Then, visit the gift shop & snack bar at the visitor center where you can make some purchase, at your own expense. Don't miss tasting the luscious chocolate-covered mac nut!
  • Drop-off
    • The tour is ADA accessible. Please contact the activity provider at least 18 hours in advance for request of ADA vehicle.
    • For guests using electric wheelchairs, the combined weight of the wheelchair and guest cannot exceed 500 lbs.
    • The Akaka Falls Lookout is not wheelchair accessible.
    • If less than 4 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
    • Children of all ages can participate in this activity.

    • Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory is closed on the weekends and holidays, but the visitors center is open daily.
    • The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.
    • The activity provider does not assume any responsibility for your valuables and/or personal belongings.
    • Children three (3) years old and under are free, but will need to sit on a parent or guardian's lap if there are no available seats.

Will I be back in time before my ship departs from the pier?
  • Yes. Shore Excursions Tours are created specifically to cater to popular tours for cruise line passengers and designed around your cruise ship’s itinerary. For most of the Shore Excursions, the driver will pick you up from the pier and return you to the pier before your ship leaves the dock. All you need to do is book the tour and look for the Roberts Hawaii Staff when you arrive at the pier.
What if the cruise ship changed the port and we missed the port.
  • If the cruise ship’s itinerary changes for any reason (i.e. force majeure, weather cancellations), you will be provided a full refund for the specific tour that was missed.
