Please Note: All divers, certified and beginner, must be able to complete the PADI Medical Release Form. If you answer "yes" to any of the questions on this medical questionnaire, you must bring a note from your doctor clearing you to scuba dive.

  • 08:00-08:45 Pick-up from Ko Olina Hotels & Resorts
  • 08:30 Check-in at Waianae Harbor
  • 09:00 Scuba Overview (1 hr)
    Before even getting in the water, your expert instructor will familiarize you with all of the essential knowledge you will need to safely utilize the scuba equipment. There is a maximum of six students per instructor, guaranteeing hands-on training for all participants.
  • 10:00 Shallow Water Practice (30 mins)
    Hawaii Nautical 08 Before the real dive, you will have an opportunity to get comfortable with the open water in a shallow area with a maximum depth of 40 feet. Your instructor will be with you every step of the way to answer questions.
  • 10:30 Boat Ride to Dive Site (30 mins)
    280743 The boat ride to the dive site will give you a chance to chat with your fellow divers and enjoy the views of coast from the open water. Your captain will determine the best dive site for the day en route.
  • 11:00 Scuba Dive (30 mins)
    Hawaii Nautical 04 Here's your chance to experience an authentic scuba dive over open water. Swim with tropical fish around coral formations or seek out interesting wreckage forgotten on the sea floor.
  • 11:30 Boat Ride Back to Harbor (30 mins)
    Relax on board and take it all in; you've just done an authentic scuba dive in Hawaii's famous blue waters.
  • 12:00-13:00 Check-out & Drop-off
    • Guests may not fly within 12 hours of a one-tank scuba dive due to the high risk of decompression sickness. 
    • Guests with exhaustion are not permitted to participate in this activity.
    • Guests with heart and cardiovascular issues are not permitted to participate in this activity.
    • Guests who are pregnant are not permitted to participate in this activity.
    • This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
    • Children 10 years old and above can participate in scuba.
    • Children 4 years old and above can participate as a "Ride Along."
    • For safety reasons, guests must be able to communicate effectively in English to participate in this activity.

    • Please do not consume any alcohol and get plenty of sleep the night before the activity.

Do I need to be able to swim to scuba?
  • Although you do not need to be a strong swimmer, it is recommended that you be comfortable in the water.
Is scuba diving experience or certification required to participate?
  • No, you do not need to have prior scuba experience or certification for the introductory dive.
What will I see underwater?
  • You will see a variety of marine life underwater. This may include tropical fish, turtles, eels and other aquatic creatures.
How far in advance should I book this activity?
  • We recommend booking at least 5-6 days in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute bookings are often possible, but availability is limited.
