Superb tour!
Reviewed by: LammyP, 2023/05/21We thoroughly enjoyed this sightseeing tour, with driver & guide, Kaleo. He was helpful, informative and hilarious! Stories, quips and jokes all day long. We even learned how to pronounce "humuhumunukunukuapua`a"! We saw some highlights of the beautiful island of Kaua`i including the spouting horn blow hole and we were lucky enough to get a clear view of the waimea canyon, before the clouds rolled in! We had a tasty lunch at chicken in a barrell and sampled delicious coffee at the Kaua`i coffee plantation. The trail at the state park is very short and the order of the stops is different to that listed on the veltra site, but regardless we would 100% recommend this tour.

Breath Taking Views, Relaxing Ride & Delicious Lunch!

What we experienced:
- Pick Up - we got picked up at 7:30 in the morning by the shuttle and then it went to many other hotels to pick up other passengers. Your time will vary depending on where your hotel is.
- Sights - we got to see all the sights listed on the itinerary including some extras at the beach. We saw the Monk Sealions and Turtles at the beach and that was a bonus treat! The pit stops were the perfect amount of time to hop out to take photos, enjoy the sight and then move on.
- Waimea Canyon - lots of different view points - we got to see it from all around. There was PLENTY of picture ops. This was really a hop on hop off photo tour. So don't expect any hikes or long walks. What I loved is I never had to worry about the parking situation, paying park fees, or the driving obviously. It's perfect for anyone without a car or for cruise go-ers. Even though we had a car rental, I didn't regret not having to do this drive myself. I got to nap on the way back because even though I didn't hike, it still was a long day.
- Lunch - The food exceeded my expectations after reading the reviews (I'm sure the bad experiences were during Covid times). We had huge chicken portions and it was seasoned well and cooked well. The plantation that we ate at was beautiful and relaxing so we enjoyed the lunch break a lot.
- Coffee plantation tour - nice pit stop that we wouldn't have made on our own but enjoyed the op to tag along on this tour.
Our tour guide (so sorry for not remembering his name-Italian man from NJ originally) was great. He gave good history, good info all while he was driving. He had so much knowledge and good recommendations and really funny!!
The tour was exactly what we wanted to explore a large chunk of the island - no stress and no worry on our part.

Good tour, but not enough time at the major sites.
Reviewed by: MJL, 2022/07/13The tour was good. The tour guide was excellent! Less time shopping and more time at the sites to hike would make this an excellent tour. We did enjoy it and would recommend it, especially if you don't have transportation.

Waimea Canyon and the south and west side sightseeing on/off tour with lunch!

We covered about 1/2 of the island Kauai from the south, the west, and the north side from about 9a-4p.The places we stopped were great and the were plenty of bathroom breaks! I did think there would be more hiking involved because of the description. There is a nature trail at Koke’e State Park that is nice. Our guide was a native Hawaiian with great stories to tell!
The shops in Hanapepe were fun to shop at! We loved the swinging bridge there! And, the stop at the coffee farm was great with amazing coffee to be taste tested and purchased. You could also see the coffee beans being grown on the trees! It was a fun trip!

Perfect tour for a first visit to Kauai!
Reviewed by: Charisse Palaad, 2021/08/15This tour was absolutely wonderful! It was my family’s first visit to Kauai and it was overwhelming seeing all the activities that are available on the island. We settled for this as a way to see a lot of the main sights and it was the PERFECT way to spend the day! We had Kana’e (sp?) as our guide and she was absolutely a joy to spend the day with. She talked stories with us, shared her culture with us and told us all the places to go for our trip! The sights were gorgeous and we recommend this to anyone who is visiting for the first time!!

Excellent tour!
Reviewed by: John - NJ, 2021/08/06The tour was at an easy pace and covered the West side of the island concluding with spectacular views and vantage points of Waimea Canyon. Our driver Rosario was thorough with explanations, local trivia, and very personable to everyone. The pickup and drop offs from the hotels were punctual. The lunch was also good as were the local stops in Hanapepe and Waimea. Each stop including those of Waimea Canyon allowed for plenty of time to use the facilities, investigate the area, and take plenty of photos. The tour bus had plenty of space, and was air conditioned and comfortable. I would recommend this tour for any visitors to the Garden Isle!
