Fun Facts
◆ When you stop by Holona Blowhole Lookout, you can see Halona Beach Cove on the West side. This little beautiful cove is famous for one of the scene in the movie “From Here to Eternity” in 1953. This beach is nicknamed Eternity Beach.

◆ Nuuanu Pali is not only famous for its awesome view, it's also a very important place in Hawaiian history. King Kamehameha I had his last battle here in 1795 to unite the Hawaiian Islands. Over the course of the battle, over 400 warriors were driven off the 1,000-ft high Pali cliffs.

    Drive through two local suburbs, Kahala and Hawaii Kai, where many celebrities have vacation homes. Hawaii Kai used to be a flatland with shallow fishponds, but was developed by the billionaire Henry J. Kaiser.
  • Hanauma Bay Lookout (15 min.)
    Oahu_Hanauma Bay_shutterstock_586070606-1 Hanauma Bay is a marine nature preserve and the most popular snorkeling location in Oahu. Located next to Koko Head Crater, Hanauma Bay forms a sheltered beach that holds a protected reef that is teeming with fish.
  • Halona Blowhole Lookout
    Oahu_Halona_Blowhole_shutterstock_151068428 Halona Blowhole is a natural blowhole created by molten lava tubes from ancient volcanic eruptions. On a clear day, you will be able to see the islands of Molokai and Lanai in the distance.
  • Makapuu Point
    southeast IMG_9275 From Makapuu Lookout you can see two islands: The larger one is Manana ("Rabbit Island") and the smaller is Kaohikaipu, a State Bird Sanctuary. This is a very popular spot for whale watching between December and April. Nearby are also Makapuu Tide Pools and Makapuu Lighthouse.
