What kind of experience do the guides have?
  • All of the guides are local, born and bred Hawaiians who have heard these stories and legends since childhood. Some of them are teachers and are both well-educated and well-versed in documented haunted Hawaiian history.
If the tour becomes too much for me to handle is there a safe place for me to disengage and wait?
  • If the tour content becomes too much for you, you will be taken to a safe place where you call for a taxi or catch a bus, which would be at your own expense. Buses in the tour area are rare in the evening so taxi's are recommended.
What are "orbs"?
  • Orbs are believed to be ghosts or spirits in the form of balls of light.
What is the difficulty level of this activity?
  • The Honolulu City Haunts Tour would be the only option suitable for people with mobility problems as the other two tours require walking on uneven ground and over fallen branches and trees. If you are in a wheelchair, you will need to meet the City Tour at the palace.
How far in advance should I book this activity?
  • We recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.
Can I wear a Halloween costume for the Graveyard Shift Tour?
  • Yes, costumes are encouraged for festive Halloween fun! Please wear closed toed shoes for safety. Costumes that impede vision or cause tripping are prohibited.
