Kualoa Ranch Movie Tour was a great value and experience (Tour Guide Haydn)
Reviewed by: Riverside CA Family, 2021/12/24The experience was more than worth the price paid for admission. If you’re loaded and wealthy with a family of five, then yeah spend on the ATV experience. But this 90 minute bus tour was well worth the money. Our tour guide, Haydn, was awesome! We’ve been on a number of guided tours in Hawaii and Haydn is energetic, funny and knowledgable. He even offers to take great family photos or individual pictures, too! I don’t know of any tour guides that will do that. I own an RV, so driving around and talking would be difficult, especially at this ranch. Haydn does a great job navigating turns and difficult terrain. He manages to do this while cracking jokes and recalling detailed information and trivia. This tour stops and allows passengers to get out and take great pictures. You still have access to look around the grounds including the ranch history exhibit, horses, and gift shop. This tour is highly recommended.

Beautiful Ranch

The tour was beautiful! I’d say my favorite part was the Farm tour. They showed us some beautiful nature moments and we got to taste some of the food. The Jungle keep expedition would’ve been my favorite part however the portion where they visit the bunker was quite unsophisticated and it really cheapened the experience for me. It was extremely dated and looks like it hasn’t been changed in a decade or two. There we’re some portions we’re it looked like an artists graffitied some movie art to make a section exciting but in my opinion it looked unprofessional and naive.
The charm of the ranch is the beautiful moments in nature and the warm stuff. All the staff were so sweet and caring! However, if your going for the movie portions, it’s not really as sophisticated as you’d hope. For example the skull mountain bones have been taken apart by visitors of past and don’t look as good as they did in the films.
Overall I really enjoyed myself and would recommend all to visit! I just wish there movie portions we’re more sophisticated and were updated with technology of this decade.

Awesome Tours

Tours and tour guides are awesome!
Reviewed by: Wendy Chitwood , 2021/11/02The ultimate package gave us 3 tours and lunch! We loved the Aloha Aina tour, learning about the land the plants, birds and all the agriculture. We enjoyed the hawaiian snacks, learning about the taro, the fish ponds and raising oystes and shrimp. The Hollywood movie tour had fun learning about different movies filmed on the ranch. The Jungle tour was awesome for the views and historical Hawaiian stories of how the ranch came to be what it is today! LUNCH was yummy! Each guide was very informative and always safety first oriented.. Thank you Kualoa Ranch !

Beautiful Fun

The ranch was absolutely beautiful and the gift shop had plenty of affordable souvenirs! We will definitely visit again to do different tours.

Great tour

Awesome Family Experience

Our trip to Hawaii

They took us around the movie/tv sets and told us the story behind the ranch, we loved it, specially the views of the ocean when we were in the highest level of the ranch, this is a must see when in Hawaii, I already recommend this place to my friends and family, they will love it as well... for sure we will go again to a different activity when we come back to Hawaii

Bus Movie Tour
Reviewed by: Moy, 2021/09/10I booked the movie bus tour a day before the actual tour. All the other tours on the ranch had been booked. I was desperate to visit Kualoa Ranch. I really wanted to do the ATV tour. I wasn’t expecting it to be very good because they still had seats available. All the other tours were booked well into next week. Boy was I wrong. The tour was amazing our tour guide Stephanie also the driver was funny and engaging. She explained all the movie set and gave us a history lesson about how the ranch and land came to be. We even saw the owner of the ranch who drove but us. Two thumbs up highly recommended best tour I took so far in Hawaii.

A Jurassic Experience
Reviewed by: Alissa, 2021/08/27Allow yourself plenty of time to get to the ranch especially if you are taking public transportation (and especially if you do not take public transportation often and are prone to taking the right bus # in the wrong direction lol). We luckily made it JUST on time for out tour. The tour itself was fun! The tour guide had lots of random facts about the ranch, different movies that had be filmed there, and different events that had been held there. There was even a movie being filmed at the time and we got to see a few minutes of it in action. The tour bus was just an old school bus with no glass in the windows which would have been find but it rained, hard. The good news is the tour guide did have a supply of rain ponchos! The best part by far was the views, you had an amazing view of a more rural side of the island and you could see China Man's hat from there as well. There were also some great photo opps!

Tour guide was excellent!

Jungle Jeep Tour

Service: the staff were super nice and knowledgeable. They showed real interest in thwir jobs, always asked to help with taking pictures.
Quality: tour quality was top notch. We got to do a nice little hike, saw different movie sets, and had lots of time to take pictures. It was a bumpy ride but fun
Cleanliness: restrooms are very clean. They were the big portable ones that get parked. In California one of those would be the most disgusting thing, you would rather hold it in. But here it was so clean and everything was well kept.
Overall: highly recommend this tour. I would suggest getting the all around tour though if you have the time

Great Adventure! LOVED, Stephanie!

Hollywood movies sites tour leaves much to be desired

I expected from the pictures to have more interaction with the sets, particularly for jurassic park for which a picture is prominently posted next the movie site tour online and even in the review panel. In reality they used the movie tour to try and up sell you to go on other tours where you can do what was in their pictures. Even if this were ok its a mute point as the up sold tours were not available even if you wanted to go on them. Really disappointed and feel a bit lied to. Beautiful location, otherwise i missed everything i actually wanted and expected to see.
