Horse back riding

Walk along the beach
Reviewed by: Beach walk, 2023/07/28Destination was easy to find. The guides were very attentive and got us all on the horses fairly quickly. I've never really ridden a horse before so I was a bit nervous of maneuvering my horse but she was a go getter so I didn't have to try too hard. We all rode in a line which was very easy. We had to stop a few times which my horse hated, I got a very impatient horse which I don't blame her. Kinda wished we went a quicker pace but then that would shorten our trip which was 1.5hrs which .5 of that was loading and unloading the horses. I wish the trail was a bit longer. The area was beautiful and quiet which I like. I got some good pictures. We used my step daughters phone for the group pictures cause she had a better camera but when she sent me the pics they came out blurry and I don't get to see her often. Was a little disappointed but it was OK. Technical error. Overall great experience and got to feed the horses treats in the end.

Lovey gentle evening ride
Reviewed by: Sara, 2023/03/07The ladies that took us on our ride were absolutely delightful. They were thorough about safety and just lovely to talk to. They obviously care very much for the horses and know them well.
The evening was beautiful despite the risk of rain and the timing was perfect to have photos with the sunset behind us.
My only negative was that it was advertised as a 90 minute ride and it was only 60 minutes.

Worth it
Reviewed by: Wes M., 2022/11/06We really enjoyed the trail ride. The staff was friendly and the group was small. The scenery was the best part. I will admit I thought we would be riding in the sand and the water but that was not the case. Most of the ride was on a trail behind the actual beach but you still got a great view of the beach. This is a basic and slow ride and the horses basically walk themselves. It was expensive but the memories are worth ii.

Nice but left us wanting
Reviewed by: Dogmom1980, 2022/11/05The ladies who worked there were nice and friendly. The horses seemed well cared for. It was a nice ride but we would have preferred a little faster. It was Super slow. And they made us wear a helmet which we thought was not necessary, especially with how slow we went. Also it would have looked better in the pictures without the helmet. So overall, for the price, we really would have liked these things mentioned. A little disappointed unfortunately. But it was nice and peaceful.

Relaxing beach ride.
Reviewed by: Laura, 2022/10/10We enjoyed our horseback ride on the beach. The scenery was beautiful, the ride easy. It wasn't 2 hours as advertised, closer to 1 hour 40 minutes, but still a nice ride. They make you wear helmets which I wish was optional because I didn't feel they were necessary since we only walked the horses and the horses were very gentle. It would have been nice if we could have run the horses, but with beginner riders on the trip I understand that that was not an option and they let you know it's walking only. Our guide Ella was very friendly. Overall we were pleased with the ride.

Wonderful experience ever
Reviewed by: Fang, 2022/05/25I have 0 experience in riding horses, and this place just make my first horse ride amazing. Had little nerves before riding it, and soon I got on its back; I feel comfortable and relaxed. Horses are well trained and in good behavior all the time. The guild is friendly as well. She introduced lots of things along the trip and taking care of each of the riders if they need help.
Overall, if you are first time riding the horse, you don't need to worry about it, it's 100% safe, and you will get relaxed after a couple of mins.

First experience

They made sure to have a safety demo in the beginning prior to jumping on to be sure everyone was safe and comfortable enough to ride. Nice peaceful scenery and the breeze off of the ocean made the horseback riding extremely relaxing. Towards the end of the tour, we also stopped to take some pics on the beach with the horses!! Our tour guide Becca was the BEST! Definitely will go back and make sure to request her as our tour guide again.

Sunset riding

Enjoyable ride
Reviewed by: Brian, 2018/08/02The ride was good. None of us have ever ridden a horse on the beach, so it was a new experience. I haven't spent more than 20 minutes on a horse before this, more than a decade ago, so it was almost all new to me. We liked how the leader stopped us on the beach and took nice photos of us to remember the ride. The reason I didn't give a perfect score was that I think the leader of the ride needed to be more aware of the riding skill of the people she was leading and give advice on how to improve instead of just telling us what not to do.

LaidBack Trail

It's more of a quick trail ride on the forest area with a view of the beach, but obviously that's not the guides fault. Great for a first time experience!

North Shore Beach Horseback Ride

Riding on the North Shore

We could have done without the trailblazing through prickers. We could see the ocean the whole time though and saw whales breaching in the distance.

Couples horse backriding on North Shore
Reviewed by: anonymous, 2014/03/03We both are experience riders so it was a little tame for us. All you do is get to walk the horses. But it was a beautiful relaxing ride. You dont get to ride right on the beach, but more on the edge of the sand duns and through a field of flowers. Our guide was excellent and the horses are very well trained and friendly. They do show you a brief demonstration on how to guide your horse with the reins as they are polo ponies and not your traditional western horses. And as a safety precaution every one wears a helmet. Overall, it was a nice ride.

Beach Ride as Promised!!!
Reviewed by: Familyof4, 2012/02/08This horse ride was all it was promised to be!! We rode on the beach for a good long time! My family and I were looking to do horseback riding that wasn't just on a land trail. Staff was friendly and helpful.
A little more expensive compared to the other locations on the island, but the horses are wonderful and location by the beach makes it even better!

Saddle up
Reviewed by: M Ramsburg, 2011/10/15The ride itself was very nice along the beach area. I was a first time rider and the staff work with me providing instructions on controlling the horse, so don't be afraid to try this experience if you have never rode a horse.
The only difficulty is that we were staying in Waikiki and the event took place on the North Shore. There is no transportation options offered by the event, but we rented a car for the day and were able to tour more of the island following the ride.
Overall, I highly recommend this activity.
