This is kayaking for only the most adventurous. Each stroke of your paddle will get you further on this 15-mile adventure to the incredible sea cliffs of the Na Pali coast. Experience the mystery of the mist-covered valleys and cool, lava-formed sea caves that have become legendary throughout Hawaiian history. Wonder at mile-high waterfalls that plummet into the blue Pacific. An epic, world-renowned ocean experience with a delicious lunch along the way. This is a day on the water that you are sure to remember.

Lunch & Drink
  • Your choice is either a turkey or veggie sandwich with a build-your-own buffet of assorted vegetables, mayo and mustard.
  • Lunch includes fruit and a delicious fresh-baked brownie.
  • Cold bottled water and Hawaiian Sun fruit drinks are available throughout the day.
You can bring along your own sports drinks or energy snacks to enjoy during the day. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to bring in the tour.

  • This Na Pali Kayak Adventure is a somewhat strenuous 17-mile paddle in typically heavy seas.
  • If you are prone to severe heavy seasickness, this trip would be difficult for you to enjoy... If you feel that you may get slightly nauseous, taking motion sickenss medicine before the tour is recommended.
  • No children under 16 on this tour please.
  • You MUST be able to swimm to attend this tour.

  • Beach Picnic Lunch at Miloli’i
  • Kayak to Polihale State Park (4 miles)
    165900 After lunch, you'll have a 4-mile paddle in typically calm water to Polihale, where the van will be waiting.
  • Van Ride Back to Outfitters Headquarters at Poipu (South Shore)
    Bring an extra set of clothing and an extra towel. You can rinse off some salt at Polihale before the van ride home.
  • 18:30-19:00 Check-out
    • Participants should be comfortable in the water, in good physical condition, and not prone to sea-sickness.
    • Participants must be able to swim to participate in this tour.
    • Participants must be able to paddle about 10 miles total, and not prone to severe seasickness.
    • This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
    • People 16 years old and above can participate in this activity.

Do I need to be able to swim to participate?
  • Yes, you MUST be able to swim to participate in this kayaking adventure.
Are you required to wear a life jacket?
  • Yes, life jackets will be required to be worn at all times.
What happens if the kayak flips over?
  • You are not strapped into the kayak and are wearing a life vest. Your guide will happily assist you in getting back into the kayak and ready to go again.
What if I am prone to seasickness?
  • If you are prone to severe seasickness, this tour may not be for you. For those who may get nauseous but want to go, consider taking an over the counter motion sickness preventative before the tour.
How many people are there in a tour group?
  • There is a minimum group size of 4 people and a maximum of 12 people with 2 guides.
What kind of kayaks and equipment will be used?
  • The kayaks used are tandem, open-cockpit (sit-on-top type), self-bailing kayaks with foot pedal controlled rudders to facilitate safety and ease of operation. Fiberglass paddles are lightweight with a tether and you will receive a life vest, and dry bag to keep your personal items dry.
