1st time Parasailing
Reviewed by: Michelle , 2021/06/28This was my family’s first time in Hawaii and first time parasailing. Let me first say how the booking experience was amazing. The day of our parasail adventure we checked in at the booth. The young lady working that morning was so helpful and had great customer service. When I checked in she explained the 2 pieces of paperwork each adult had to sign. Her phone rang handled her business with the customer on the phone and then apologized and thanked me for being patient. Next she explained everything we needed to know, where we needed to wait etc. Check in process smooth and straight to the point. Then our boat arrives I forgot the young mans name but he was so awesome. Captain Mac I believe his name was, was also amazing. What to expect was clearly explained, directions clearly explained and a sense of humor made our first time parasailing all worth it. Definitely a memory that will not be forgotten. Book with Xtreme an experience you won’t forget !!!!

Amazing!!

They loved the staff and how fun they were!! I came on as a spectator and I loved the boat ride and being able to be there with my little family seeing them so EXCITED!! Loved the pictures we bought ! They were amazing!!! Next trip .. I'm booking another one !!!

Amazing Experience

They were not aware, but I've recently lost almost 80lbs, so I've never been able to do this activity with my family before, I was nervous. They were so calm and their instructions were clear. I had the most amazing experience and cannot imagine not doing it again! Buy the photos!!! They are soooo worth it!

Best/First Time Parasailing

It was a great family experiance
Reviewed by: Bob in PA, 2012/08/10We had a beautiful afternoon for our parasailing adventure. The bus picked up right on time at the location specified. There were three of us in our party plus another mom and her son. Two crew members for a total of 7 on board the boat. The crew of 2 were very friendly and made us all feel at ease. Waters were pretty smooth considering our adventure started at 3pm.
The guys did have trouble deploying the parasail as the cords kept on tangling as they delpoyed it. Sort of made us feel a little uneasy, but you could tell the crew had experianced this issue before as it was quite windy and they did not get flustered at all. We all joked a little about the situation which made the time go by pretty quick. After the 3rd attempt, we were good to go. The views were wonderful and my wife and daughter and I all enjoyed our rides, one tandem and one single. The boat captain and the guy in charge of strapping everyone in were very skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone was punctual and professional. I went with my husband and father and they were happy to let us ride all together. We were 550 pounds all together and were slightly over the limit but they weren't remotely worried about it. We purchased the 850ft rope and I wish I had gone with the 1000ft. I was worried about the height but it was great! We had things going on later in the day and asked for a "dry landing", they did AWESOME. I wore shorts and a t-shirt but was prepared with extra clothes if I did get wet... (and I really expected to...) but despite the STRONG winds and high waves we were hitting they easily provided us what we asked. One thing though, if you have a sensitive stomach, don't forget the motion sickness pills - the water was a bit choppy the morning we went.

Parasailing in Oahu

The time in the boast went by so fast but when I was up in the air, the time seemed to stand still. The ride is very peaceful and the views are outstanding. I didn't even mind the dunk in the ocean on our way down to the boat.
The value of the activities was very high, especially considering the discounted price we received at Hawaii Activities.

Our favorite day of the summer
Reviewed by: SoCalMom, 2010/08/19This ride is sooooo much fun. Anyone can do it. Don't think you are too skinny or too fat. Either way you are getting a great ride. We even saw a guy that weighed 290 ride with a guy who was 240. Over 500 pounds and up they went like they were butterflies. The day we went the waves were choppy and it caused a little sea sickness for a couple of us but other than that we had an outstanding time.Our group had teens, 20's, 40's and 50's. Everyone screamed for joy. It was a great time.

Kids loved it
Reviewed by: tessinHI, 2010/07/09Kids (aged 14 and 15) went up while my 11 year old and I rode along. Seas were a little choppy, but not horrible, yet I still got a little motion sickness. The crew took awesome care of me and showed genuine concern. They took nice photo's of the experience (not of me, thanks) for the kids to enjoy. Huge success for the kids, but if you think you might get the least bit of a queasy stomach, take a pill before boarding! :)

Everything went well, from the online registration to on site check in to the parasailing itself. What really made the trip for us were the two guys that ran the show. They were friendly, polite and put you at ease right away. They totally made the experience. We got the photos and are so glad we did - they turned out great and captured the experience even better than we hoped.

Awesome Would do it again!
Reviewed by: jeannette, 2010/06/26I was really scared to do this but my 14 year old son wanted to try it. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and professional with the equipment. They are also really funny and nice. They tell you exactly what you need to do. It was fabulous! We had the best time, and loved the experience. The crew is great. They will even take pictures for you for an extra fee of $15 (you take the film home.) Don't forget to bring money for a tip. You don't really need the extra towels, change of clothes, and you can buy water there. If I return to Hawaii I will do this again!

Lots of fun, but not long enough!
Reviewed by: OahuFamilyTrip, 2010/04/12This was a great time for us, BUT the rides are not even CLOSE to the times they advertise. I would not waste your money upgrading to any of the other rides. I timed all three of my wife's and kids rides and they were actually less than 5 minutes from the time they left the back deck til they touched down again. No where near the 10-12 minutes advertised for the Deluxe Ride. They probably did go a little higher than they 850 ride, but the duration was exactly the same.
The ride is great, the people were nice, but the trip is not as advertised.

Freaking OUTSTANDING!
Reviewed by: Kelly Goad, 2009/06/04I love these people! This was the greatest. We reserved 2 for parasailing and 2 observers on the boat. Getting the confirmations online was easy. The directions to the pick-up was simple to find. They picked us up and delivered us back to our hotel. The parasailing itself was da bomb! Our driver and his co-worker were most awesome and very friendly. They did NOT make you give them a tip; you wanted to. They deserve every penny they make! Quite frankly, I could have spent all days with these guys; they were so much fun. It's a quick ride, but the most fun EVER. If you do not do this, you're crazy!

Like having dinner at a nice restaurant where the waiter recommends/demand to know the amount of your intended tip before he/she recommending the catch of the day.
the blatant tip demand unfortunately tainted an othewise nice activity. We did tip and would have without the demand for tip, but the demand made me feel unwelcome. wouldnt come back only because of that.
other than that it was as advertised and enjoyable. maybe you dont care or want repeat business. mike.

Awesome Experience

I thought it would be scary, but in actuality it was a very relaxing experience that I'll never forget. If you listen to the instructions the crew give you, your ride up and back down will be smooth and comfortable. Once in the air, you will experience a wonderful peace as you float high above the water.
I would highly recommend this activity to a wide range of people. We had a 3rd grader and a 62 year old on our boat, and each of them LOVED their parasailing experience. The crew was fun and put every one who was a little nervous at ease with their years of experience and humorous comments. Tipping was optional, and in no way did the crew make me feel like I HAD to tip. I was, however, happy to tip them for the great job they did!

Just there to make a quick buck!!
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/01/28We paid for the Deluxe package which is $20 more than the Standard package in order to go up to a higher height, and for 5 minutes more of flying (than the standard's 8 min). Well when we went out no matter what package you purchased, you only got 5 minutes in the air. TOTAL RIP OFF!! AND to top it off, by the end of the trip the 2 workers ASKED FOR $20 tips from everyone!! The actual flying was fun, but they should give you what you pay for.

Parasailing X-treme on Oahu
Reviewed by: bjmon, 2007/06/28Our overall experience was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The boat ride was very smooth and fun. The parasailing liftoff/landing was very gentle and easy from the back of the boat.
You have the option of getting dunked, which we did, and it was a blast.
There ws another family on the boat with us that 1/2 didnot want to get dunked and the other 1/2 just wanted to get their feet wet; our driver was so good that he dunked them just to their ankles; it was a perfect feet dunk.
