Julia was funny and very informative about the area.
The drive over to the marina was absolutely amazing the view was incredible. I’ve never snorkeled before but felt super safe we saw sea turtles and all kinds of fish!! Would highly recommend this outing ️☀️ it was one of the highlights of our trip.
We thought it was really cool that some of our favorite movies were filmed around the area also.
Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean and 50 frost dates. Great memories were made for me and my kids thanks until next time Oahu. Mahalo

Definitely worth it

Pick up from hotel was great, liked that the shuttle bus driver looked for us since we stood on the wrong bus stop. The crew was amazing and very friendly. The co-captain lady was the best. She took her time to show us how to use the snorkel, fit our life vest, gave us drinks. The captain was super friendly as well. The water was warm and clean. The boat was clean, restrooms to use and to change in were clean. Snorkels were clean and easy to use. Burgers was the best and we even had hot chocolate at the end of the swim. They took us to the shallow area first which was great, and then the deeper area, we saw coral reefs, lots of fish, and even sea turtles. It was amazing thing to see.
Only thing is, they didn’t have enough seats to sit outside, so we stayed inside during boat ride, and towards the end of the ride, everyone was cold so mostly everyone went inside, so we had to stand, which is ok, about 10 mins only. Overall, still a very awesome trip and would definitely go again!

Must do on Oahu!

We loved being in the middle of the ocean snorkeling and being on the sand bar. We felt safe each time and had a lot of fun. The staff was wonderful and the food was great as well. Anytime we come to Oahu, Captain Bobs is our go to!

What an AMAZING trip!!!

The trip out to the sandbar was relaxing yet exciting at the same time as we looked back upon the shoreline admiring the greenery that the island presented. The sandbar was just breathtaking!!! It was so amazing to think that we were standing in the ocean on a beach....crazy! The cruise around afterwards presented not only some sea turtles, but two large schools of manta rays feeding on the surface.
Overall trip was completely enjoyable and we plan on bringing all of our friends and family when they visit!!!!
On a side note, parking is extremely difficult in/on the marina, so just park on the side of the highway (everyone does) and it's just a short walk to the boat.
Make this one of your excursions when you visit!!!!!

Awesome experience and wonderful Captains and guides!

The crew did a get job explaining the rules, what to expect, and why. I felt safe and they included everybody and were interactive, very friendly and personable. This was my first time snorkeling, so I was a little nervous, but they put me at ease. It was truly amazing —-we got to see the giant sea turtles!!!
I also saw at least seven or eight different fish along the reef. And I even was swimming with beautiful school of fish below me!
I like the fact that they introduced us at the sandbar and let us get warmed up to snorkeling, and we had a game of volleyball before we went to the reef. They grilled hamburgers and had barbecued beans, and it was a delicious lunch!
all in all it was a great day, and a memory I will always cherish. I highly recommend this activity and tour to anybody going to Hawaii.

The sandbar island adventure!

They supplied the tastiest BBQ burgers with vegan options as well! Our captain was so professional, yet funny, and extremely helpful taking pictures for us, and giving us the best sandbar adventure ever! We played volleyball, snorkeled, and enjoyed cruising around the sandbar. I can't wait to go again!

Amazing day at the sandbar, lots of sea turtles & snorkeling
Reviewed by: Amm, 2023/04/03Upon going to the sandbar for the first time, I decided to give Captain Bob's Kaneohe Bay a try. So glad I did because I had an amazing time on this cruise. All of the employees were super nice and made sure everyone felt safe & comfortable on the cruise. The sandbar was absolutely stunning! The crew set up a volleyball net which allowed for all of us to have a fun match of beach volleyball at the sandbar. Those that didn't want to participate were able to walk around the sandbar at their leisure. I enjoyed that this cruise was away from all of the other cruises and boats in the area. It was like we had our own secluded little area. The food was delicious and afterwards we cruised over to a reef area to snorkel. Along the way, the captain went slow to make sure we got a chance to see all of the sea turtles floating on the surface of the ocean. We saw so many of them! The area we snorkeled in was amazing. I saw so many different kinds of fish and several sea turtles that literally swim right next to us. I had an amazing time and photos to last a lifetime. If you are thinking about doing a cruise to the sandbar, look no further. Would absolutely go again!

Great Family Trip

We made 3 mini stops along the way, first at the sandbar, next at a turtle watching spot and finally snorkeling where we saw 2 turtles and a ton of fish. Highly recommend!!

The best Crew Ever!

Cheeseburger lunch included alcohol to purchase, fee softdrinks water juice. Do this you won't regret a minute.

The day's experience was one of a kind!
Reviewed by: Suzanne, 2023/03/01The day was so fun and easy. The transportation met us at the collection point (and returned us in the afternoon). At the boat jetty, we were welcomed with Alohas. We spent some time on the sandbar to explore, and play a game of volleyball. We then gently motored for some turtle spotting. After that, we were taken to the beautiful coral reef where we snorkelled and flippered around, what a sensation! I thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ and hot chocolate!

Best crew ever!

Wonderful time under the blue sky.

It was the first snorkeling experience for the children, and they seemed nervous, but they were able to try it even in places where they couldn't get their feet on, and they were able to see the fish with their own eyes! The hamburger we ate on board was also exceptional. We had a really valuable experience. thank you very much!

Great Experience.

We made a mistake while making our order, but they were very accommodating and helped us out. The captain and crew were extremely nice and helped set the tone for a good expedition. Quite a few families with kids went along, as well. The captain took time to spend with a young boy, giving him a treat that you could tell made the boy’s day. The trip gives you a great view of the bay, only improved by very a hospitable captain and crew. And we saw lots of turtles! We really appreciated the experience.

Fun and entertaining

The check-in process was smooth and on time. The crew was friendly, professional, and extremely entertaining. Sandbar volleyball was a lot of fun and lunch was delicious. We saw so many sea turtles on our way to the reef. We are beginners and the reef size was perfect for us to go all the way around and see lots of fish and turtles. This was a wonderful experience for our first trip to Hawaii and we would definitely recommend.

Great day on Kaneohe Bay

2nd the crew was great, super friendly, knowledgeable of history of the area old and current.
Professional attitude and service, felt safe and comfortable the entire trip.
3rd we saw a lot of sea turtles from the boat and saw one underwater next to the coral reef snorkeling.
A lots of fish on the reef. Warm fresh water rinse and warm beverages after 90 minute snorkeling period.
Lastly the boat was Captained very well and the mooring was pretty cool to watch. We highly recommend.

Super amazing cruise
