Lovely area to visit
Reviewed by: Lea, 2024/02/19We did enjoy the tour but I felt like we missed out a little as we were sat on the right side and all the good views were to the left and when we paused to look at a view, I wasn’t able to capture any good photos because it was just everyone else on the left side of the bus with their cameras out. Just wish I knew before getting on and I would’ve sat on the left side that’s all. Otherwise it was really good, wish it lasted longer and the driver/guide was funny and informative

Ranch Tour
Reviewed by: Maggiee, 2023/11/04Fully enjoyed the ranch tour. We did the Jurassic valley movie tour in open wi Dow bus. Our guide was fantastic, engaging with everyone and very informative. Helping out taking group photos for everyone that asked. We watched groups go by in the jeep tours which also looked like they would be a lot of fun.

Jungle Tour/ Movie Tour

Funny, informative and we were captivated from the moment we sat in the seats and took off , until we returned back to where we started. It was the highlight of our tour experience. I would give this tour an outstanding rating!
Unfortunately the next tour was a huge disappointment, the movie tour.
While it was interesting seeing the cardboard signs where all the movies took place, there were little if no remaining evidences that any movie ever were filmed there. That was my mistake as the driver explained that all props must be removed.
Our driver mentioned immediately that he had “ deadpan humor” which sorely missed the mark. While he was knowledgeable and his information was interesting, his style of presentation was filled with unnecessary repetitive words “Also here within here collectively also here “ . My suggestion would be to work on simplifying the dialogue to keep the.audience engaged. Sadly, we decided to leave after the tour missing the last tour we had paid for.

Adventurous, learning, and entertaining!

Great experience at the ranch, but drive yourself if you can.
Reviewed by: Anonymous, 2022/12/17We did the Jungle expedition, movie sets and agriculture tours. The guides at the ranch were great. The ranch itself is beautiful. We learned a lot of interesting facts about Polynesian culture, what’s grown on the ranch and got to try a few foods while on the agriculture tour. I took a star off because the bus driver was kind of a jerk. He complained about the other driver and belittled us for not laughing at his jokes or wanting to interact with his aggressive attempt at a side show on the way to the ranch. One lady did attempt to interact with him by asking a question and he got angry with her. No one attempted to engage with him after that. On the ride back to Waikiki he didn’t speak and hurried people off at their stops.

Majestic landscapes

We were fortunate not to have rain, while on our expedition, however clouds in the background of this majestic mountainous views made it more incredible to look at.
I liked seeing the cattle alond the landscape, I expected a huge dinosaur come out of the lush vegetation and help itself to a tasty meal.
We had a great tour guide, we truly enjoyed her narrative description and related stories about the Ranch, plus her recomendation for after hours food locations on our way back to civilization.
It wasn't Debbie. 11-3-22 started at 12:20 PM.

Hollywood movies
Reviewed by: Jean , 2022/08/30La prise en charge, l’accueil, le circuit tout était très bien. Le chauffeur nous donnait des renseignements intéressants. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Seule petit bémol le bus n’était pas très confortable et j’ai quelques petites douleurs au dos. J’ai aussi acheté la photo bien que j’ai trouvé le prix exorbitant. En tout état de cause je conseille cette activité.

Beautiful Ranch

The tour was beautiful! I’d say my favorite part was the Farm tour. They showed us some beautiful nature moments and we got to taste some of the food. The Jungle keep expedition would’ve been my favorite part however the portion where they visit the bunker was quite unsophisticated and it really cheapened the experience for me. It was extremely dated and looks like it hasn’t been changed in a decade or two. There we’re some portions we’re it looked like an artists graffitied some movie art to make a section exciting but in my opinion it looked unprofessional and naive.
The charm of the ranch is the beautiful moments in nature and the warm stuff. All the staff were so sweet and caring! However, if your going for the movie portions, it’s not really as sophisticated as you’d hope. For example the skull mountain bones have been taken apart by visitors of past and don’t look as good as they did in the films.
Overall I really enjoyed myself and would recommend all to visit! I just wish there movie portions we’re more sophisticated and were updated with technology of this decade.

A Jurassic Experience
Reviewed by: Alissa, 2021/08/27Allow yourself plenty of time to get to the ranch especially if you are taking public transportation (and especially if you do not take public transportation often and are prone to taking the right bus # in the wrong direction lol). We luckily made it JUST on time for out tour. The tour itself was fun! The tour guide had lots of random facts about the ranch, different movies that had be filmed there, and different events that had been held there. There was even a movie being filmed at the time and we got to see a few minutes of it in action. The tour bus was just an old school bus with no glass in the windows which would have been find but it rained, hard. The good news is the tour guide did have a supply of rain ponchos! The best part by far was the views, you had an amazing view of a more rural side of the island and you could see China Man's hat from there as well. There were also some great photo opps!

Kualoa Ranch Movie Tour, Oahu.

The lunch buffet was very good. Souvenir shop was not over priced and a lot of memories to take home. Friendly and helpful staff. We will go again next year as we are already booked to return to your beautiful island home.

Really great day out
Reviewed by: AnneKaren, 2020/01/30This tour was really good, the tour guides were full of humour and fun stories to tell, the vehicles were comfortable and the tours well done. (Would've like just a -little- more time in some of the places (not a lot, just 2-3 more minutes maybe)).
But I would definitely recommend this full day tour to anyone, there's something for everyone at Kualoa Ranch.
VELTRA deserves praise too, I got a voucher from a friend and had trouble redeeming it, contacted VELTRA on Facebook and was told I had to call to book the tour and they would add my voucher. As I didn't have a working phone available they managed to transform the voucher into points and add them to my VELTRA account. I was then free to use it for this booking. Thank you for making it so easy for me :-)

A Royal Experience

My wife and I enjoyed the tour and picnic lunch, the guide was both helpful and informative. Although we have done other ranch tours on previous visits this was the first time we had a composite tour and enjoyed seeing parts we had not seen previously. We highly recomend this tour and found it value for money.
