Kauai is the oldest island of Hawaii and is also the most beautiful, filled with tropical rainforests, beautiful beaches and towering mountains with cascading waterfalls. This tour gives you Hawaiian cultural experiences on both land and sea. Spend 3 hours in the National Tropical Botanical Gardens watching a hula show and learning about the plants Polynesian voyagers brought into Hawaii and the navigation system these voyagers used to cross the Pacific. Next, set the sail along Poipu’s sunny south shore for a sunset dinner cruise with a buffet style dinner served on board. Enjoy the local flavors and a refreshing tropical “Mai Tai” with stunning sunset views and fresh sea breezes.

Size: A state-of-the-art, 48-foot long Sailing Catamaran with a 60-foot mast
Capacity: Licensed to carry 45 passengers, but limited to 37 passengers for comfort & safety

What if I am prone to seasickness?
  • Consider taking an over the counter motion sickness preventative before your cruise if you are worried about sea sickness. Ocean conditions can be unpredictable and may turn rough; this activity may not be suitable for all travelers.
What should I wear to this activity?
  • Comfortable clothing is recommended. It can get somewhat cool out at sea, so you may also want to bring a sweatshirt or light jacket. Please be aware that your clothing may get wet due to splashing sea water or light rain.
Is there parking available?
  • Yes. Please park your vehicles in the designated Holo Holo Charters parking lot located on the right side of the road after the Port Allen Marina Center. Come into the office located in the Port Allen Marina center to check in. Do not park at the harbor or pier, otherwise your vehicle may be towed.
Are there any restrooms on the boat?
  • Yes. The catamaran for this tour “Leila” is equipped 2 restrooms down in the hull of the vessel.
What type of vessel we take in this tour?
  • “Leila” is a 48-foot long catamaran with 60-foot mast. Her design is based on a historical prototype. The mast is made to increase the sailing performance in the trade-winds of Kauai and her sleek construction creates a comfortable ride. The Leila is operated with safety and efficiency in mind. A maximum of 37 passengers are carried to ensure a comfortable journey.

  • Any reservation rescheduled 24 hours prior to check in will be subject to a rescheduling fee of $25 per person. This charge will be collected by Holo Holo Charters when the booking is rescheduled.
