Whale watch season in Hawaii lasts from December until April. During this period, Humpback Whales migrate to Hawaii from Alaska to breed, calve and raise their babies. This whale watching ocean rafting tour’s destination will be the sunny south-west coast of Kauai. The vessel has a hydrophone that allows you to hear the whales' song, the sounds they make to communicate. Captain Andy’s has been operating Kauai Boat Tours since 1980. Your captain and crew are experienced at scanning the water conditions and finding the best spot for whale watching. Also, they will share educational information about Hawaiian marine life, especially whales, during your whale watching tour.
This activity operates only during whale watching season. Don't miss this opportunity to see wild whales right before your eyes!

《Vessel》
24-foot Discovery class rigid hull inflatable raft, as known as "zodiac boat".
This raft attaches an inflatable tube with a rigid aluminum hull to make a boat practically unsinkable, even in rough waters. This motorized rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) has a capacity of 14 passengers—smaller than other cruise vessels—and offers a more exciting ride and better maneuverability in any type of water.

☆Humpback whale facts☆
• Did you know the Humpback Whale has two blowholes?
They have one blowhole for each lung, each of which is the size of a small car!

• Did you know that whales don’t eat while they are staying in Hawaii?
Humpback Whales mainly eat krill, which don't live in tropical waters. While in Hawaii, whales have to survive on their stored fat, even after they travel 3,000miles from Alaska to Hawaii—a journey that takes 6 to 8 weeks.
