Beautiful setting, but the boat ride and crew left something to be desired.
Reviewed by: Anonymous, 2023/08/19Loved Molokini, but the boat experience was just okay. The crew seemed short/curt and not very welcoming. There was one crew member that was absolutely wonderful, friendly, and inviting. It also felt like a heavy sales pitch once you boarded. Everything, from additional gear (wet suit), scuba, photos, all costs extra and it's not cheap. Food was just okay. Also, know that when you snorkel, they limit you to how far from the boat you can go. All that said, the water and natural beauty was incredible. I recommend it for that reason alone.

Fun but could be longer.
Reviewed by: alib199, 2018/06/11Overall the trip was what was expected however I feel like there should be more time allowed to snorkel. You arrive to the dock and get on the boat. They have a small muffin style breakfast available. - The drive to the spot is about an hour, you get maybe an hour to snorkel and eat, then you head back which is about an hour. I wish we would have more time to snorkel and relax. It feels very rushed, rightfully so maybe, but for the money you figured you would have a little more time to just be and relax. The lunch is nice and plentiful. The equipment is fine enough and they give you options to purchase a top half wet suit, for cash only so bring some if you want to do that. You can also rent camera's if you would like. There was someone there who took professional style pictures so that was a nice bonus. Of course they cost but not as much as I figured. - The crew knows their information and is fun with their jokes and fun on the boat. The glass bottom is only open when you stop to snorkel and between snorkeling and eating I forgot to look and when I remembered we were leaving and it was closed. You have only a small amount of space to snorkel at once you're at the crater. It's very packed full of people and other boats so it's not really a relaxed snorkel. It feels crowded and time is limited. For our first experience it was a good time but we just which we had more time. This excursion doesn't go to the turtle part either. We picked it for the glass bottom over the turtle snorkeling and we wish we wouldn't have done that.

Nice Time!
Reviewed by: Wendy R, 2018/04/05This is an excellent company to tour with. The weather could have been better, but that is out of their control. They were very friendly and professional, and the boat was clean and fun. Would consider them again, snorkeling was okay, I've had better and worse.

Great Staff!
Reviewed by: Shelley Gehlbach, 2016/05/27I snorkeled out at Molokini when I was 10 years old and was really happy to make it back 30 years later. I did notice a big difference in the reef and diminished marine life, however, and would suggest for the benefit of that particularly sensitive environment, that it be strongly suggested to guests to buy reef-safe suntan lotion.
That said, the captain was a riot, the staff was all very friendly, and the experience was well worth the money and time spent :)

Enjoyable

Great fun

It was a different experience having lunch on a cruise after snorkeling. The staff was very nice and friendly and made sure we enjoyed and had fun. If we go back to Hawaii, then will definitely take this cruise again.

Snuba was fun

It was a one-hour sail to the crater, however in that short timespan, I started feeling the effects of the water motion. This was partly due to the fact that we had spent 25 minutes listening to the snuba instructor's instructional briefing, which kept us focused on him, inside the boat. By not keeping our eyes on the horizon during that time, we started feeling queazy earlier than expected.
The snuba itself was fun, although I had difficulty sinking down to the bottom despite the weights. I guess my technique needs improvement. The water was beautiful and warm, and the fish were fun to see.
Both breakfast and lunch were provided on the catamaran. Breakfast was served at 7:30 am, when the boat departed the harbour, and lunch was served at 10:00 am upon arrival at Molikini. It was a little odd to have hamburgers and hot dogs served at that time, and we weren't really hungry due to the queasiness, so we didn't eat. Luckily, I had br

Great Snorkeling tour for family

All the people we looked after well during the snorkeling. Underwater video and photoshoot was a great experience. Highly recommended for family. Had a three year old daughter with me. She had great time as well.

Crystal Clear Water
