In the aftermath of the tragic events that occurred on Maui on August 8th, 2023, tours and activities in the West Maui towns of Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kapalua and Napili have been suspended until further notice while the area and its people heal, repair, and recover.
While these recovery efforts are underway, it is important to note that all of the other areas of Maui are still open and welcoming of guests. This includes popular spots such as Wailea, Kihei, Maalaea, and Hana, and the local Hawaii activity providers in these destinations continue to feature a variety of memorable activities on land, sea and air.
During your visit to Maui, you are welcome to enjoy all the beauty, history, and culture that the island has to offer, and guests are also asked to travel with mindfulness and consideration. Show compassion, kindness and aloha to employees and residents, and above all, keep to the areas outside of West Maui and do not attempt to go to Lahaina.
