We spent a beautiful time at Mele’s Luau. A very warm welcome with some of their show characters, pictures, some souvenir Leids, good drinks, good food an amazing venue. It was perfect celebration for my 60th Birthday. The show was amazing and so was the customer service.
Thank you for making our time so special and for having us dancing and being part of the show..
Thank you for finding my lost pictures!!

Amazing show and entertainment

Reviewed by: Helen, 2023/01/02

Overall, the event was great! All the employees and entertainers were engaging and so fun to talk to. The storyline was very cute and well put together. Loved that they were able to showcase the different islands and cultures in the pacific. The elements guy, in my opinion, stole the show…what craftsmanship and artistry. We got the parking reservation for $10 and arrived a little after 6pm, the bus pulled in just before and were getting set up with wristbands and we were able to skip that line and go straight to check-in. There we’re pretty-show activities (drawn ink tattoos and instrument/dance lessons), which was great. The food was pretty good, but definitely had the feel of banquet dining. It was the last show of the year (on 12/31) and with the continuous fireworks going off the whole time, it was a celebration!

A great luau on Oahu!

Reviewed by: L.S. Yamanaka, 2022/10/01

My friends and I have been to a number of different luau in Hawaii, but Mele Luau has been the best by far! The food was so delicious, and the show was really good too.

We drove out to the luau from Waikiki, and from the moment we arrived, we were greeted and treated with so much aloha. Everyone was very lovely, and were happy to share their knowledge of hula and tattooing with us before the dinner and show.

And speaking of dinner...it was so good! I went up to the buffet more than once to refill on the Thai green curry and the baked fish, and if I could have eaten more, I would have :P

The show was really enjoyable, and I love that they connected all of the different Polynesian performances with a cute little story, and at the end, the fire knife dance stole the show.

10/10 would definitely recommend!

First time at the Luau and we loved it!!

We all had a great time! The staff are all very friendly and you walk into an amazing live Hawaiian music by talented musicians, which I don't recall seeing from other Luaus. The host is funny, energetic - he was really good at making sure everyone felt welcomed by engaging with them throughout the evening. He goes around each table and talk story with the guests in a fun way, which is something that other Luaus don't have.

There are plenty of activities for all ages to enjoy without having to wait in line. The capacity is just perfect, not too crowded and with enough space between guests tables that you can move around freely while still being able see what’s going on up front at any given time.

They have a great selection of food too! With options for vegetarian guests as well. First time eating quinoa rice and I really liked it!

The show is absolutely amazing! I love how it's not the typical Polynesian Luau Show ~ a Polynesian entertainment with musical theatre feel and love story through dancing! We loved the guy's performances between each island too, which is a surprise! He danced representing the light (fireballs), the ocean (blue moonball) and the wind (squares boxes) - these additions of his phenomenal talent make the Luau stand out from other Luaus too.

The fire knife dance didn't disappoint either! The guys are amazing, very talented!! And their performances over all were awesome!!!

..and oh I loved the partying and dancing afterwards too haha! That was so unexpected and different from other Luaus either! We all went home happy and still dancing while leaving the property. It ended up being so much fun and everyone went away with a smile on their faces.

Souvenir photos are given electronically and I think this is neat! If you want to buy it, you can just download it from your phone (scanned at the site, & they will email too).

Overall a fun experience! I will absolutely recommend this to our friends, and family.
