we have had at a Luau. This is probably because the focus is on doing everything possible so that the guest is entertained with a wonderful show and feed all the delicious food you want to eat instead of trying to get you to spend your money on alcohol and then getting you to act foolish like they do at many of the other luaus on Oahu.

Items that need improvement.
Reviewed by: Pat, 2012/07/27Overall, the show and activities were really good. However, we feel that there could have been some improvements in other areas.
First, the people who paid extra to sit next to the stage had to climb a great many steps which had no hand rails, to reach the food, drinks and to use the restrooms. There should be an area for the food and drinks to be closer for those people seated near the stage who paid more money for their tickets.
Secondly, after the first time that the our server came to help me with our order, she returned to see if we needed more food, but did not return after that to see if we wanted any dessert or coffee. The dessert and coffee were on another section of the upper level.
Third, since I was in a wheelchair, when the show started, I was wheeled in through the back of the stage to my seat. My wife was told that she could not come with me or exit the way I came in, causing a big problem at the end of the show. She was told to go to the customer relations des

Must do at least once PCC!

The food was really good and the show was excellent. Everyone should go at least once and you may need to go back to see what you missed the first time.

Great value!
Reviewed by: Aimee, 2012/03/31Great value for a great price. The only negative is that you definitely need more than ~1 hour to get an adequate feeling of the entire Center. This is a great package if you're just looking for a luau (buffet style with entertainment) and an excellent evening show. Will definitely go back for an entire day trip!

Traveling with a toddler

Fun Day at PCC!
Reviewed by: Gunjan, 2011/03/15great trip out to the Polynesian Cultural Center! very informative and fun at each village.. traveled with family with kids in mid 20s and we all enjoyed. Luau and night show (Ha) were both enjoyable! only problem is that you are on your own once you get there unless you want to pay more for a guide..didnt think you really needed one especially if you just follow the map in order you can see the whole park in a day!

Recommended for First Timers...
Reviewed by: seattleWA, 2011/01/09Dont miss "HA-the Breath of Life"-this presentation is showing all the different costumes and dances of the 5 different tribes inside the Polynesian Culture Center-is a very nice introduction to their culture all concentrated in a 90 minute presentation. Staffs were kind and frendly. However, I would not recommend the buffet- food is not worth the price...

Make sure you get what you paid for
Reviewed by: SM, 2010/11/29Don't get me wrong, we had a wonderful time at PCC however our guide kept leaving us behind, she moved so quickly thru the crowds that my husband had a hard time keeping up, pushing me in a wheelchair. She would just go on without us. We did not get to experience everything we paid for, the food was medicore, our guide could have cared less but the parade of floats was amazing and the HA breath of life show was an experience of a lifetime.

Great time
Reviewed by: Montreal couple, 2010/07/19We would recommend the Polynesian cultural center for many reasons. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. It was great fun to be so immersed in the cultures presented...dancing in Tahiti, singing and playing music in Fiji to name just a couple. The luau was a great opportunity to see the many different forms of hula dancing, and the food was great and plentiful.
In short, the Polynesian Cultural Center should not be missed!

Dinner cud hv been Authentic...
Reviewed by: GeeKay, 2010/07/18I think overall the package was the best and most unique experience I have ever enjoyed but I think the Dinner timings werent quite right and could be delayed a bit and also the staff were kinda urgent towards the end of buffet timings that we really couldnt enjoy the Dinner all the way till dessert. That kinda impacted me not to give 5 Star for it. And believe me you need the whole full day to cover PCC and half day wont do justice for this unique experience.

The show HA was breath-taking

That's the way to go if you have limited time and what to navigate the park and catch as many of the mini-shows at each village as possible. Our guide set a leisurely pace, so the group and older folks can stick together.
The food at the luau was medicore. But the village experience and the night show, HA waws great!

Wonderful dinner cruise.

Our server was perfect and made us feel pretty special. The show after dinner was top-notch, too, and a lot of fun. We did not cruise as far as we might have, but the weather was not cooperating. Can't help that. The highlight of our Honolulu vacation!

Overall a fantastic place. There are so many things to see. Very friendly staff and guides. The night show was outstanding. You have to experience this if you come to Oahu. Well worth the money

Half day tour
Reviewed by: Don, 2008/12/01Was not a full half day tour. Not enough time to see most attractions. Dinner and show only. Upgrade to prime rib/seafood buffet does not include luau setting. Shell lei was not as good as a flowered lei and no rememberance picture taken. Food and show were excellant.

Luau-Polynesian Cultural Center

Reviewed by: Tim, 2008/09/29The location is very clean and organized. We returned to the Polynesian Culter Center because of the fun and knowledge we came away with in our first trip there in 2006. We didn't get to view the complete park our first time do to its size. The weather was a chanllege this time and we saw less of the activites than before. Our tour guide was not up to all the knowledge needed to lead our group, she had been only a tour guide for three weeks. For the price and knowledge you wanted to gather fell far short.
The luau dinner was great and the final show was also a great performance! The effort the culter center puts out to make you feel at home, I would recommended it to anyone.

The PCC itself was very educational with presentations and shows excellent. Not really a luau, but more of a buffet. Food was just OK, with some things excellent and others not so good.

Reviewed by: Sue, 2008/09/14This was our first time and we really had a good time, the last show was great, the only thing we were not real fond of was the luau dinner, very simple and I wanted to really see how the pig was cooked in the sand. Dinner was not very good. The people there were very very nice to work with. Our driver Chris was also very nice and gave us a lot of information while on the drive.

Great Show

Some of the villages are closed and there is not enough time to do EVERYTHING there is to do, but I could not see staying there all day. The best part is the Horizon's night show; this is FANTASTIC and definately worth it. I feel that the cost is a little high, but it's vacation and this an experience you won't get elsewhere.
