Have you ever had purple pancakes with purple syrup?

That was our first food to try. They were amazing! Washed it down with a taro latte and we were off to the next stop. Oxtail soup was up next. It is my new favorite! I could have stayed there but there were more places to go and food to eat. Our guide, Ryan, was well versed in the food history and traditions of the area. He was fun and friendly and quickly became our new best friend. Loco moco, garlic chicken, poke, spam musubi ... I thought I was going to burst! But it was all so good! We ended with the best shaved ice I've ever had. We have gone back to a few of the restaurants since because of the quality of the food. Thank you so much Ryan!

Chinatown Tour

Loved it! The food was great! The Pig and the Lady was the groups favorite restaurant. There were 4 of us, and all ages ranging from 12 to 69 years old and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

We would do the other tours that this company provides.

Great food, helpful guide, useful local knowledge

I took the Local Eats Ala Moana Area Hawaii Food Tour in August 2016. There were only four people plus the guide in our group. The cafes, bars and delis we visited weren't fancy but the food was superb and interesting. The guide was friendly and shared a wealth of local knowledge about the best places to buy food as well as eating out. I returned to several later during my vacation and will do so again in future.
