Honestly, being a beginner, I panicked when I went underwater the first time. But Ema was super attentive, and immediately helped me out! I calmed myself, went inside, and enjoyed it thoroughly. I don't think anyone could have taught me better than her!
P.S. I don't know swimming, but I not only survived but enjoyed it!
I think everyone can, but provided you follow the instructions and let the instructor know about your discomfort at the right time.
