A nice evening

Fun luau show at the hotel

One thing I like a a luau is some of the history of the Hawaiian Islands and Polynesia and this show had some good dances going over the history and region. The house band was excellent and the host, while being kind of Vegas lounge singer-esque, hit a tone that was welcoming and fun. There was some audience participation and the event was generally a good time. The food and drinks we're a little less impressive and while they were as advertised and a typical luau fair, the quality was more of a banquet at a hotel style and the main reason for the 4 star over the 5 star. Fun luau, worth the purchase.

Loved it!
Reviewed by: April , 2022/05/06Had seating for 5 and was awesome to get our photo taken so if we wanted, we could purchase after the show. It rained in the beginning for half an hour but they had ponchos for everyone. Finally the rain stopped and the music was cool. We got to eat and the show started. Loved everything about the host and how he explained everything like a story teller. My family enjoyed the food and the show. The luau was great and we left happy! Photos and memories! I recommend for sure. Mahalo!

Great first luau experience
Reviewed by: Heather B, 2022/04/13We had a great time at the Royal Kona Voyagers of the Pacific luau. The dancers and musicians were wonderful, the setting was stunning and the food was very filling. I would recommend planning on getting there a bit early as parking does get crowded and you do have to wait in line to check in, but the process was quick and very smooth.

It was perfect: the food was fine , not Grand but I just am a picky eater so I think it was fine. The show was awesome !!! Well done! The host of the show did a good job also : getting old so his voice wasn’t fantastic but who cares .

Fun show - great for family!

Great entertainment

One small complaint: $20.00 for one couple picture at the Luau seemed, to us, overpriced. We noticed that a lot of guests did not purchase it, probably for the same reason as us.

Great performance
Reviewed by: BeePos, 2016/07/25Talented and great looking actors, musicians and hostess. The food was high quality. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the Mai Tais. They were mainly juice, super sweet and head-ache inducing. The bar closed much earlier than dinner ended, so I couldn't take advantage of the open bar. Another thing that didn't seem fair is that teenagers paid the same as adults. And of course they weren't drinking...

Great Show, good food

Nice atmosphere on the lawn by the ocean. Fire dancer was pretty awesome. Great view of the sunset. We would do this again.

Very entertaining

If you're staying at the Royal Kona Hotel, you can see the show for free from the poolside. But the food was delicious and it was fun being included on stage and in the show itself. We're not drinkers, so the value for money wasn't there for us, but we still truly enjoyed ourselves. We brought our three kids with us and they had a lot of fun as well. It was entertaining for everyone!

Awesome Luau
Reviewed by: Ashley, 2013/10/01This was the first luau any of us had ever been to. It was an awesome dinner and show. They weren't stingy on the alcohol and everyone was very nice. A highlight of the show was the guy that juggled knives while they were on fire. After the show, the dancers came out to meet and take pictures! I would definitely recommend this show to anyone!

Very enjoyable luau
Reviewed by: David, 2013/05/05We had a very nice time at this luau. The setting was beautiful, the food delicious, plenty of drink available with fast service when refilling, and friendly staff. Something we really liked about this luau compared to one we attended on Maui is that this is a much smaller crowd which was very conducive when refilling beverages and getting your food at the buffet.
