Hawaiin Trip Must Do-- Parasailing!
Reviewed by: PDouble, 2022/07/24This was my second parasailing adventure, and like my first time the experience didn't disappoint. The captain and his first mate were helpful, friendly and even humorous. They explained the rules and expectations but kept it light and fun. The boat ride out to sea was a little choppy but the views of the crystal blue waters and the Waikiki skyline during parasailing were as advertised. The only ding I'd give the tour is around the logistics for the meeting location. The address provided wasn't precise enough for our Uber driver so we ended up getting dropped off a few hundred yards from the expected meeting point.

What an experience!
Reviewed by: Gina , 2022/01/30Wow! Everyone in Hawaii needs to go parasailing! My boyfriend and I did the 1000ft parasail and it was amazing. Our guides who were loads of fun really made it a cool experience. They take pictures for you that you can purchase for $35 that come on an SD card. The process of parasailing was quite simple. You step into some straps, sit down on the end of the boat and they clip two clips on and then BOOM YOU ARE OFF into the sky! You gradually get higher and it is so serene up in the sky. Literally breathtaking. After 6-7 minutes of flying, they lower you down and dip you into the water (for fun lol). So be careful if you are wearing glasses/sunglasses. You’ll get a nice cup of salt water tea!

The only thing is the pictures- we were a part of 6 and the pictures that I got were the same over and over again. The pictures are not worth it. Also I would advise to give dramamine to anyone in your party with the most minimal motion sickness.

One of the highlights of my trip!

Only downfall was we went to purchase photos and the lady at the front desk said that we didn't have any on the sd cards. All n all a great experience! Would definitely recommend it!

Great experience, wish the photos could have been better.

The 2 guides were great!
The parasailing experience was great with fantastic views all around. The only downside was that since the wind was towards the direction of the sun, all the photos were just silhouettes and our faces couldn't be seen. This is nothing against the company, who were great :)

Parasailing was unreal, highly recommend!

There is a lot of to-ing and fro-ing as each duo has their turn parasailing. You get about 10mins up there but you're on the boat for an hr while everyone else has their turn. I loved it

Amazing experience

Too bad I got motion sickness on the boat while we waited for other patrons to sail. If you're sensitive like me, take dramamine an hour before you sail. The staff was as accommodating as can be expected in the middle of the ocean! The photos captured are amazing and well worth the extra $30.

Amazing view
Reviewed by: estoby, 2015/09/06We're tourists from Japan and tried this activity for our first time. We safely enjoyed the whole time including shuttle bus. The driver was always joking and very kind to us. Instructors in boat were really nice and reliable guys. After all, the view from sky was quite fabulous at all. it deserves to experience it.
Some of them took movies using their own water proof camera, like Go pro. It seems it's allowed if you fasten it firmly on life jacket.(Basically it's cautioned to put your belongings on the boat before the take of parasailing to keep them from dropping in water)
Lastly, you can take towels if necessary according to temperature. You'll get some wet and it might be bit cold depending on the season.(It was totally comfortable to us because it's August!)

Crew great and good experience but very quick

Fun activity with great views!
Reviewed by: Samantha, 2015/01/06What a fun and must-do activity in Oahu! The courtesy pickup van arrived about thirty minutes before our ride right in front of our hotel. The driver, Greg, was funny and knowledgeable about the area, and offered us advice on restaurants and culture.
We boarded the boat with a couple of other groups, with plenty of room to spare. There were cubbies under the seats to keep our clothes and other possessions dry while riding. Most of us went on the 800 foot line, and the views from the top were stunning: deep teal waters and the gorgeous honolulu skyline! On the descent, the captain dipped us into the water, which was very refreshing. However, you can also choose to remain dry. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting!

Great way to see shoreline.
Reviewed by: Joc, 2014/12/20I've been to Oahu three times and it seems like I'm always on the shore looking out at the water. It was really great to see the Waikiki Beach this way. We showed up at the sign in at the marina 15 minutes early and the lady manning the desk was nice and courteous. The two gentlemen manning the boat were personable. We ended up going out with two other couples. We were the first to go amd it was kind of a rush to be first. Especially since I have never been parasailing and I didn't know what to expect on lift off. Our ride lasted 8 minutes and it was more than enough to take our own pictures with a GoPro and enjoy view and how peaceful it was. As we were pulled in we were dipped in the water which I didn't know was going to happen (which I think you can request to skip) but it was fun. Overall something I would recommend for sure if you have never been parasailing and if you haven't seen the coastline fri, the water.

The crew acted with a friendly attitude and professionalism always ensuring our safety.
It was an extremely exciting thing as you are slowly pulled upwards off the boat into the sky. It is a weird feeling but one that is definitely worth it. We did the 800ft one, it was a little disappointing that we were only in the air for a short period of time, but ultimately it did not detract from a great experience. I would recommend parasailing for all who venture to Waikiki as a great adventure.

Great experience
Reviewed by: Andy, 2014/12/02We went parasailing with Hawaiian Parasail during our vacation in Hawaii. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is going to Hawaii. We were picked up right on time. We arrived at the boat and were given brief instructions, after which we set off in the boat. Although we were all slightly nervous, the staff did a great job of setting us at ease and explaining what to expect. Soon thereafter, we were in the sky and getting a great view of Hawaii. We also had the opportunity to get pictures taken.
Overall a great and fun experience.

a view with a little adventure
Reviewed by: Joe, 2014/07/15we opted for convenient pickup from our hotel which arrived on time however if you choose to drive - the parking lot seemed empty at the marina. The crew was super friendly and it was a short ride out to open water. Plenty of photo opportunities for Waikiki Beach, surfers and Diamond Head as you had in and out. It wasn't long until the parachute was out and we're up in the air. We did 800 foot line. It's exhilarating yet peaceful up there with great views of the entire island. We were only up there for a few minutes. The crew does take 15-30 pictures while you're up there and will sell it to you for $30 on 4GB SD, which I recommend against it if you already have a GoPro or waterproof camera. Overall I'll say it was a great experience and I do recommend it during your stay.
We'll definitely do this again but with the 1000/1200 foot line.
