Pick-up from Waikiki & Check-in at Mele Luau

With a tasty tropical drink in hand, explore the luau grounds and take part in a number of different fun and fascinating Polynesian and Hawaiian cultural activities. You can learn how to dance hula or swing poi balls, see how pareos are tied, and even get small temporary Hawaiian tattoo!

With its roots in ancient Hawaii, the imu is a traditional Hawaiian underground oven used to slow roast pork, veggies, and other types of food using only heated lava rock and moistened ti leaves. Watch as the professionals at Mele Luau remove a whole roasted pig from the imu in an amazing display.

Depending on your booked package, you can either head to the buffet line or have the waitstaff bring you some of the many delicious dishes that have been expertly crafted for the evening luau. From traditional Hawaiian recipes to modern Pan-Pacific cuisine, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Be swept away by the incredible Mele Luau performers, many who have been dancing hula and other Polynesian dances for almost all of their lives. You will be taken on a journey through the islands as you watch the hula, Tahitian ori, and of course, the bombastic and thrilling Samoan fire knife dance.
