Such a fun day!
Reviewed by: Jen F., 2024/04/13 This was by far the best cruise excursion I have ever participated in, and I’ve done quite a few on Oahu.
Pickup was well organized and on time. The ride out to the boat was pleasant.
The crew in itself felt like family. They were the nicest people, very welcoming and knowledgeable.
Captain even jumped in the water with the kids and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Bbq lunch was great.
We saw manta rays and turtles that came right up to the boat,it was a really wonderful day and I can’t tell them thank you enough.
I will absolutely book this again next time we visit.

Such an Amazing Time!
Reviewed by: ChristinaSteach, 2024/01/18I was set on a tour that stopped at just the Sandbar, my mom insisted we do a tour that went to 2 locations... She was right! The sandbar is awesome and I encourage people to get out and walk around while you're there, play volleyball (if you want) or just enjoy being on land while under about 2 feet of water! Its wild! A Puffer Fish greeted us! She was much bigger than what I thought puffer fish were. We had burgers and drinks and were off to our second location ... the reef!! On our way we saw a bunch of sea turtles! They were HUGE! Some swam right up close to the boat! It was incredible. It was after a mild storm so the water wasn't 100% clear but still fairly clear. There were tons of colorful fish swimming all around us. I took a few mins to swim around the whole reef! Which every time I popped my head up and saw I was further away from the boat was a little scary and exciting! It was such a fantastic adventure day! My mom loved it, my kids were a little afraid at first at the reef but came to love it too! The crew... let me not forget about the crew! They are absolutely amazing! Knowledgeable, friendly,... when my daughter started to cry (9 years old) they knew her name and kept encouraging her! It was the sweetest! My son thought the main guide/lifeguard was the coolest and just wanted to swim where ever he swam (7 years old). The captain on our boat that day was a lady and also super friendly! Highly recommend to all ages and all skill levels! (I had my cell phone with a water protected case - i highly recommend. I purchased mine before the trip from REI, they sold similar ones in the ABC stores in Hawaii.)

Definitely coming back

GREAT trip!

We had a great time and saw a ton of beautiful fish around the reef and even more turtles. We had our one year old son with us and the crew could not have been better and more caring about us having the best possible experience. HIGHLY recommend this tour!!!

Perfect for families!!

My parents really enjoyed their time there. My brother who doesn't know how to swim enjoyed the sandbar!! This tour is literally perfect for all ages and lifestyles. Great experience.

A Must-Do for Locals and Visitors!
Reviewed by: Czarina, 2022/08/05Honestly, my expectations for this tour was not high. Reviews seemed mixed all around (i.e., Yelp, Google, etc.) and what I "really" wanted was the tour that had all the additional activities, i.e., banana boat, stand-up paddle board, but it was completely booked. However, the experience on this specific tour was sooooo much better that I anticipated. I booked the reservation for 17 (14 adults + 3 children), with most visiting from the East Coast mainland with even quite a handful of locals for which this was their first time to Sandbar, and they were more than accommodating to our large party. At first, I thought the time allocation was too short for each excursion (1. Sandbar (1-hr), 2. Turtle watching (15 min.); 3. Snorkeling (1-hr)), but it was perfect! Any longer and it would have felt drawn out. The lunch tasted better than I expected. Not too little and definitely not too much (otherwise the kids would have vomitted!). So don't be discouraged by it JUST being a BBQ burger -- you'll be pleasantly surprised. Drinks were available on board - non-alcoholic (free) and alcoholic ($5 each) and they had quite a variety so don't worry about being parched! The boat staff was super energetic and had a really cool vibe. They informed you ahead of time of all the do's and don'ts and was always available to answer any and all questions and concerns. And lastly, the Captain really made the trip memorable! He was a lot of fun and you just knew he loved his job. The weather was perfect, so that too, helped to make the day. Overall, it was a very memorable experience and I look forward to recommending this tour package to the rest of our family and friends, local and visiting.

First snorkeling for my boys and girls

Perfect family outing

They looked out for everyone’s safety but also made sure folks were having fun. Food was good and they had adult beverages for purchase. Very kid friendly - had child-sized snorkel gear and life jackets. The boat was very clean. Not to mention the beautiful landscape as your backdrop for swimming/snorkeling/turtle-watching…pictures can’t adequately capture just how breathtaking it all was. We didn’t want it to end!

Amazing time for the whole family!!
Reviewed by: Patricia, 2022/03/12As a family of 3 young children (10, 7 and 20 months), we wanted to do at least one excursion on our trip and this was perfect for the 20 month old as she was able to swim in the sandbar! There were no issues taking the 40 minute bus and then the 10 minutes boat ride over to Kaneohe. It was very organized and clean! The staff were very professional and nice and when I emailed the company about bringing my baby’s float, they had no concerns! Kaneohe Sandbar was absolutely breathtaking and so beautiful! We even saw lots of sea turtles! We spent some time in the sandbar to swim and they even set up a volleyball net! They also come around and take pictures for you. While you’re out swimming, the other staff is preparing lunch. The food was pretty good too! Next stop was snorkeling and my husband said it was fun with the kids. They even rinse you off after you’ve finished. Definitely pack extra dry clothes as the bus gets cold - I read a review about that and it came in handy. I am definitely going to recommend this excursion to others.

Clearly the best!

Fun!

Loved the fact that the burgers we had on board were cooked on the grill they had on the boat and weren’t dry.

Highlight of My Trip!

We were able to take our 10 month old and she enjoyed it. We also brought her infant floatie and let her swim at the sandbar. The staff were so friendly and provided great customer service. We originally kept trying to book this tour but saw no availability until I checked the day before leaving for Hawaii and I was so happy we got confirmed to do the tour.

Great time

A highlight of our holiday!

The team looked after us the entire time, from pick up to drop off. The entertainment, the scenic journey, the sandbar, volleyball, the turtles, the snorkelling, the bbq - gosh it was all amazing.

Snorkeling Adventure

This time we decided to try something different and was so glad we all went on Captain Bob's Kaneohe Bay Sandbar Snorkel Adventure & BBQ Lunch Boat Tour.
